Description of Work: Nokomis roofing replaced our roof. We got three quotes but went with Nokomis Roofing because they actually told us we didn't need a new roof yet when we called them last year and also fixed the loose shingle while they were out, free of charge. They were very helpful when selecting a shingle color and were patient with me as a went through the selection process. During the installation they battled very high temperatures but worked late into the evening to ensure our roof was safe during the strong storms overnight. The roof looks amazing. The manager stopped by the evening they finished to make sure we were happy and that the crew cleaned up appropriately. We were very happy with Nokomis Roofing and would strongly recommend them.

Description of Work: We called to have ice dams removed. They arrived promptly, worked hard and finished the job as promised.

Description of Work: I called Nokomis Roofing in mid-September because we had significant ice dams last year that resulted in interior water penetration. It's been nagging at me all year that I should probably do something about inspecting structural damage or issues with the roof but since my ceiling dried out and I painted it I've kind of let it go. Anyway, I finally get around to calling Nokomis Roofing and JR talks to me about my experience and tells me not to worry. Whew! He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me talking about soffits, roof vents, age of roof and extent of damage and then gave me his secrets for do-it-yourself ice dam removal. I'm so relieved and I am SO impressed that he would take that approach with me rather than try to sell me an unnecessary service. I will DEFINITELY call him again for future construction projects knowing that I won't get screwed!

Description of Work: We had leak in roof. Nokomis was the only roof to call us back promptly. They came out and did repair right away. Because of the good service we will call on Nokomis when roof needs replacement.

Description of Work: After reading the reviews of several contractors I contacted this one. I had a 20 minute phone conversation with JR. He was very helpful and informative. He fully answered all of my questions. He understood my questioning whether I really needed this service done as I have had no water intrusion issues for 13 years. He did give me some other options to try instead of hiring him to remove the ice. That is pretty impressive when you realize he was giving suggestions that may result in him not getting the business of ice removal. I will contact him in the Spring/Summer to correct my insulation/venting issues so I will not have this serious of an issue again.

Description of Work: Very professional, but bid was considerably higher than who we hired (Taylor Roofing). However, I might consider going with this company in the future. We did not have a bad experience with the company we hired but they were not as professional and did not pay attention to detail as much as would have liked. If you are picky (we are) I suggest spending the extra money for a company that is certified by the shingle manufacturer and has many years of (customer) experience.
