Minnesota Regrout & Tile

I received a prompt visit after my initial contact and a week later I had a new custom shower door. The door is spectacular. It's frameless and very contemporary. It has clear glass with a special coating to prevent it from getting etching or water spots. Because it's clear, it makes the small bathroom appear larger and not so claustrophobic. The new door, coupled with clean, white grout, completely changes the look of my bathroom. If I were to do it over, I wouldn't spend money on having the floor acid washed. I can't tell much difference because I don't really think I needed it in the first place. It was MY suggestion, not the company owner. He did not suggest it or try to talk me into anything other than what I requested.

They were very professional, didn't mind the dogs and cleaned up after themselves.

Absolutely the best. The regrouting in the shower was beautiful, it looked like new when the work was done. They removed the shower door and reinstalled it, fixed a couple of cracked pieces of tile. An excellent job and much cheaper than what "The Grout Doctor" quoted to us about a year ago. He wanted to remove our shower doors and buy new ones. The tile work upstairs in the kitchen and liiving room was terrific as well. Zenon had some ideas as to what we might do and he obviously knew what he was doing. I haven't had a better experience from anyone on Angie's List!

Zenon was a pleasure to work with. He gave an estimate in advance, and his company worked wonders in my bathroom. Although his was the highest estimate I received, he provided the most detailed plan and was the most confidence-inspiring when I first met with him. He also coordinated work with another contractor, and his workers left everything cleaner than when they found it. My bathroom looks great. Highly recommended.

Overall it went pretty well for the project... Tiles were installed in both bathrooms. Start, do, finish, I had thought the project was complete. Also, I was asssured that if there were any problems it was "guaranteed" and would be taken care of. Unfortunately, items were not put back in place and "missing" later... So I phoned Zenon and he sent the same person to come back and "complete" the project (it didn't "work" out). So he showed up and left in a hurry, when I questioned him he proceeded to to tell me how to fix it? So much for redeeming yourself/mistake... Bottom line the project was not "completed" so much for the "guarantee", I guess it is only as good as the 'tradesman' who does or does not stand behind it. It really was a disapointing experience...parts of my bathroom not complete and so on...YMMV. I just wish it would have been handled on a more "professional" level when the 'oversights' had occurred...

We had to rip out what was a fairly new bathroom because the previous home owner did not seal the shower surround and when there was a back up in the line, the water came out underneath the tile and was bleeding throughout the basement. Zenon came out and gave us a quote for $6,750 to remodel this bathroom which included a new shower door. We picked out the tile from Kate-Lo and set the date. Zenon's crew took out the old shower and tile and when he went to pick up the new tile from Kate-Lo they didn't have enough. We had to wait for the tile to come back into stock. Zenon was able to get us a small discount due to the tile company's mess up. When the tile came in, the tile installation was done quickly and looks great. He had a plumber come in and install the toilet, the mirror and other bathroom hardware. Zenon came by several different times to talk with us about the situation and is responsive to our needs. He even added a baseboard for us on our stairs so they would look more finished. Great work, easy to work with and a good price.

The crew is very polite, gracious and punctual. The floor is tapered so water runs to the center. They will come back later and put down the new tile. We would recommend them to anyone.

I called the company and was able to easily schedule an appointment for an in-home estimate. Zenon was very professional and helpful. Although we ultimately decided upon another contractor, I believe Minnesota Regrout and Tile would also have been a good choice. We will definitely keep them in mind for future projects.

Great overall. We would hire them again in a minute.

I contacted Zenon early September and asked for an estimate for 150 sq. ft. of quarry tile repair. He gave me an estimate of $2750.00 and said it would take 3 days. The crew came in on the 12th and finished the job on the 14th. They cleaned up and removed all debris. The next day I had noticed about 10 original tiles were cracked (probably due to vibration from jack hammer) from demo on Friday. I called him and informed him of the situation. He came in the next day and replaced them. He also did a few extra loose and missing ones in the other room. The crew was friendly and professional. I highly recommend them and will use them in the near future.

I was disappointed because I was under the impression that the owner was going to do the work, and he sent a worker instead. However, the owner did finish the project on the third day.

Overall, it went well. Zenon came over to look things over, provide an estimate and took the time needed to explain our options, down to the selection of grout and how long it should cure to prevent bacterial growth. He also referred us to a good vendor that gave us a contractor's discount on the new shower door. The only problem we had was punctuality; the job started a day late and continued a day or two longer than we'd planned, which meant re-arranging our work schedules several times. This had been reported on Angie's List, so I had prepared for it as much as possible, but it still caused us some inconvenience. I must also add that Zenon did work to re-schedule things so we had to juggle a bit less. The whole job lasted a work week. I would, however, still hire this company again because we were so pleased with the end result.

Everything is working great. Zen, the owner, responded to my phone calls immediately. He was very kind and very considerate. Zen was so professional and knowledgeable about everything. The workers were prompt, as well. They have a five year warranty and I really liked that.

New Creations and Steve were a pleasure to work with. From the beginning and throughout the project, realistic expectations were established and then delivered on. New Creations built and maintained a high level of trust as we progressed through the remodel. At one point during the project, a minor scratch appeared on our existing wood floors. When we asked Steve, he was quick to determine the cause and took steps to remedy the situation. So often you hear nightmare stories about kitchen remodels the inconveniences, the unanticipated cost increases and the missed deadlines. New Creations was very flexible and very understanding of our needs throughout the project. There were no nightmares at our house! We would recommend New Creations to others based on their high quality and the high integrity of its employees.

Zenon gave us a competitive estimate for the work, just a bit higher than various other estimates. He seemed the most competent and promised the best results. His guys arrived mostly on time but took a lot longer than planned to complete the job. Part of the delay was the custom shower door didn't arrive on time, and so we didn't have the use of the master bath shower for nearly two weeks. The tile regrout in the bathroom turned out fine - the guy who did the work didn't speak english and brought his kids with him as his helpers and "translators." He did very nice work. The kitchen backsplash also took longer than planned and the installer, who also didn't speak english very well, resisted the few changes I asked him to make, such as replacing a tile or two that didn't look right and better removal of grout from the nooks and crannies of the slate tile. I think he just wanted to be done with the job. Overall I am satisfied with the quality of the work.

Alex was great. The preparation, installation and clean up took 3 days. Alex was prompt and very professional. His attention to detail included acid washing all the tiles, removing some water rust stains and adding grout. The tile installation was great with attention paid to proper spacing for the best look.

Zenon was great to work with from the first time I met him. He had amazing vision for what we could do in the limited space. I could tell right away that he 'wanted' to work on this project and it showed in his dedication and attention to detail. Zenon was very helpful with every aspect of the project. He helped me with unhooking my old stove & dishwasher to helping me install the new ones. All this from a tile company! He was greatest to work with and was very responsive with phone calls. It was so nice not to have to worry about plumbing issues as this was part of the package with Minnesota Regrout. Zenon has a work ethic and quality not easily found these days. Not only did I get a great bathroom and kitchen out of the deal, but I got a good friend too.

Zenon responded within a couple of days of my request for an estimate. He explained in detail what the job would entail. Work began within a day of the date set. Job was completed within estimated time frame. There were no downtimes. When a major complication occurred, Zenon was immediately on top of it and explained the options for going forward. He stayed in regular communication with me and checked the work frequently. Zenon is very conscientious in his approach to his work. He holds to a high standard of craftsmanship and strives to completely meet the customer's expectations.

Zenon was a delight to work with from the beginning. He returned our call right away and had an estimate the following day. He followed up on every question and detail we had concerns with. He always knew what was going on with our work site. His crew was neat and efficient. The tile looks beautiful. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely use this company again!!

Minnesota Regrout redesigned and retiled two bathrooms for us in 2006. The results were phenomenal! Both bathrooms ended up looking entirely different than they had and I was surprised at how wonderful the results were - it was beyond my expectations! Last week one of the showers developed a leak, so I called to have it repaired. Zenon came out the next day to look at the problem and Jerry came out the following day to reseal the shower at no charge! I have recommended Minnesota Regrout to several friends who have also used their company with equally wonderful results.

The project started in April and is still not completed (5 months later)! My main objective was to increase the size of my shower - which was accomplished. However, the workmanship was not 'perfect' and don't we all deserve 'perfect'? First off, the owner is very generous and has your best intentions in mind, however I would say that there is a lack of basic project management techniques that should be instilled in all projects as well as checks and balances along the way that weren't in place for my project. The plumber was a novice and it took him hours upon hours to complete his work. He ran into a problem while installing a sink and toilet but installed them anyway - only when I stepped in did he back off and un-install. The tile guys do not speak English - everything is translated from the owner and the owner is never on site unless specifically requested. Thus it was very hard communicating and relaying problems to the workers since I didn't know if they understood me!

Met all of our expectations, looks like new.

This is the reason, I belong to Angie's List. Could not have been more pleased with the work and the professional doing it. On time, worked the entire time was there, aside from a 10 minute break, cleaned up afterwards. Absolutely perfect job.

When he came out initially, he was nice but his price was high. When we were trying to figure out a time when we could be here when he was in the house, he then said he could do the work alone, which again we said we were not completely comfortable with then he said he did not need a babysitter, which seems unprofessional. So we are going with a different company.

It came out beautiful. They're easy to work with and have lots of ideas. They clean up and everything is just beautiful. I would call them again. Do not remember cost.
