Plumb Right

The service we received was excellent. DJ was able to identify the problem and repair on a Sunday. He also determined that our main water cutoff was damaged and needed replacement by our city. He came in under the quote he gave me over the phone and I would definitely use them again

We had a leak down in where the city plumbing comes in. Plumb Right was just a few doors down fixing the same problem at the time this was happening. I ended up just walking over and asking them to come to our place after they were finished with that customer. It was more expensive than I was hoping, but they got the leak fixed. Apparently this is a common problem around where I live (Shoreview) because of the excessive amount of grain in our water supply, it is etching away at our plumbing. That's why a good water softener is important. It removes that grain so it doesn't wear out your plumbing so fast.

Sunday morning, we discovered that water was leaking under the kitchen floor and on to the basement ceiling. Looked in Angie's magazine and found Plumb Right -- and they would come on a Sunday. (There is an extra charge for Sundays, of course.) The repairman was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He found the leak in the dishwasher water supply line and fixed it While he was here, I asked him to look at the kitchen faucet which had been a problem for several months. I had purchased a part for the faucet, but had hesitated to install it. He installed the new part, but the problem still existed. So he looked harder and found the problem, fixed it, and left me a very happy customer. I would very definitely use them again.

They came out and the plumber did not fix the pipe properly and so it still continued to leak so I had to have them back again to do more. They eventually fixed it but I had to take another half day off work and everything. It was just frustrating because the guy that came out I was there the whole time and I told them I said I am not exactly sure where the leak is. I know there is a leak right there but make sure that once you install the new stop valve that you test it turn it on because I think there is a leak after the shutoff valve between there and outside of the house. When I went down there and was talking with him about him I asked him if he did that and he goes well I know how to feel a pipe good so I don't need to do that and I am late. What does that have to do with anything just turn it on. A couple of weeks later I went to turn on the water for the first time because put our hoses in and I water sprayed everywhere. It was just frustrating because I even told him to do that he did not do it. I know that other plumbers seem just as expensive. I think I would give him a second shot I try to be a free giving person. They were nice.

The service tech was more than professional. He wore boot covers to avoid tracking dirt into the house and was able to quickly diagnose the problem with the water heater. He was not able to quote me right away but had to call into the office to get a quote. He came back after about ten minutes and handed me a professional folder that had a quote for $2,600 to remove and replace the water heater (under warranty). I was shocked at this point as I was expecting $600-$1,000 to replace the water heater. I asked him to justify or describe why the quote was so high and he indicated that there was a lot of additional labor required to install this type of water heater. Needless to say, I had to shop around a bit. I don't use unlicensed plumbers so all of the quotes I'm about to give were from fully licensed and insured plumbers. The quotes were $2,600 (Plumb Right), $1,295, $1,100, $995, and $695. I obviously went with the lowest cost installer. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Our water heater went out on Memorial Day and, as expected, most places were not open or only available for emergencies. Plumb Right wasn't open, but the individual who answered the call was very pleasant and helped talk my husband through the process of draining the old water heater so it didn't leak for 24 hours. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day and the guy was there within the 2 hour time frame we were provided. They were very careful to cover their shoes and use a drop cloth. While I'm not particularly concerned about our old floors, I appreciate the consideration. If anyone is concerned about having a plumber who will avoid making a mess, I think this is the place to call. The installation was done in about 2 or 2 1/2 hours. I didn't get any other quotes so I have no idea how reasonable the pricing was for a 50 gallon water heater, but everything went smoothly and there was absolutely no pressure to purchase a particular unit.

Matthew. Appreciated his punctuality. Appreciated his knowledge in finding other problems so that I am not surprised in the future. He took the time to explain what he was doing and what I needed in language that I could understand (many thanx there!). He also went above and beyond in hauling the stove to the garage as I would have had difficulty in doing that. Polite, professional, knowledgeable, CLEAN, didn't leave me a mess to clean up.

A copper pipe developed a pin hole leak and was spraying everywhere. We attempted to fix with some fiber fix stuff from home depot, but it just slowed it down to a fast drip. Called this morning before 8 and Matthew was able to get here by 10. He was very courteous and informative. Told me how much it would cost and what he would have to do. He also pointed out some issues with the gas lines coming to the water heater not being up to code and found a possible leaky toilet. He quoted how much for those, but I decided to wait a bit since we'll have to replace the water heater anyway within the next year, and the toilet we'll attempt ourselves. But it was nice of him to explain it all to me! He did the job quickly and cleaned up great! All better. We'll definitely use them again in the future.

Everything went very smoothly. I was particularly pleased to receive a response to my late night phone call. Service was scheduled for the next day and our plumber called in advance and arrived promptly within the time frame.

Once the project was reviewed, D.J. communicated the work that needed to be done and the exact cost right up front. He explained that he would try to salvage the "stuck" piece, but that it was looking like he would need to drill it out, which he ended up doing. He then began installing the new faucet units with special care to keep the work area clean and organized. Once it was in, he tested each piece. All worked except the sprayer, which was stuck in the "open" position. After several tries, he offered to disconnect the water to that part so we could still use the faucet. He then offered to call Delta Corporation's customer service and report the defect. He was very professional with them and a new sprayer part was ordered. D.J. offered to show my husband how to put the sprayer in once it came and save on another plumbing bill. We were so glad to hear that he was willing to do this! D.J. also said that we could call him again if there was a problem with the Delta unit and he would be glad to make another call to them on our behalf. We were VERY satisfied with this work. D.J. went the extra mile for us when he made that call, plus he communicated with us every step of the way. He loved our dogs (they loved him too....good sign). Plumb Right followed up with a thank you card by mail a few days later. It's hard to find service like this anymore. We are so glad we chose this company.

Everything went well. I called the company because they were a member of Angie's List. The cold winter had damaged an outdoor facet, which was leaking a lot. The technician replaced the facet and repaired the leak. This wasn't a big deal, so I paid full price. This company charges about average........,,,,,,,not a bargain, but not overly expensive. The plumber recommrnended that I replace some pipes which were leaking, and I asked him to do the work. It was expensive, but I think it was necessary. The plumber, Matthew, was prompt and pleasant. I will use Plumb Right again, and would recommend this company.

We used Plumb Right for an earlier plumbing problem, with excellent results. On this occasion, we called Plumb Right when our sewer line backed up into our basement laundry room. This has been a recurring problem for many years, requiring annual sewer line cleaning. We've had more back-ups in the past 12 months, and called Plumb Right because they are so highly rated, and they offer video camera services. Devon arrived on time, was very polite and diligent about his work. He showed us that the largest blade he could use on our pipes was 4", instead of the usual 6". He showed us the cleaned pipes,, by using the video camera. It all looked good. He thoroughly cleaned up after the job, and assured us that we should be fine for the next year or possibly two. Slightly one month later, we had another back-up - the same symptoms in the same area. We were very disappointed in the response from Plumb Right at this second back-up within 40 days of their service. Their best offer was to come out again, clean out the main line again for the same charge. There was no warranty on the previous work, and no discount for a second call. I 'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend them or call them again.

Plumber was very prompt and professional, he explained all the work as he did it. He tidied up the area after he was finished. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. I am going to call Plumb Right in the near future to install shut offs in my bathroom.

I had noticed a leak in basement toilet and figured I need seal on toilet. I also needed an estimate for basement drain possible replacemen t. The plumber, D.J. called ahead of time (I have a canine that has to be kenneled), and he arrived at promised time.He donned booties out of concern for my carpeting and after giving me an estimate for the work I wanted to have done, he went right to work. He was very professional and courteous and answered all of my questions. He did not seem to mind me hanging over his shoulder and even allowed me to assist a little. He had a few problems with my toilet due to limited space in bathroom but managed to get the seal under the toilet done and after doing that, informed me that my leak was between the toilet and toilet tank. He did not charge me for the toilet seal and put a new seal between toilet and tank. He also replaced the flap in the toilet tank which had required me to hold handle down every time it was flushed. He then snaked out my basement drain due to the fact that the ball in the drain had fallen apart which required me and wife to have to be aware every time clothes were washed because water was able to back up in drain onto the basement floor. I also requested an estimate to replace drain in future due to this problem. D.J. spent approximately 2 hours here and made about 3 to 4 trips out to truck, each time donning the booties upon his return to the job. I plan to have the drain replaced (estimate good for 1 year) and I most certainly will use Plumb Right again and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends or relatives.

The workers are punctual, clean, and knowledgeable.

I bought a house built in 1940 about 8 months ago. The lower level toilet broke a while back and I wanted to fix it because it was original to the house. Separate toilet and tank that just looked cool. But they just don't make the parts anymore so I've been hesitant to call in a plumber to get the bad news that I had to replace it with a new, modern toilet. But I called today around 11:30 a.m. figuring I would set up an appointment sometime in the next week or two. I was very surprised when the guy said they wouldn't be able to get out here for an hour or two. It never occured to me they would get out the same day I called. Well, it wasn't even an hour or two. Their guy DJ called about 20 minutes later and asked if it was okay to come over early. Heck yeah it was. Once he got here, he confirmed that my old, classic toilet could probably be repaired, but it would require custom fabrication of the pipes, which I already knew. I really liked that old crapper, but not $2,500 worth of like, so I opted to get a new one installed. He had a nice Gerber right in his truck and it fit nicely into my 3/4 bath. He had a h*** of a time drilling holes into the cement floor to mount it (remember, this house was built in 1940 by the guys who would go on to kick the Nazis butts even if they didn't know they would have to at the time), but he was able to, as they say, Git 'er done. I gotta tell ya, my lowest level feels complete for the first time since my buddy Jay took a monster..., well, since he broke my toilet. Very professional, very friendly, very good service (I know that's a fragmented sentence, but so what???). I didn't do any comparison pricing, but I have replaced toilets before in other houses, and this was a decent price for the work done. I would recommend these guys for your plumbing needs. DJ was there very quickly and did a great job, although I could do without the 40 minute dissertation on his collection of porcelain Hummel First Kiss Series figurines. But I guess a guy has to have a hobby. Whatever it may be.

I called Plumb Right at 7am when I awoke to frozen water pipes! They answered the phone in person and, as always, extremely pleasant and focused on excellent customer service. Plumber was out to the house that morning and successfully got the water running again! Would highly recommend!!

He arrived when he said, no extra waiting. He checked the old water heater that needed a coupling and discovered the heater was leaking and determined we needed a new heater. We purchased one and he was back the next morning at 8:00 a.m. to install it. After installing it, in his checking, he said the co2 gases were not going up the exhaust vent so he would not turn it on until the vent pipe was fixed due to the danger. He does not do chimney sweep work but his office referred us to one who also came out right away and fixed the vent pipe cap and we now have hot water. If he hadn't taken the time to do the job correctly and check everything, we could have had a serious problem with co2 gases leaking. We are very impressed and will not call any other company for any future problems and/or projects. We very highly recommend PlumbRight.

The fixed a water heater for me....was complicated as they had to deal directly with the manufacturer and they were limited in what they could do. The man who came to my home was very polite and helpful. He was professional and I was satisfied with the end result

We first discovered our heat was not working and called to have Service Plus come and look at it ( a whole other story). In the meantime, we found a pinhole leak had formed in a pipe leading to our water softener and had sprayed onto the furnace, shorting out electrical circuits. We had worked with ( and loved) Plumb Right in the past and called to see if they could fix the leak. . Devin was actually able to fit us in between two other jobs and was able to quickly fix our leaking pipe hours before the furnace was fixed. While working, he also found another weak spot in the coupling and replaced that before it could cause a problem. At that time , we decided to replace our 20 year old water heater. We had been advised on a previous visit to consider doing it and procrastinated until this incident. Plumb Right was able to install it within a few days. D.J. , our technician was wonderful. He was friendly and very , very competent. He covered all of the carpeting and left our furnace room looking better than when he came. We probably could have found a cheaper option but we really appreciated and trusted Plumb Right to to a great job and provide follow-up if we have problems. Thank you, thank you!!

A part in the water regulator needed to be replaced to help with the water pressure in my shower. I was told by one company that the whole thing needed to be placed and would cost about $700. The man at Plumb Right went to two different places during a snow storm to get this part for me that needed to be replaced and only charged me $100! The man that came out to do this service was very nice.

Plumb Right definitely went the extra mile for us. They came out to provide a complimentary quote within just a couple days of calling and immediately I felt like our rep was very knowledgeable about our situation and friendly. He made me feel confident in his workmanship and I appreciated that he provided a quote for us right on the spot versus making us wait several days for a follow-up proposal. We quoted about 4 different plumbers due to the scale of our project and Plumb Right was right in line on price with the top contenders. We ultimately chose them because of their responsiveness, professionalism, workmanship, and ease of doing business with. They were able to do the work on our house in less than 6 hours and the space was nice and tidy when they left. A few days later we noticed that our water in one of our showers was still not getting an adequate supply of hot water and we couldn't quite figure it out. Plumb Right quickly came out that same day, assuming at first that it was a cartridge in our shower that needed to be replaced. They took care of replacing that at no cost (even though their work previously had nothing to do with the shower). When that didn't work, they helped us solve the problem that our shower head was producing 5 gal/minute in water and depleting our water heater too quickly. Once we replaced the shower head on our own, we are back to enjoying luxurious showers! Thanks for helping us solve that problem and for your work on the house. We couldn't be more pleased!

If money was not an issue, I would've purchased my new hot water heater through Plumb Right. From my initial phone call to the sales appointment, I could see why Plumb Right has many positive reviews. I didn't get voicemail when I called. A nice lady answered and when I agreed to schedule an appointment for a free in-person estimate, she mentioned she was driving and needed to park to take my information. Devin showed up a few hours later and was very professional and knowledgeable. He provided quotes on a deluxe and a premier model. Their labor warranty and complimentary maintenance plan exceeded all the other quotes I received. At the end of the day, I went with a different plumber because of better pricing. I live in a city with bad hard water. I will likely have to replace the hot water heater every 12-14 years. I did not feel that the extra warranty years and maintenance plan are worth higher prices. However, due to their focus on customer service, I plan to use Plumb Right in the future for other plumbing needs.

Plumb Right was WONDERFUL! They were prompt, very friendly and even came in under the estimate, which was great. We will definitely get them again for any plumbing needs. I would give them an A+.
