Plumb Right

The job took 27 minutes to complete and I was charged $291 and that's an exorbitant amount for the work. It was a simple repair that was scheduled twenty four hours in advance. My opinion they recognized I didn't want to wait another 24 hours to have a kitchen sink since the problem occured over the weekend. By delaying the appointment they could bet that I didn't want to wait any longer to have the work done. The " coupon" was worth $25 dollars was virtually worthless since they tack on that amount to the bill. If a person doesn't have a coupon its more money in their pocket. On the positive side the plumber removed his shoes before coming into the house. Regardless the work was done but this was unacceptable when a plumber charges $580 dollars an hour. Yes I understand their " travel" time was included in the fee.

Plumb Right were a joy to deal with from start to finish. The guy who picked up my call was super polite, took all my details, repeated them back to me and told me what to expect when the plumber arrived. Perfect! I was given a 2 hour window and the plumber actually called me not far into that to let me know he was on his way. Perfect! When he arrived, he was friendly, professional, respectful of my home and knew exactly what to do. He even gave me advice on a couple of other issues as we chatted while he fixed the plumbing problem. He tested his fix multiple times to confirm the leak had gone away and told me everything he had done was covered by a 1 year warranty. Any more problems with the same issue, give them a call and they'll be out to fix it no questions asked. What more can you ask for? He went through the paperwork quickly, took my payment with no fuss (including the $25 Angie's discount) and advised me about other promotions they offer. When he left, he shook my hand, thanked me for the business and was on his way to his next appointment all in about an hour. This was an absolute text book example of how to treat a customer and how to lock in future repeat business. In summary: great telephone manner, very responsive, reasonable call out fee ($49), reasonable cost for the repair, totally professional and a pleasure to do business with. I have not needed a plumber before and I'm happy to say, I've found my go-to company from this point forward. I cannot recommend Plumb Right highly enough. Well done!

As soon as he walked in the door he took off his snow boots and then put fabric booties over his shoes. I told him it was only the basement floor and wasn't necessary but he covered his shoes anyway. First he looked over the problem and gave me the estimate on a couple different options for my approval before starting work. He installed the new shut off valve, then hiked through waist deep snow behind the house to replace the outdoor faucet, however due to the leak it was encased in ice and he couldn't work on it.. 2 nice things....i called them in the morning and they said someone could come out in late afternoon. I had an early evening obligation and was concerned about getting there on time so was thrilled when the plumber called me around 11:30 AM and said it was possible for him to come right after lunch. Secondly I believe I was billed a normal service charge, not an "emergency" rate that some companies have that are double or triple their regular rates. Generally you pay more for same-day service.

I have used this company several times over the last year for a variety of repairs and upgrades. They are very responsive, clearly explain the options and costs and are very professional. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else.

I called Plumb Right at around 8 am and they said they could be out to my house between noon and 2 pm. At 10 am, DJ called and said he was on the way. He arrived at 10:30. He was very pleasant and professional. I showed him the problem and he explained everything that he had to do to repair it and told me the cost. I agreed to pay and he proceed to repair it. It took him about an hour to fix it and he did a great job and made sure everything was working and cleaned up before he left. I would definitely hire Plumb Right again. As a matter of fact, I asked DJ to look at another problem before he left and he gave me a quote.

The area where the sump pump drains in the yard was not graded evenly and ultimately needed fr more work than they advised. Now I understand that this was not exactly their area of expertise and feel they should have suggested I pursue the problem with a landscape or drainage problem. At the very least they should have suggested that we install sump pumps with a battery back up. They simply did not go far enough, although I believe they made an honest mistake. They were professional but were not the correct company to be used in my situation.

Everything looks great and works great. We have used them in the past and they are considered our main plumbers for any plumbing work that may need to be done.

I have had good experience with Plumb Right. They have always been knowledgeable, responsive and reasonably priced.

Quote was 3x the amount of money that what we paid someone else to do. Way too expensive and felt like the quote was a total rip off. Would not use this plumber as there are many other choices that are just as reliable/dependable and of same quality for a fraction of the price

Fast and clean and efficient

DJ was on time, even a little early, but he called first. He fixed the slow leak and tightened up the faucet and explained what he did. He explained what was wrong with the shaky faucet and why he could not fix it. He took pictures of both issues with his cell phone, so that I could see what he was talking about without having to climb under and look myself. He was very patient with our puppy, easy to deal with and professional. I will have him back when we have our new faucet installed.

My water heater went out on a Saturday morning. I found Plumb Right in the January Angie's List booklet. I checked out the reviews on the website and all were positive. Matthew came out in less than 2 hours. He gave me an estimate which was very reasonable. My softener was rented and I've been meaning to buy one. I had him replace both the broken heater and the softener. It took a little more than 3 hours and he did a great job cleaning up. I'm glad I purchased the softener - I probably would not have gotten around to purchasing one had the opportunity not been right in front of my face. It would have been more rent $$ out the window. I had no idea how much a water heater would cost. However, I had priced out water softeners recently as I have been meaning to buy one. Given the fact that this situation was last minute I was very pleased with the price for both appliances. I did look up the price of both appliances after Matthew left. I think both items were an excellent price given the fact that I had no hot water and the problem was resolved in less than 5 hours of the phone call to Plumb Right. I will definitely use Plumb Right for any future plumbing needs. Note to the company owner - I was very impressed with Matthew's professionalism. quality of work and timeliness. Update 4//4/14 I had two big things go wrong with the heater and softerner. Both were installation issues and both resulted in water all over. A week after the install the softener was discharging water and it overshot the drain. It needed to be moved. About a month after the installation the water heater sprung a leak from the copper pipe going into the unit. Maybe not soldered properly??? Shortly after the install I received a really nice letter from the owner expressing thanks and hopes this would be a life long relationship. After the two problems I emailed my concerns over the two issues asking that it be forwarded to Dale tthe owner. I added that I am doing a kitchen and bath remodel and asked "why should I consider you for future work?" Here was the response (not from Dale): I?m sorry to hear that you have experienced another issue and glad that we were able to send our plumber back right away. This is certainly not an ordinary occurrence for our company, we have very few warranty call backs." REALLY? I don't care about your statistics. I do care about water all over the place TWICE and missed work TWICE while wating for someone to come fix it. Silly me. I seriously expected the owner to call me - as a customer service gesture - and apologize for the inconvenience. I did not receive a call. I do not think I will be using this company in the future. A phone might have changed that.

The tech arrived earlier than was quoted, which was great. Very friendly and courteous. Completely checked everything out and found the problem right away. ( drain needed to be snaked out back through the wall down to the basement to the main stack ) Also replaced waste pipes under the kitchen sink, ( they were old and worn out ) which also created a little more room under the sink. Everything worked great after that, and the whole time there was about an hour and fifteen minutes. I'm completely satisfied with the services performed. They will be my plumber of choice in the future.

Simple to set up and coordinate with the staff. I didn't have time to get other bids, and I'm happy with the work they did. The price could have probably been slightly cheaper, but the install was very clean. I see the same model heater online for around $1411. My cost of $1952 included a $49 trip fee / diagnostic fee, $25 angies list discount. I was pleased to get a letter in the mail a few days later from Plumb Right with the paperwork to submit a $100 rebate to CenterPoint energy. So in the end (after rebate) I spent about $1,852. I'd recommend and use Plumb Right again because they're so flexible and easy to work with.

Came on time, the day after Thanksgiving, no less, and with no extra charge for emergency and/or holiday, weekend. Devon took the time to explain my options, and gave good advices on prevention, how things worked etc. I rambled on, and worried that I cut into his time to work on my burst pipes. He said "Don't worry about it, I am here, so you are at my utmost concern. All other service calls can wait until I am done with your problem." What an assurance. Money can't buy that. But, oh my! The price(s was very steep on the service(s) provided. They go with "pre-set" prices instead of time + material + labor. In my case, it might not have been different because it took him a long time to fix everything. But that type of pricing may not work for everyone.

It turned out that the valve was just not tight and I made a mistake. I paid for the charge. It was amazing that he was amenable to check out our refrigerator which had stopped making ice. He messed around with it for a while and said that he wasn't sure what happened. He asked me if there was anything else he could do for charging this out. He wanted to make it worth my while and he did.

I had water leaking near the main line in the basement and thought it may possibly be connected to a rusty toilet flange. The urgency of the problem was magnified by the fact that there is only one bathroom in the home and it was mildly raining in my basement. This company was the first one out of 10 that I called that could do a same day appointment and their greeting was something along the lines of "Thank you for calling Plumb Right, how can we make you smile today?" I told the very nice lady that I was hoping they could make me smile by having someone available today to handle this rather urgent matter. Sure enough they did! They estimated it would be between 4 and 6 in the evening and asked if I would like to be advised if any technicians were available earlier if I would like them to come out, which I was definitely interested in. Sure enough, I got a phone call about an hour later from Matthew asking if it would be okay to come out within the next 30-45 minutes. Sure I said, come on over! Matthew was prompt, put the little protective foot covers on before walking on the floors and began his trouble shooting. It turned out not to be the toilet flange as originally suspected. The culprit was likely water/ice that got in near the air intake (don't know if that is the proper term) and was dripping down along the pipe from the roof. The roof had just been raked during the warm up last weekend. There were some other very minor adjustments made as the old lead base pipes were weeping very, very small beads of water. They tested all of the lines in the house, inspected every single water pipe they could -including the toilet and fixtures - and were confident that the plumbing was in working order and the issue was connected to the roof and accompanying roof raking that had just taken place. There was a small leak coming from one of the valves by the main water shut-off, and a relative strongly suggested having the shut off replaced with a different valve. Plumb Right did in fact fix the valve and only charged me for the valve and the service call - not all of the detective work it took them to try and trouble shoot the elusive and mysterious water pooling/drips in the basement. A second plumber also came out, Devon (sp) to assist with trouble shooting. Both plumbers were very knowledgeable, methodical and patient with trying to figure out what the problem was and weren't trying to push expensive repairs - although various options were discussed - depending on if there was a dooms day plumbing scenario at hand. Anyway, for the service fee, 4 1/2 man hours and main line shut off valve repair, other adjustments and the piece of mind they offered knowing that the plumbing issues were not catastrophic- all for the above mentioned price (and I had a $25 coupon to boot) - I would recommend them again in a heart beat and was very happy with them considering the issues that were involved.

My plumber was clean-cut & well-dressed, and had the appropriate footwear so as to avoid tracking any snow, dirt, or muck inside. He was also very professional, courteous, and well-spoken. The "white glove plumber" tag line isn't false advertising; it's actually true! He advised me on two courses of action, and estimated the cost for the one I selected prior to my agreement. I agreed, and the pipes were unfrozen shockingly quickly... within 10 seconds per pipe line. The price was higher than I would have expected, now having seen the level of effort involved, but I'd probably pay it again just for the piece of mind to have unfrozen pipes without any demolition work.

Finally, after years of concern for a slight gas leak at a connection downstairs in the laundry room, the gas man detected the area. I had a coupon for Plumb Right from Angie's booklet and called them. He came at 5:00 p.m. or so and I was amazed in how quickly he could take care of a worrisome problem we had for years. We even got a laugh because he said it wasn't necessary for me to wrap the gas pipe with the tubes used for water pipes. I finally learned how to write a review by studying the screens.

Devan was very friendly and professional. Appreciate the companies quick response as job was done one day after calling to schedule. Install took about an hour and a half and everything works as it is supposed to. Was charged a $49 trip charge just to quote. He explained why they itemize this charge but in my opinion if they perform the work at the same time they quote this fee could be waived. Quoted $66 dollar for adding a second valve and then did not need/install but still paid for it? I estimate parts to total less than $40 so fairly high labor rate. Overall service was good but price seemed fairly high for a quick job of connecting a stove.

OUTSTANDING!! There is not enough room to write all we would like to say about Devon and Plumb Right. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing professionals that do high quality work, have a great attitude in explaining options, and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure to listen tot he customer. Here are the details. It was 6 PM the Sunday before Christmas and the pressure to all of our indoor water has mysteriously shut down. Lot's of cooking, house full of kids back and we were without water. We looked for a referral on Angie's List and liked what we saw about Plumb RIght, who we had never used. We called the number and interrupted Devon's dinner. He said he could schedule us for the next day, and I mentioned we really would like it looked at that night. Over the phone he offered some suggestions to avoid us having to pay for a trip. None of those seemed to be the cause, so Devon said he could be at our house in about 50 minutes (he was on the far side of the Twin Cities). Sure enough he arrived within 5 minutes of when he said he would. He said he would do a quick diagnosis after putting on the shoe covers (something not all folks do) he was able to diagnose the issue within 10 minutes. He gave us our options and estimate which seemed very reasonable (as was his special trip charge for a Sunday evening). He was so polite and professional that we asked him if he could take a look some other items. He pleasantly responded that he would be glad to do so. He spent about 3 hours here that evening fixing/replacing leaking hoses, faucets, garbage disposal and the original issue around the well. In each step of the way he explained options around each situation to make sure he met our needs. In addition to being extremely professional technically, Devon represented Plumb RIght in a very impressive manner. He was polite, engaging, respectful of our home, dealt with our issues with speed and urgency as if it were his own residence. I cannot compare the pricing with others, but based on his willingness to give us options and the corresponding price differences I felt that the work completed and the equipment installed was a much higher quality and worth every penny (when he replaced the hose to the dishwasher he also re-leveled the washer and readjusted the edge molding which was installed improperly when we had bought the new dishwasher some time ago by another provider.) While I don't wish for any more plumbing issues you can be guaranteed that if a problem does come up, we won't need to check Angie's list, we will simply call Plumb Right who we are confident will continue to meet our needs in an exceptional fashion.
