talked with Nicole at the front desk and she ran off and did some research for me. she was fantastic. went home performed my own investigation and discovered more information. called Nicole back and she got a tech to our home within a couple hours. Deven was exceptional, thorough, neat, knowledgeable - and was able to make the repair before noon. extremely pleased with the service, the professionalism and the disposition shown by Nicole and Deven. it is always expensive, and wish it was not quite as costly for professional work. but you get what you pay for and it saved me time and work.

Our bathtub faucet has been leaking for quite some time, we thought we would need to replace the whole set up so we bought a Moen from Home Depot then went about the process of finding someone to install. I came across Plumb Right on Angie's List, then looked them up on the BBB. Reviews were mostly all positive so I felt good about it. We had received quotes over the phone from other companies (who had longer wait time to fix the issue) for about $300 to install a new shower/bathtub faucet system. Plumb Right said they do not provide estimates or quotes and that the plumber would provide a quote following a $60 visit fee. Matthew arrived on time and was pleasant. When he gave me the quote however, I almost doubled over. The quote to replace the system was $825ish. We even have an access panel in the room shared with the bathroom to access the valve area. Matthew informed me that he would require more space and would need to cut holes in our drywall of the adjoining bedroom in order to replace the faucet system. He gave me an alternative of $400 to repair the leak. Both options seemed pretty exorbitant from a cost standpoint, but he was there, the leak was bad and we needed it to be fixed. So in the end, we went the route of repairing the leak rather than replacing the entire unit. So at the end of the day, we paid $200 an hour (this included a 30 minute drive to go get the cartridge from a store nearby) for the $30 cartridge in our shower handle to be replaced.... The experience wasn't bad, I just feel like their pricing is out of line. Just something to be aware of before booking with Plumb Right. Maybe their pricing is better for large jobs rather than a small handyman project.

I paid $330 and nothing was repaired. Think of the LifeLock TV spot, where during a bank robbery, the security guard says he's actually unable to do anything about the criminals because he's a 'security monitor' only there to identify a robbery, not to stop it. Plumb Right sent me a 'plumbing monitor.' Okay, he did use a handsaw to hack a hole in my ceiling for a stated price of $270. Talk about robbery. I've attached a photo. This took 1 minute. Apparently, Plumb Right bills out shoddy carpentry for $16,200 per hour. I'd hate to overstate this but honestly, he cut the hole and announced that price. It's right on the invoice. The plumber also quoted me $1000 to install a new fixture after I did the demo to (further) expose the plumbing. At $270 per minute, that's about 4 minutes, but then he'd only be connecting the water supply, so maybe. If the owners of PR want to justify ANY of this to me, I'd be happy to hear it.

I got my diagnosis but no remedy. The plumber, Matthew, identified the source of the problem as the cold water faucet on a Jacuzzi tub. This was useful. To do so, he carved a misshapen hole in my kitchen ceiling. 30 seconds later, he announced the cost as $270, JUST FOR THE HOLE. Matthew did not fix anything. He was unable to access the fixture to make repairs, instead telling me to do whatever demo was necessary to provide him the needed access. He quoted my cost as $1000 if he installed a new faucet I provided, or $1500 if Plumb Right provided the faucet. It was our impression he simply didn't want the work and jacked up the prices to such an obscene amount we wouldn't call him back. If so, he got his wish. I did appreciate the last minute Friday afternoon service call and I paid what Matthew asked. Honestly, after the usurious charge for the 30-second sheetrock hole, I will look elsewhere for plumbing services. Ultimately, Plumb Right should really reconsider their pricing model in that I see no value for the cost of their services. Let's look at what they did in 15 minutes here: $60 to walk in my front door, while common across the industry, is ridiculous, but let's just call it, metaphorically, a "misdemeanor." $270 to cut a hole in damaged sheetrock (not in "wood" as it says on the invoice) is a "felony," like breaking and entering. Had I been silly or desperate enough to pay $1000 to replace a faucet AFTER we've done all the work to expose the plumbing is, continuing my metaphor, like beating me about the head with a hammer and stealing my wallet, so, what, "robbery and assault?" I could go on, but the point is, Plumb Right is taking advantage of customers with these prices. That's fine, but before you call them, know that

They arrived at the house, interfaced with our renters and assessed the situation. We got a clear itemized bill and phone call before work proceeded--so that we could approve. They provided an easy way to pay, since we are out of state. Once they realized they would have to have the city shut off the water for the work, they also managed that process, and again planned it with our renters. From start to finish this was an A+ job and I would definitely use them again. Further, their work was so exceptional that my parents used them the next week for their home.
Description of Work: Had a leak in our former home (now rental property) and we live in another state. Ultimately it required some work done on the water meter on the outside of the house, as well as the water main water pipe where it entered the house.

We called Plumb Right after a drain cleaning service we hired could not clear our drain with the intention of hiring Plumb Right to fix the break. The Plumb Right technician arrived at 8 am the day after we called them. They were able to clear the drain because they were more knowledgeable and had better tools. The cost to clear the drain was higher than the first drain cleaning service, but we saved so much more by avoiding the unnecessary break up of our basement floor.

Barely passable work. I was told there would be a fee for coming out to give me an estimate but that I would get a comprehensive whole house plumbing inspection even though I specifically told them I needed a sump pump system for sure. The technician, Matthew showed up at the end of my appointment window, didn't do a whole home inspection, and said he wouldn't have time to do the install because he was running late - I guess my appointment wasn't as important as his next appointment. I specifically said I needed a sump pump system so I was extremely disapointed that they didn't alot time for it. Still had to pay the inspection fee though and take more time off work for another appointment. Also, they must not normally set up sump pump systems. When he eventually came out to install the system, he asked if he could take a shortcut and use an old dryer vent instead of drill a specific hole for a sump pump pipe to make his life easier. In hindsight, I should have said declined his request because it's a complete eye sore just coming out of a square opening. After he was "done," I was even told to go buy my own insulating foam and spray foam in the dryer vent around the sump system pipe so that I could prevent debris and animals from entering the vent that he opened up. If they had disclosed that I would have to finish the job, I would rather have found someone else to do the job and lose the "inspection" fee. He also didnt go over any sump pump maintenance or hazards or anything. Just installed it and asked if I saw it. Then for the ice maker line he installed, there was excess tubing everywhere. The previous tube ran along a floorbeam that is visible from the basement. When he installed a replacement he made sure to leave a nice drooping line along the beam that some mischievous kid could try to hang from. In addition to that, he just left the old water line in my sink. Other things he keft behind included some PVC pipe holders for the sump system. So all in all, very disatisfied. I asked multiple times for a description of the work performed (otherwise known as an invoice) and I never received anything from Matthew, just a receipt of my credit card being processed. Plumbright has been great in the past but Matthew ensured that I will never contact them again.
Description of Work: I needed a sump pump and associated routing pipes installed, and also an ice maker water line repaired/installed.

We had several plumbing tasks to take care of. After reviewing the work needed, Devon gave me an estimate which I approved and he and Will got right to work. They were very efficient and professional in all they did. They pointed out some VERY sub-standard work that had been done on the property beforehand and went ahead and repaired that old work without any additional cost !!! I would hire this company back in a heartbeat. I rated this 10 star company at 5 stars, only because Angie’s List won’t let me rate them any higher !!! Thank you Devon, Will and Plumb Right !

Everything went well. They provided with me an estimate, and I approved it, so they went ahead with the work - but I didn't realize, it was only going to take an hour and a half; I thought it was going to be a much bigger job considering they were charging $638 on this job; there was no short-changing and cheating on their behalf. They did tell me how much it would cost upfront, I just didn't realize it would take only 1 hour and a half. I thought it would be a much bigger job with the pricing in mind. The charge works out to be about $350/hour. **Before hiring this company I would suggest getting several estimates first.**

My wife called in the morning and was told that the plumber would be there between 3-5. She then got a call later saying the plumber would be there at 12. She called back to say that neither of us could make it for 12 so please leave it at 3-5 and was told that this was a mistake on their end and they didn't mean to call her. I left work early to make sure to be there when the plumber arrived and got home at 2:30. By 4 I got a little antsy and called to see if someone was still one their way. I was told that they would look into it and call me right back. Nothing. I didn't get a call at all. So by 5:30 (after 3 hours of sitting around and waiting) I called again. I was informed that the truck had broken down and they had left a message at 1 to tell me that. Why didn't anyone know that at 4? Why didn't anyone try to call again after the message at 1? I had sat there for 3 hrs waiting for nothing! I never got the message, that was supposedly left at 1, because, of course, the number that they had taken down was wrong. This could have been remedied when I called at 4 or 5:30 but wasn't. It took me asking if they had the right number the next morning to figure out that it was wrong. Bad customer service all around. Then I asked for the manager to call me and that never happened either. Once Matthew showed up on Saturday he was awesome (as always), but that didn't make up for the cluster that happened on Friday and there was no offer to make up for the disaster that had happened on Friday (except to come out on Saturday). Sorry but that won't do it. Bad job and I am pretty sure I will be calling someone else next time.

Sorry to hear that- you must have misunderstood. There is no charge to come back if it sounds like the same issue. Then once we get there if it is actually something unrelated to the work we previously did, or additional work we had recommended and you initially decided not to do, then obviously you would have additional charges for that new work. When I looked at your account I also noticed that you must have forgotten to send us payment for the November 31st call.

Very professional. Very knowledgable. Really nice people. Great job on the plumbing. April 2014 Sump pump issues I called them after hours. They came to my house right away. I was SO grateful that I was able to get such a quick response. It is stressful when you are having a flood in your basement. They fixed the problem and took all the stress away for a great price. DEC 2012: Bigger project I knew to call Plumb Right in 2014 because of my great experience with them a year and half earlier in 2012. I had a few plumbers give me estimates on a job that included re-plumbing an entire bathroom and installing lines behind the wall, re-setting the toilet, installing the pedestal sink, installing water lines and hardware for the sink and shower. The guys from the other companies that gave me the first estimates talked about ripping out the flooring and moving the toilet drain/line. They talked about moving the shower lines to another wall. They TOLD me what they were going to do and wanted me to sign contracts right away and I did not think they had a very professional approach. I felt uneasy so I did the right thing, followed my gut feeling and told them I wasn't ready to make a decision. I found PLUMB RIGHT on ANGIES LIST. They had a great rating. Plumb Right guys came to my house right away, looked at the project, talked to me about it on a level I could understand, they talked to me about the pros and cons of ripping up the floor etc. They told me they could do that if I wanted but that in their professional and experienced opinion, it would be unnecessary and expensive. I did sign on with Plumb Right. They did SUCH a great job from being prompt, clean and professional and leaving me with obviously top notch quality of work. They installed all the lines, sink, toilet, hardware. I paid MUCH less for Plumb Right and I have no doubt I got the best people for the job. Their number is in my phone.

I called Plumb RIght and they were very courteous, they were able to send somebody to take a look at my tenant's garbage disposal. I've installed garbage disposals in the past, they usually run around $100 bucks to buy at Menards but due to time I figured It'd be easier if a plumber did it. I've even purchased a disposal and hired a plumber at $150 - $170 an hour and had it installed in the past. I was expecting a quote of maybe in the 300 range TOPS, when I spoke to the customer service rep she didn't know what the price was. When they turned up, the plumber called and the quote they gave me was for $600 for the disposal installed, which is crazy since he said it'd be 45 minutes and it was a standard disposal. Mind you, they were very professional, on time, very friendly, but the price was ridiculous, they basically charged a huge amount for 45 minutes of work. I asked the plumber why was it so expensive and he said he didn't set the prices, he just reads them off his sheet and that he'd received this kind of feedback in the past. Well, no kidding. Since this was for my tenant and they took time off to be at home, I had to just pay the price so that the tenant wouldn't be annoyed but the price definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm probably not going to call them again. All other aspects of the service were fine.

We only install the best equipment, so although it was the standard unit, it was still a quality galvanized steel 1/2 HP unit with a 2 year warranty. We made arrangements to be available for your tenants after 4:00 p.m. and our records show that our plumber was there for longer than he had initially estimated. Of course we regret that you felt overcharged, but thank you for rating us high on all of the other criteria.

Bottom Line --- the pricing was very expensive and not transparent and the project took longer than expected. I called Plumb Right, who I had used previously for installing a garbage disposal and they had done a good job with the install and supported their warranty when I had a leak with the disposal. I spoke with Plumb Right about the issue I was having with the master bathroom shower having a slow leak when I turned the shower on. I arranged a time for them to come out and replace the shower faucet with the same style of Moen as the bathroom sinks. When the plumber arrived, I showed him the issue and he began evaluating the issue. He then told me that he didn't bring a valve that would be consistent with the Moen faucet he brought. He had to return to get a valve and that took almost another hour!? After the evaluation, he gave me the estimate that this project would cost over $1,000. I was baffled by this amount since it was a relatively simple "procedure". I can't begin to understand this amount for what was being done (I'm still in shock). The combination of the price and the fact that the valve was forgotten originally has baffled me beyond expectation. I hope the faucet works for a long time.

It went great! This company is top notch, and Devon (I hope I got that right, I'm terrible with names lately) was very professional and personable. After our estimate he was the only one I felt comfortable with hiring to complete the work. We just moved into the home this summer, and after explaining to Devon that we have had two major plumbing issues; he understood my desire to make sure everything is buttoned up and corrected before moving forward with the rest of the basement repair/remodel. Devon went through multiple options with me, and drew up a bid for each one. He was also the only plumber out of four separate quotes who honored my request to look around and find any imperfections or problem areas with the plumbing; therefore, he was also the only person to point out that our hot water heater had started leaking and was rusting through. I would highly recommend this company and Devon for any future plumbing needs. If Devon isn't already in a leadership role I'd urge you put him in one -- he is the kind of guy you want other employees to learn from.

During the installation of new kitchen appliances we found out the we needed an new dishwasher shut off valve because it wasnt working. Also the new refrigerator need a water line for the ice maker which the old one didnt have. They were able to get me on the schedule pretty quickly. The technician was on time, courteous and professional. He provided an estimate for the shut off valve, water line for the refrigerator as well as an moving an outside shutoff from an outside wall to the laundry room. There was a challenge for the water line and outside shut off due to my basement having wood planking installed on the ceiling. There was no easy way to access the areas needed to do the work without having to remove part of the ceiling. I was afraid that the water line and outside shut off were going to have to be done at a later date after I figured out how to remove the ceiling. While the technician was doing an inspection of the the home he determined that there was a way to run the water line through the floor and to the water heater in the laundry room. I was thrilled that he found a creative way to make this work and get water to the refrigerator without having to remove part of the planked ceiling in the basement. I was very happy with the service I received and appreciate the extra effort put in to come up with a solution to get the water line for the refrigerator installed. I will use Plumb Right again in the future.
