It really could not have gone any better! From the beginning getting an estimate, to giving them the approval to the finish. We worked with Mike and he was so nice and professional! Our roof was completed when they said it would be...it looks so nice! We are thrilled with Roofs Direct, and I am very fussy! You won't be disappointed!!

The gutters on my house look GREAT! I had many estimates, and this one was the best one, therefore I went with "Gutters Direct" Mike came out and gave me an estimate and he was very professional and easy to talk to. A relative of my had gutters put on last year with a different company and we compared product and price and he was impressed by mine, as mine were cheaper and the quality was much better. Overall I was very pleased with there punctuality and I would certainly recommend them!

Called Gutters Direct this past Saturday and Mike Henry came out to our home the same day and reinstalled the downspout. Real nice guy and he did a great job. Would definitely hire Mike again!

I contacted them in late winter, and was not surprised when they told me they were not working for the season yet. I was surprised when they contacted me barely a week later, during a warm snap. Things went quickly after that - they came look at the project pretty much the next day, and within just a few days more returned to install my new gutters. The team was quick, and the gutters look great and function well. They switched to larger downspouts, and moved them to areas with better drainage. Price was competitive. My biggest complaints is that they were pretty rough around a couple of my shrubs and beat them up a bit, and that I'm finding a fair number of brackets, nails and bits of cut sheet metal scattered around the house. (I'm a little nervous about mowing the first time this spring.)

Well the gutters did finally get installed. It started off great and then the installer called to come out and install. However he never showed up, I emailed and they said their machine broke- but no one called or emailed to let us know. Week two comes- installer calls again, comes out to our house and we get home nothing was touched. So I call and email again asking what happened. I get and email back saying the installer is no longer with the company. I'm assured a new installer will be out on Tuesday - which he was and he did a good job. Didn't pick up all the old material as I found some in the bushes, not to mentioned the down spout changed location which now exposes a part of my house that is a different paint color. So I need to paint a strip of my house. The guy emailed and said he's come out over the weekend and give us a gift card, for our trouble with the installer. No call and no one stopped by. Over all the gutters did get done and they are a nice product. Maybe we just had a rare incident.

The real test of service is when something doesn't go right the first time (stuff happens) and what happens in response. In this case, the installer used wrong color, because of mixup, and no problem, Gutters Direct came back and swapped out gutters all over again with great job. That is the true sign of good service.

This is the nicest, most professional company. They let me know I didn't need as much work done as I thought which is amazing in this day and age. Mike came by the same day I bought the special 299 for 50 linear feet of gutter, made the estimate and because of the windy conditions they were behind in scheduling, but only about 10 days later they showed up to install, it took less than an hour and a half, very good looking install.

Beyond expectations! The workers were timely and knowledgeable. The work done was well done. Mike Henry, the company's Sales Manager, is personable, friendly, ethical and also professional. The wind had blown off the upper downspouts from gutters installed by a different company. Mike replaced those downspouts for us at no charge! There are very few businesses which operate with that level of ethics and integrity. He was more concerned about the client as opposed to haggling over who did what! That is the type of company you want to do business with: thorough, detail oriented, accountable. I would definitely recommend them and do business with them any time!Mike Henry is a REAL asset to this company.

This is revision of previous review where I gave F because they never responded. Lisa called me on 12/8 (original request was on 11/21), said my email had gone to junk folder and there was some other confusion. She was apologetic and tried hard to meet my schedule for meeting. I have not made a decision reading the work but I wanted to update my review. Unfortunately the system does not allow me to revise my review once it's been posted, so I am writing a new review. I will write a third review if I decide to have them perform the work.

A bit of a rocky beginning when I took time off from work to meet rep to go over the work I needed done and they missed the appointment. Because of that I wasn't sure we had a solid understanding of the problem and what needed to be done to resolve it. After talking with the office person I felt better about the issue. They had a different resolution to the water problem than I did, but they are the experts and I accepted their recommendation. The work was completed and it looks good.

We signed a contract with them and they told us that it would take two partial days to do our gutter installation. They were here seven times spread out in a month. They did the gutters wrong. They did several things that wasn't what we had talked to them about. I called them to tell them that no one came to finish. One time the guy came and he sat in his truck for 45 minutes. I knocked on the truck window and asked if he was going to finish that same day, he said yes. He did not finish and he was not there very long. He left without telling us he was leaving. I am not happy at all with the service. When the guy came back I let him know that we were unhappy with the job taking so long. They had done something than what we had talked about in the front. We wanted them to correct that, and he said that he didn't have the materials that he needed but they wanted me to pay in full. I said absolutely not and that we can't even get you to come back when we owe the full amount, so if we pay you in full we would never see you again. He said you will see us again. They were not happy that I said that. They made me talk to the owner of the company, to get his permission to pay half because the job was not completed.

Thanks for the review. We are sorry that it took couple of days more than normal in completing your job. We try to finish the job in a day or 2 normally if the weather permits.It would be a loss for us if we make more trips for 1 job. Unfortunately, our installer became very sick at the time of installing your gutters. He was fighting a severe migraine when you spotted him sitting in the truck .He was not thinking straight at that time and left the place with out informing you. We apologize for that. The installer didnot have authority to collect partial payment, thats why you had to talk to the owner so he can allow that. Once owner approved, we took half payment and took another half after completing the job to your satisfaction. Once again we apologize and make sure to do better job in the similar situations.

The gutters work well, look good, and seem very solid. Work was completed on the day planned and the price I paid was better than the other bids I received. The estimate didn't go quite as planned as Billy called right before he was supposed to arrive and said he'd be 30 mins late (but then was actually much closer to an hour late). The day of the install, they started much later than I had been told (not that it really mattered as I didn't have to meet them). They left a bunch of small debris in the yard and some remnants of the old downspouts attached to the house (despite saying that he would remove). More, a long downspout with a hinge (to lift-up for mowing) isn't very sturdy (the screw than fastens the two pieces together at the hinge came undone after 2 uses and again after about every 3rd use). It was a good price and done on-schedule so I'm not unsatisfied with the job, they just have some consistency issues.

Overall everything went smoothly, though there's one caveat. The evaluation was performed a week before and at the time I was told it would be best to have two down-spouts on either side as all of the water hitting the roof would otherwise be funneling through a single exit on either side, which might overwhelm the gutters. This is what I was told would be installed. On the day of installation, without telling me, they only did one downspout on each side. When asked why, the same guy who had done the evaluation told me they'd decided it was unnecessary during the installation. It might have been true, but it came across as abrupt and instead sounded like they just wanted to be done with the job or to save on materials and have a higher profit margin. If you agree to Product and Service A with your customer, don't turn around and then give them Product and Service B while they're not looking. Keep to the agreement.

We needed our gutters and downspouts upgraded, so I called Gutters Direct for an estimate based on their excellent reviews on Angie's List. I talked to Lisa and we scheduled an estimate for a few days later at 11:00. The day of the estimate, no one showed up or called, so at 11:30 I called them to check on where they were. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. At around 1:00, my cell phone rang and I thought it was them, so I picked up but no one was there. No voicemail was left and they never called back. That evening, Lisa called and said that her husband had tried to come to my house, but got stuck in State Fair traffic and gave up. She said he had tried calling me twice, but no one answered, so he turned around and went home. I explained that I only received one phone call at around 1:00, which was two hours past our scheduled time, and no one was there or left any messages on my cell phone. I told her that I had waited around at home all morning, so I was going to go with another company. She apologized and said the traffic was beyond their control and they had tried to reach me, and that they have excellent Angie's List reviews and would never do that to a customer. So I rescheduled the estimate for a few days later. She said they would be leaving an outer suburb at around 2:30 and wasn't sure what time they would be there, but would call when they're on their way. I told her that I had a meeting that evening at 5:30, so as long as we were finished up by around 5, it would be fine. She assured me that they would definitely have enough time to get there. When the day of that estimate came, Lisa called me at 2:40 and said that they were leaving their first job, but would be late because they had another estimate to do before mine. She estimated they would be here in around one hour. She asked if that was OK, so I reminded her that I had to be somewhere by 5:30 and was planning on leaving the house at 5, so it was fine if we could be finished up by then. She assured me that wasn't a problem. When 5:00 came, I still hadn't heard anything from them, so I left the house to go to my meeting. I figured when I hadn't heard anything by about 4:30 it meant they weren't coming, since they knew of my time constraint. At around 5:30, I received a call from Lisa saying they were lost in my alley and couldn't find my house. I was surprised that they had come at all, since they knew I wouldn't be home. I told her that I wasn't home anymore, and to just forget it since I had waited around the house twice for them and they didn't let me know what was going on in a timely fashion. She wasn't very happy about that, saying that traffic had been bad, and said that they drove all the way to my place and wanted to do the estimate anyway if they could just find my house. My house number is clearly displayed on my garage in the alleyway, so I don't know why they couldn't find it. I didn't want to do business with a company that acted so unprofessionally, so I said don't bother. She didn't like that and hung up pretty abruptly. Gutters Direct should have called me as soon as they realized they weren't going to make it anywhere near on time for either of the scheduled estimates, instead of waiting until the evening or until they've already pulled up to my neighborhood a couple hours late after they know I'm no longer home. I have a cell phone with voicemail, so there's no reason not to leave a message if I didn't pick up, as they claimed. I would not recommend them.

Hi [Member Name Removed] Thanks for sharing your experience. We are sorry that you are upset, we checked with our manager, Lisa and we are providing her response on what happened. [Member Name Removed] called us to get her downspouts upgraded to a bigger size and for us to measure for possibly installing gutter guards/covers. I looked thru the schedule informing her this has been a very busy month from all the heavy rains we have been getting and thanked her for her patience as I looked for a space to fit her in our schedule as we were booked up for over 2 weeks for estimates. I was able to find a spot that we could squeeze her in sooner. I explained to her that our estimator who also does the installs will call her the day of 8/26 when he is on his way in between the 2 installs we had scheduled that day. We did not have a set time that day due to the fact that we have no idea how long installs can take so I gave her a rough window of possibility but also informed her this could change. We then agreed the estimator would call when he was on his way. He attempted 1 phone call when he was on his way. He said the number rang 4 times and went to a fast busy signal. He then called a second time to let her know he was almost there. He said the phone just stopped ringing and no one was there. Must be the call she spoke of at around 1pm. He then decided after 2 unsuccessful calls and running into severe traffic due to the 2nd day of the State Fair being open he would turn around and go back to the install where he left his helper at to complete it. He then came back to the office giving me the info and what happened so I called her to let her know what had happened and apologized and she got very nasty with me telling me we are unprofessional to not call or show up. I apologized to her again stating we do not make a habit doing this to customers as our Angies list shows that we are very professional and prompt and would she be willing to let us come out on another day, and she agreed. We scheduled a new date which was for 8/30. We had 13 estimates to do and again we squeezed her in for the inconvenience of what happened for the first attempted estimate. I called her that afternoon around 3pm letting her know that we were running behind due to a couple customers that were very thorough with their wants and needs setting us behind an already tight schedule. We were finally able to head her direction and started to do so at around 4:15 leaving Lakeville to head to her place in St. Paul. I thought we would make it just fine then we hit bad traffic on 35E due to rush hour starting and then when we got near her area GPS brought us right to the front gates of the Fair which was also horrible traffic. We arrived to her street at about 4:50pm and seen her road was closed due to construction, which she mentioned to me and I forgot about, so we turned around and went into the alley where we could not find her address. We found 1236 and then the addresses jumped to 1240. We could not find 1237, 1238, or [Member Information Removed] (her address) as we drove up and down the alley turning around 3 times. I then pulled over and called her letting her know we are having trouble finding the address and again, she got very upset with me.I explained the best I could where we were, describing one garage to see if she could direct us to her house and she said no. I apologized for now being 18 mins late and told her it was not necessary for her to be present for the estimate. She then said no thank you we are going to go with someone else. I said again, you do not need to be here and we drove all the way here could we please perform the estimate still? She said I dont care if you drove all the way here, this is the 2nd time you screwed up, not my problem. At that point, it sounded like she hung up on me, so I hung up. I am very sorry this situation happened. Again, we are really sorry about the whole incident which was to some extent out of our control. We really want to help with your gutters and can offer additional discount on the pricing for the inconvenience. We assure to be more careful with scheduling for this not to happen again.

Great service and result. Came out to find a color that matched our fascia (it's amazing how many different shades of cream there are), and found a near perfect match.
