Plumb Right

Estimate claimed work would take 2.5 hours and I signed off on estimate. Work only took an hour. Quality of work seemed fine. Paying $424 for 1 hour of work and 8 inches of new pipe seemed quite excessive. Would definitely not use again.

We called Plumb Right for an estimate for a back up sump pump install and a tub to shower conversion. They came out to estimate and left a detailed estimate. They have a set pricing schedule so you know they have a consistent and straight forward pricing for a job. Devon was very accommodating to find a time to do the work 3 days later. He showed up on time and completed the job. While he was here we had replace 2 outdoor back flow devices that were broke and changed indoor faucet filters. While I do not think they are low cost, they have treated us very well on several past calls, do excellent work and very professional. We will have them do more work and would not have any problem recommending them for any project large or small.Backup

Dj showed up shortly after 2:00 and begin the installation. Devon showed up shortly thereafter to help. Both were neatly dressed, put on booties to not track dirt into our house and were very polite and articulate. They put down drop cloths from the front door to the basement work area so that all our carpets and wood floors were protected. They completed the installation in a very short time, explained the water heaters operation to me, cleaned everything up and left. It was a very positive experience, and I will surly call them again for my plumbing problems.

I found the plumber on Angies List. Called them and they were able to fit me in on the same day. I told them my time was flexible, so when the plumber was available early, he called and asked if he could come early. I said yes, and met him at the house. I had wanted to keep the old soap dispenser, and not use the extra-spray nozzle that came with the faucet I purchased. Immediately on seeing the faucet I had purchased, he informed me that that would not work, because he had no way to block the spray nozzle. I decided to go ahead with the install anyway, and discard my old soap dispenser. I also asked him to look at some dripping from the upstairs bathroom into the downstairs one. He diagnosed it as the upstairs toilet having come loose from its seating. He quoted a price to fix it. The quote was high, so I also asked for a quote on replacing it. He quoted that, and I agreed to do that. (Because the toilet was old and had other issues). Both jobs were completed within 2.5 hours, and he left after cleaning up.

Devon was extremely polite and professional. He was able to unclog the toilet very quickly using a snake. Also, I had put Zep hair clog remover down the bathroom sink drain which eats metal so the stopper broke off the bathroom sink drain and fell into the goose neck thing. He got it out and replaced the stopper and trap. The bathroom sink drain now works as if it is new. I don't think it has ever drained this fast before. I called them because they have Saturday service. I think the plumber was very polite and did good work. He fixed both problems. My only hesitation to use them is the flat rate pricing. My experience has been things cost quite a bit more this way than charging by time and materials. It took an hour total, yet cost $490. I would use them again if I needed Saturday service.

Very professional, very prompt, and fantastic service!! Both of our calls with Plumb Right were handled superbly. The guys that come out are very professional and courteous and go above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied. I could not be happier with their service and will continue to use them in the future.

I discovered that a drainpipe in my basement was leaking, at a spot where the original copper was joined to a newer plastic pipe. The plumber from Plumb Right, Matthew, arrived early in the one-hour appointment window, left his snow boots on the front step, and slipped on a pair of booties to head downstairs and perform his inspection. He had me flush the upstairs toilet a couple times so he could find just where the leak was, and then tried the simplest--admittedly longshot--solution: tightening the mission band that surrounded the junction between the copper and plastic pipes. That didn't work, but I appreciated that he tried the easy (i.e., quick and cheap) solution first. After looking at things in more detail, Matthew decided the next thing to try was replacing the old copper with new plastic. Several smaller drains run into the main one, so he had to figure out what had to be detached and what had to be cut out and replaced. After that, he gave me a price. Plumb Right's policy of giving a price up front, before any work starts, is aces in my book, and the price Matthew came up with was a lot less than I thought it would be. He had to run to a plumbing supply house for some of the replacement parts, but was back earlier than he'd estimated. After he cut out the old pipe, he showed me the leak: the copper had simply worn away after almost fifty years of service and developed a tear over an inch long--given that size, I was surprised that the leak hadn't been worse. Once he was done with the work, he had me flush both upstairs toilets to test the repairs, and neither of us saw any further leaking. I had to do a little extra vacuuming after he'd cleaned up and left, but it was nothing major. It's now a few days later, and I haven't seen any more leaking. Plumb Right followed up with a thank-you card and a coupon for $25.00 off their next service call. All in all, I had a great experience with Plumb Right and will in all likelihood use them in the future.

We found our plumbing to be leaking into the basement and had to make a call. Person answering the phone didn't think they would be able to get to us until the afternoon, but a technician ended up at our house before lunch. He was very professional and great with the kids and animals. He replaced the plumbing that needed fixing and left the place spotless. Thank you for the great work and experience once again.

They do excellent work. The people are extremely friendly. They come the same day they are called. They do great work. I would definitely use them again.

I called Plumb Right during the evening expecting an answering machine, got a 'real' person who scheduled an appointment for the next day at a time that was convienent to me. The technician (DJ) arrived promptly. He replaced the shut off valve, explained what he had done, showed me parts he replaced and asked me if I wanted to keep the parts. That night, I noticed that it still had a very, very slow leak. Called and scheduled an appointment for the next day (Again got a 'real' person not an answering machine). DJ arrived again and fixed the leak. I've had no problem since. He apologized and said to give him a call if there was still a problem. Have had no problem since. The work is guaranteed for a year. The only negative that I have is that the pricing is a little high. However, what makes this a good experience is DJ. DJ is courteous, cheerful and has very good people skills which goes a long way these days. The area was cleaned before he left, he explained everything he had done, he remembered that he had done work in this house previously and what he had done. This is the second time I have used Plumb Right and will use them again if the need arises.

Appointment was scheduled same day by Terry. Devon and Matthew arrived on time, covered their shoes, quickly identified the problem and took care of it. Checked all pipes to be sure there were no leaks and gave me some tips on how to avoid frozen pipes in the future. Cleaned up and were on their way!

I called this plumber because it had so many great reviews. I do agree that they provide excellent service. They are polite and very nice. They did quote me a price and I agreed to pay it because I wanted my shower fixed, I had taken the time off work, etc etc. But it took them about an hour to fix it and charged me $400. More expensive than highly paid lawyers or consultants. Very nice people but I won't be calling them again.

Dale did a good job after some coaching about how low the stack should be. Overall we thought the job was great but very spendy.

DJ was very friendly and informative about what he was doing as he installed the Insinkerator. He was very conscientious about being clean and respecting our home. I would have DJ & Plumb Right back to do additional work if needed. However, the cost for the install was high compared to other plumbing companies, but I believe Plumb Right is not only selling a service, but peace of mind by doing a quality job and respecting the home of the customer.

They where quick to respond when we had not hot water. They provided some valuable opinions of whether to put another electric water heater in or adding all the venting and hookups for a gas water heater. In addition, they assessed my water to determine if I needed a water softener. I got a discount for having both installed at the same time. They got the work done quickly and helped to educate me about my house. Great company to work with.

One morning my wife noticed some water pooling in the service room. She investigated and called me. I tried to get a couple of other plumbers listed on angie's list to come out but they were booked up for about a week. Called Plumb right and they were able to come out that same morning. One of the pipes was leaking and they fixed it. They also fixed the shutoff valve that would have shut off the water flowing through the pipe.

See "services performed". They were very responsive and quick to show up. The tech was nice and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the cost. Guess that is what it costs, though, but it did seem high.

They were professional, helpful, punctual -- I would absolutely use them again, and would recommend them to others. To reduce buildup, I had been using a strong chemical product that a different plumber had recommended, but I'm really happy to now have a biological treatment that's better for the environment (and for me and my family). Also, by putting a check valve in the drain, if the problem does occur again, the overflow will back up into my laundry sink, not the floor drain, so I won't have water on the floor. I was very pleased with their service overall -- I especially appreciated the speed of their response and their detailed explanation of the problem.

Had an old leaky drainpipe for our bathtub that was accessable in our basement, however was about to be drywalled over for a basement finish project. I attempted to fix the pipe myself, but ended up breaking it in half a rusty spot. It was a saturday, and the framing/drywall contractors were set to begin work the following Monday. Worried that I would not be able to find a plumber who could get to us in such short notice, I managed to find these guys, who came out in a matter of hours. Their service call fee ($50) I felt was definitely reasonable for a Saturday call on such short notice. The plumber was very professional and nice, and replaced the pipe. It was probably a tad more expensive than some of the plumbers I have used in the past...but not too bad. What I would expect for a weekend emergency job. The following day, I noticed just a small droplet of water leaking from the trap, and the bathtub would not drain. I called them back, again...time being of the essence. They came back on Monday to address the problem. Since there was a small leak, they waived the $50 trip fee, however charged me what I thought was a very high rate to snake the drain (~$200). Apparently, the new clean pipe allowed the bathtub to drain so quickly, that it forced all the hair and debris down so quickly that it developed a gigantic hairball where it met the stack. Part of me thought this was something that could have been addressed in the first service call...saving me the additional $200...however perhaps there was nothing else that could have been done at that time. Who knows. At the end of the day, I'm happy with the professionalism and responsiveness, not super happy with the price or the need to have them come back a second time. I'd use them again, but probably only if I was in a similar bind.

They came out to fix the toilet. While he was here he checked another toilet and checked the pipes under the kitchen sink. He then went down to check the water heater. He took down the information for my water heater so if I used them in the future they would have that information. While he was here he labeled all the faucets in the basement. It was more than I expected from my original call. The guy that came was very nice and very friendly.

We had a leak in one of the water pipes in our lower level. We contacted Plumb Right and they came over right away to take care of the problem for us. We have used them in the past, and they are very responsive and competitively priced. We will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs.
