Helpful staff.

The door was ordered and arrived well within the time frame they estimated. As promised, they called to schedule an installation. The installation was subcontracted out to Northern Extremes. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. It was a bit of a challenge to adjust the new door because of the age of the porch, but the installer was patient and did the best he could; the result is very good, I thought. He spent time to adjust the pneumatic door closer and showed me how to adjust it if I wanted to change it later. They cleaned up nicely, too. After the installation, Lowe's called me to ask how the installation went and if I had any problems or questions. Nice follow up by Lowe's!

Ordered carpet from out of state so would be installed before or right after moving into our new house. Major delays caused from sales staff (mostly Pete) and carpet wasn't installed for 2 wks after I wanted. Phone calls rarely returned. 20+ phone calls made to store over 5 week time. Talked with Mike, flooring manager and Steve, store management on different occasions. Would have cancelled order if was in town. Sales staff would receive a D. Installers were on time and worked hard. They did a good job but left a little mess. Would give the installers a B overall.

The experience on the whole was okay, but not without some problems. When they discovered the dented one, the options Lowes gave us were not acceptable. We felt we were really not given a choice as we had paid for a 12 year warranty, and that is what we wanted, not a dented water heater or a 9 year warranty. We had to ask to talk to the store manager and expressed our displeasure in order to get a satisfactory conclusion. The manager tried to come up with some different options, but finally had to agree to put in the dented one today (so we would have hot water), and come back later and install a new heater. While it would have been much nicer to not have to go through the install twice, Lowes did try to meet our needs and make us satisfied customers. The plumbers who came to install the new heater both times were pleasant and professional. The price we paid for the water heater was excellent, and overall, the customer service was satisfactory.
