Minnesota Regrout & Tile

Wonderful experience! Xenon is very responsive and professional. The crew cleaned up each day when they were finished working and did an amazing job. I would hire these folks again in a heartbeat!

My 1957 bathroom tile needed some help. Complete tub/shower re-grout and re-caluking was in order. Some tile around the faucet fixtures needed to be secured with plaster so that new faucet fixtures could be installed. After in home estimate, one day removal and prep, and one day re-grout and re-caulk was proposed. Work completed on time as promised and very pleased with the result of my restored tub/shower area.

Decided to hire a contractor because I can't handle the chipping issue when cutting large glass tiles (It turns out that the chipping doesn't matter because the grouting covers all). Zenon came once to evaluate the project and give an estimation of price. The price is ok based on other quotation from other contractors. However, they can do the project right away rather than waiting for weeks. The contractor from Zenon's team gives very good suggestion on how to lay-out the large glass tile on the kitchen wall, different from what we original thought, and the result turns out very nice. It is very nice the contractor like to spend more time on helping us decide how we want the job done with good tips on some details. The project took two days to finish. However, the grout between the tile and original counter back splash cracks after about one month. We contacted Zenon and he mentioned he will stop by but we haven't hear any update from him for another month. We've been waiting for them to fix the issue for more than 5 month. Never have them show for the follow up after one call asking for the original color of the grout them put on (at 12/01/2014).

They were very responsive. Came out but never called me back with an estimate but I'm still hoping he does, its been a little while in the week. I'm hoping I get some sort of call back fro him. I spent almost 10 days but I haven't received any response so I don't know what's going on.

I thought they were excellent. Not only did Zennon come out himself to give the estimate he also came with Alex just to make sure we were on the same page, the cleanup work and service were exceptional

Zenon and his crew answer all calls promptly, did the work when they said they would and at the price quoted. Best of all, the work is impeccable. No mistakes, good communication, timely installation, perfect job at a fair price. No mid job cost increases. Total cost I quoted above includes all materials.

Zenon who came to evaluate the job and provide an estimate was very timely in his response to my query on Angie's list. He was friendly and professional. Alex, who did the work, was always on time, did great work ....I was also amazed at how he cleaned up so thoroughly each day. While Alex does not have full command of the English language (he is Ukranian) we got along well and were able to communicate just fine. He was very responsive to my concerns and questions. I would definitely recommend them in the future and use them if needed.

Angel, the worker in charge of the project, lived up to his name. He was highly skilled and professional. He took his time (the project took four days) to make sure that everything was done to perfection. He kept mess to a minimum and cleaned up after himself. He was friendly and good at communicating. Zenon, the owner, was also very responsive to questions. He gave a clear indication of timeline. When he had to delay the start by a day, he let me know ahead of time. He came out to give an estimate, then came to check on the project on completion. I preferred his low key manner to the higher pressure salesmanship of some of the other bidders. All in all, I would recommend the company.

To be honest, they have a five-year guarantee or warranty on their service and we had some problems with discoloration of the caulking, and the owner came out like three weeks ago and said that he would sent somebody to repair it and I haven't heard a peep from him since. So, it would be a maximum of two weeks. I called them yesterday and have not heard from him. So, in terms of responding on the guarantee, I'm not so happy about that. Initially, we were happy with the initial look of it, but the fact that it had degraded and needed to be replaced, I'm not so happy about that. It looked really good when we first had it done, and I thought, "Wow this is great". But then, it didn't hold up. He did respond right away when I called them, but I haven't heard from them to get for me back here. They were there on the time that they said they come to do the initial install, but punctuality in terms of follow-up is not so good.

Zenon told me that the job was below his minimum but recommended one of his workers who could do on a Saturday. I appreciated his honesty and working with me even though I had a small job. Work was quick and well done.

Zenon was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. His tiler did an excellent job. Our shower looks brand new. The tile floors no longer move and crack when we walk on them. Before calling Zenon, we were concerned that we would have to remove all of the floor tile and Zenon assured us that he could repair it which he did. This saved a lot of money. He did the work promptly and exactly how and when he said he would. He provided us with a proposal by email. He answered all of our questions and calls promptly.

They did an AMAZING JOB. Zenon was friendly, prompt, and gave an accurate up-front estimate. The work was done on time, it looks wonderful, and he even provided a lock-box for me to leave a key since the work was going to be done when I wasn't there.

Zenon returned my call promptly and came out to look things over within a few days. He looked at our two showers, front entry tile floor and bathroom tile floors and explained how he would do the items we wanted done (repairing loose grout in front hall floor, re-grouting, cleaning and sealing bathrooms). He said he would call me after the weekend to give me a bid. I never heard a word back. No message left or quote mailed. He also told me he does not do email. I now have my doubts about what he said he could do to our front hall tile. The grout is cracking everywhere and one tile is cracked. He told me this could be repaired. However, the company I have now hired has told me that it would be a waste of money to try to repair it because the sub floor is bad. Many of the tiles are loose underneath and to put a "band aid" on it would just be a waste of money. I like the new company. They were definitely more fourth coming and truthful than Minnesota Regrout and Tile and I'm saving money by not fixing something that can't be fixed.

fabulous! prompt estimate from Zenon who was very knowledgeable and professional. contracted for impossible schedule after our original tiler suffered an accident and couldn't take our job.... arranged for very talented tiler to work in our antique, unlevel bathroom and he did an AMAZING job. Truly first rate, great experience. Highly recommend!

Nice person. But, his follow through was lacking. I called to follow up and he never calls back. My feeling is if you do not want the job, it's okay to say you do not want to do it. Then you would get a better rating. But no follow through means you do not care about your customer, so a bad rating on this.

Zenon seemed very nice and very knowledgeable. He told us he'd get back to us the following week, but we've never heard from him regarding a bid. If our job was too small for him to consider, it would have been nice for him to tell us that when he met with us.

We did not use the coupon I bought. I don't recall when we had the work done I refer to below. I was happy with the re-grout of my bathroom prior to buying the coupon, but it turns out I really didn't need to remove the old grout and redo it to prevent mold - there are cheaper easier solutions. Anyway, I am don't know if I would use this service again, regardless of provider. . The worker was here for a day and a half for $750 and the grout looked nice and he cleaned up very well. Whatever was done to seal it is not permanent, and the grout needs regular cleaning (not just wiping down the tile after every shower) or mold will appear. This may not be a failure of the company, it may just be what I learned about white grout in bathrooms and kitchens. I don't feel qualified to evaluate.

Zenon came to my house on a Saturday a few days after contacting him about a few issues I was having in a tiled shower and bathroom. He educated me on why the issues were happening and recommended solutions. He encouraged me to try to fix it myself since the primary solutions would not be difficult, telling me the exact products to use and steps to take. He even offered to call a supplier and order the proper color of a product for me to purchase. While these fixes won't fix the poor craftsmanship by the original shower installer (tile and curb slanting out rather than toward the drain...they did not install it), he didn't think the cost of ripping out the floor and curb was merited in my situation and recommended other solutions first. It was nice to have an honest person not try to push a sale. I will certainly call again for any tile issues in the future and would be happy to hire him if the price is right.

We have used them twice and i am getting a bid for the third job. They are outstanding.

The tile person was supposed to show up at 9:00 to meet one of us and explain what to do. He showed up almost 2 hours early, and we had to run home from work to meet him. When we explained the timing issue, he went back into his car, as if to wait until the correct time. His English was not at the level where communication was easy, and we convinced him to come back into the house and start working. We had an issue with the shower where we suspected some leaking and mold, and thought that they would look into this issue and repair and re-grout, but we just got a re-grout. We did not hear about any investigative work done, and if there was mold behind the tile, it's probably still there. The job took 2 days, and when we could use the shower again, it leaked into the floor below (ceiling was dropping). We explained what was happening and the owner stopped in to look into it. It seemed as though the lack of moisture during the repair/dry period, the seal around the drain had shrunk and water was getting around the drain. He fixed it for us at no charge. They did a great job at the re-grout. The communication could have been a little better.

We were very pleased with them and they did a good job. They were very accomodating to get something scheduled. They were very friendly to work with. They even came on a Saturday to perform the work.

Contractor was a little tardy 1 day. Otherwise, great work. Workers respected the integrity of the historic bathroom trying hard to salvage the irreplaceable tile. Cleaned up well. The owner came to the job site to meet me and review the work.
