All was fantastic. JR and crew were exceptionally professional, attentive and great to work with.

The process went great. He responded very quickly. I live in South Minneapolis, and no matter what I do, I have been unable to avoid ice dams. I have essentially set up Nokomis Roofing as a regular service provider. Every winter, I ask JR if he can provide service on a regular basis. We agree upon a per event price. I don't need to call JR. He has been doing roof-raking for many years and knows when to come out to my house. I trust his judgment. If my snow removal service has already been around, JR will even remove any snow that falls from the roof during roof raking. His accountant sends an invoice to me via email, and I pay via online banking. Easy peasy. Love it.

They returned my call promptly, came in with a reasonable estimate, found the damage and had it repaired before it rained again! Nice people - I'd use them again.

The crew came and replaced a section of our roof, and left. Cleaned everything up, no more leaks, we're happy.

Roof had been damaged in the huge June storms, but I didn't learn about the damage until after I returned home from vacation. They sent someone out immediately. Repair happened within 48 hours. Plus, got information about the general condition of the roof and when it would be likely that it needs replacing. Very punctual. Very professional.

We had Nokomis Roofing come over and give us an estimate. Nokomis was the best bid out of 3. We signed the contract on Thursday 8/01/2013. Nokomis came and re-did our roof on Saturday 8/10/2013 - 8/11/2013(Weekend). We had a crew of 4-5 come and do all the work. They worked 12 hours on Saturday and overt 12 hours on Sunday to get the job done. Through out the weekend LeAnn & her boss came to the house to see how things were going. The quautity of the work was out of this world. Our roof on the house and gargage looks wonderful. We would use Nokomis again in the future if needed and we will also let anyone who needs to have their roof done know about the work that Nokomis Roofing did for us and that they should give them a call. Nokomis is a wonderful company to work with.

They quoted an estimate of $850. I called another roofer who quoted an estimate of $215.

The initial quote went well, I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was. After the quote I sent in my down payment for the work there was a small lack of communication from Nokomis roofing, but, once he started working on the roof he was very good about communicating with me the reason for the leak and his fix for it. The work looks very good and seems very complete as he fixed several problems in the same area. I would absolutely use Nokomis roofing for future roofing needs.

Everything went well with the walk-through, but they haven't responded to our subsequent phone call asking about the estimate.

Over this past winter the deck roof built above our double garage had started to leak into the garage and as spring approached the water started to spread to other areas of the roof. We were very concerned that we would need to replace the entire roof and decking. I had contacted several roofing companies that specialized in flat roofs to evaluate the leak. I received three estimates, but Nokomis Roofing stood out as the best. JR was on time and even early to scheduled appointments and provided a wealth of information on our flat roof. Additionally he provided us with the most detailed estimate, providing several options, depending on what was found once boards located by the initial source of the leak were removed and the roof could be fully inspected. Luckily we did not have to replace the entire roof only a small patch was necessary to fix the leak saving us thousands of dollars! Nokomis Roofing was a pleasure to work with and when the time comes to replace the entire roof I will be calling JR. I would highly recommend Nokomis Roofing.

After the devastating storm in Minneapolis, I tried to find a roofing company to fix the damage to my roof from a tree that fell on it. I cantacted Nokomis Roofing Company and when they showed up, the guy was extremely rude. He said he wanted nothing to do with the repair and told me to find someone cheaper. As my insurance was covering the cost of the repair, I wanted it done right, not cheaply, but he was not even willing to offer suggestions on the options available to me. Not only did he discourage a potential customer, his attitute and professionalism was so poor that I felt obliged to write this review so others could be aware.

nokomis roofing was the lowest bidder out of three bids-did the job one week after awarded bid-one day to complete job-excellent work.

They responded quickly when I called. They were friendly and they use camera to take pictures on what’s going on. They were efficient and pleasant to work with.

We requested a quote to fix a leaking roof and they were very quick to respond. But it went down hill from there. When CJ arrived at the house to look at the roof, he seemed almost annoyed to be there. After all was said and done, he indicated that "this is not something that we do", and he did not give us a quote. Excuse me? You don't repair leaky roofs? He gave no explanation, but he did say that we could go to someone else and get it done. We would NEVER use or recommend Nokomis Roofing after being treated so rudely and unprofessionally. We are new members to Angie's List and this was the first contractor that we selected via Angie's List. We hope this isn't an indication of future experience with Angie's List.

We decided to wait through the winter with snow on the roof, and then lots of rain all this spring, just to be sure of no more leaks before fixing the bathroom ceiling. The leak was in fact fixed, as no sign of any water was seen. Even in the pouring rain. So that tells me JR was extremely thorough and knows about roofing problems. He was professional, knowledgeable, and closely supervised one of his employees on the premises during the repair. And the cost was reasonable. I was happy with the service and will call him again in the future with any roof problems.

Good. He was truthful.

We hired Nokomis after getting three bids. Nokomis had the best price by far. Plus, we felt most comfortable with NR. J.R. (owner) and LeeAnn are great to work with. They were so responsive, reliable, and friendly. The roof turned out great! J.R. came out a couple of times after the work was done to make sure that everything was perfect. There was one spot that J.R. felt was not perfect enough; so, he came out to make sure that it was up to his very high standards. He takes a lot of pride in his work. I would hire Nokomis Roofing again without hesitation!

JR came out for an estimate a few days after my call. Once I did decide to go with him (several weeks later) we scheduled the job within a week. The crew started work on time and worked quickly. They were done in a day, the work looks great, and we haven't had any leaks since.

Considering this was the winter and no one really wanted to climb on the roof and repair our problem, Nokomis was GREAT !!! I called Thursday morning and met up with them Thursday afternoon. The work was completed the following day with no issues. Price was discussed before I signed up for the repair. The quoted price was the finished price.

The service went very well. I first called him to get some advice but did not contract with him to get rid of ice dams. He was very personable. It was a small job but he treated as it was just like any other. He did good work, he called and checked if additions would be ok and actually was unable to get a hold of me and did a suggested improvement free of charge. I could not check on the work but he took digital pictures and emailed me the results. The reason why it took me a while to review on I wanted to test out the product and service. It withheld through the snow storm perfectly.

The exterior wall in our guest room showed signs of water damage. We have plaster walls and they were bubbling and cracking. I noticed a neighbor's tree branch had crawled up and under a few of our shingles in that general area. He came out and took a look. He told us it wasn't the roof or shingles, but instead pieces of our siding was loose and most likely causing the water damage. He told my husband several ways we could fix the problem ourselves. The honesty was refreshing.

We had a couple of companies bid for the project, Nokomis Roofing came in the middle and our sales rep LeeAnn was absolutely the best. She was very responsive to our questions and was the friendliest of everyone we had met with. Initially we only had the roof and gutters replaced, but since our insurance agency didn't want to cover our house with old soffits and fascia we decided to redo those also. Nokomis was able to fit us in right away. They cleaned up, were overall a fantastic group to work with. I highly recommend Nokomis!

Nokomis did a great job at matching the color of the shingles and also went above and beyond repairing an area of my roof that I had not known to be damaged.

What a great job they did!. Our building was leaking and the wood was rotting under the shingles. They did the necessary wood repairs and added skylights and roofed. In my opinion they went above and beyond. Excellent workmanship plus went out of their way to locate skylights. The skylights were a big deal because everyone else told us they didn't exist. Nokomias roofing took the time to find and order these skylights. On top of that they came back to replace facia that was not in the original contract and did not bill us any extra even though it required an extra trip to the lumber store, an extra trip here and they had to set up a saw to fix. I highly recommend this company! They take pride in their work.

JR, owner of Nokomis Roofing, came out to the house to review and schedule the cleaning of the gutters. He was extremely professional and congenial. He scheduled the job within a few days of providing the estimate. He contacted me when the gutter cleaning was complete. The clean-up was thorough! I am totally pleased with the entire process!
