We give them 5 stars out of 5 stars. The whole box rental program saved us a lot of money as they don't charge for them as long as they are returned within 30 days of them delivering your belongings to your new address. It was expensive but, I give them an "A" because moving is expensive. I don't think we could have done better with price and certainly not with experience. Not one bit of damage over the course of three trucks full being moved and delivered. All of our interactions with Local Motion staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Did a good job of wrapping things (we did give specific instructions on things we wanted them to be extra careful not damaging). We had a lot of heavy furniture. They did an amazing job of fitting everything in the truck. We hired 3 movers and one truck. Because of the size of our house, I think we probably should have done 4 men and 2 trucks. We would hire them again.

They did a fantastic job. Arrived on time, finished a bit early. The movers were friendly and polite. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

There were no problems. It went great and nothing got broken.

It was good. I have been really happy with them. They are nice guys and conscientious about what they are doing. They seem to work hard and have a good attitude. When you are paying by the hour that is important.

It was great. We had no issues at all. We were very pleased with what they did.

They did a great job. They took a lot of time and care in wrapping the furniture and making sure things didn't get banged up. They were flexible. We were building a house and the moving date changed several times. They didn't have a problem accommodating that.

The experience started poorly because the truck they brought wasn't big enough. This meant that the crew would have to take two trips. The movers told us that the moving consultant who set up our appointment, Bill Apple, is notorious for this. The amount of time the move would take was also underestimated. Therefore, another crew and truck were brought in, and we had to absorb the additional cost. The final cost for each hour of work was more than what we were quoted. The crew took a one hour lunch, but only deducted half an hour from the final bill. There was damage to our old house, and two pieces of furniture. A third party came to evaluate the damage to our furniture on 08/25/2010, and advised us that the furniture would need to be replaced. On 09/01/2010 we were told that a claim can take 6-8 weeks to process. It has now been 11 weeks, and the issue still hasn?t been resolved. Local Motion hasn?t been responsive to our needs, and it feels like they?ve just been putting us off.

I was very pleased with their service! They were fast and knew exactly what they were doing. They were also careful with our possessions, therefore nothing was damaged. From start to finish, they communicated well and were very professional. I was particularly pleased with them as I've had a bad experience with a mover before. Today couldn't have been more different. Everything was excellent!

The team arrived promptly and were friendly and professional from the first moment. They took great care with our things but also worked fast. They consistently moved carefully when carrying boxes or furniture but after a load was in place they'd literally run back to the truck for the next load. By far the best experience we've had with a moving company. Pricing was very competitive, especially including a free box promotion they were offering at the time.

Everything went wonderful. They were very quick, polite, and there isn't a stratch on any of my walls. It was really good service all around.

It went very well. They were very professional and they got the job done. There was no damage. I would highly recommend them.

The sales rep (Bill Apple) gave me an estimate by phone. He really underestimated how much stuff we had and how long it would take to move us. His original bid was based on 4 men, 2 trucks and less than 8 hours. After having two other companies bid in person, I called Bill back and told him that I thought he was far off. Another company told me it would take 6 men, 3 trucks and 13 hours. Bill assured me that they do "5000 moves a year" and always bid this way. He agreed to add a fifth person to the job. After that we ended up selling 28 pieces of furniture before moving (including a treadmill and home gym that would have needed to be taken apart and reassembled.) We also had a sleep number bed that the movers did not have to assemble because we were redoing the floors in that bedroom. It still took his crew of five men 8 hours to move our stuff. I can't imagine how long it would have been with all of the additional work! The moving team was professional, courteous, and fast. I felt like they did a great job that day. Since the move, I have noticed several dings in our walls and ceilings that I believe were made by the movers. I also found a piece of artwork with broken glass yesterday.

This is the second time I have hired LocalMotion and, if it is possible, this was even a BETTER experience. Tony and his team were courteous and efficient. They called 30 minutes before arriving to let me know they were on their way, arrived at the appointed time and got to work. Everything on the contract was explained to me. At the apartment, they were courteous to the residents. I appreciated that, even though some things had no value except to my mom, they treated everything with great care. They were amazing.

Very disappointed in this moving experience. The moving crew was to say the least careless. They didn't wrap and protect pictures consequently two were broken. They completely skipped a closet that was suppose to be packed, even though we went through the items in the closet in detail before the move. They dented my back door, walls were also marred and need to be repainted before my closing. And a dresser was badly chipped. The worst moving experience I've ever had. Not professional at all.

We couldn't have asked for a smoother day. They showed up on time, immediately began loading up the truck and were incredibly efficient. I would recommend them to anyone - I'll be hiring them the next time I move.

Excellent. The pick up was smooth and helpful, they re-delivery was a snap. They worked quickly and efficiently.

Saturday May 22 First move $1166 Four men as requested arrived on time. Did a fine job of packing and moving excepted they damaged grandfather clock pendulum. Sunday June 13 Second move $720 Arrived without packing materials or boxes. Unwilling to go and get the needed boxes and packing materials. As a result needed to just dump things into 4 huge moving crates, which they then charged me for. Several things were damaged. Friday June 24 Final move $737 Move scheduled to begin mid afternoon. They called at 8:30 to say they would arrive at 9AM. Only two men instead of needed four arrived. The other mover never arrived. The job took all day instead of the expected 4 hours. The office personnel did a terrible job as far as I am concerned. 1. The moved was paid for by insurance as so needed some paper work signed by Local Motion before the work was done. I was told by one of the employees that only the owner could sign these papers. It took several calls and a couple of weeks to get the paper work back. 2. The paperwork done by the office staff resulted in not enough movers or the correct equipment for both the second and third move. 3. I needed to return to Local Motion?s headquarters three times to get the refund for the boxes I was charged for that were returned by the movers on June 24. 4. The insurance company issued a check for the moving in both my name and Local Motions name. That check needed to be signed by Local Motion so that I could cash it. I had already paid Local Motion in full. Again only the owner or vice president could sign the check but they did not keep regular office hours, office personnel did not know when they would be in or for how long. The first time was kept waiting for over 45 minutes only to be finally told that no one that could sign the check was there. The receptionist told me to try between 10 and 2 the net day. I did and again either signer was in the office. At that point the bookkeeper told me that the only way to get the check signed was to leave it with her and she would call me when it was signed. The actual movers did an OK job especially considering two out of the three moves involved working with inadequate equipment and not enough personnel.

These guys worked hard and steady to move us in 90 degree weather and their great attitudes kept me and my husband smiling and laughing through the whole move, which made the job and the weather bearable. They are a fun, efficient, hard working team, and a pleasure to work with.

Very good experience. Despite the heat, the crew was an immense help and after a long cross country drive, I would likely never have gotten the contents located in the house anywhere as quickly, even with a few friends helping. No complaints at all with the crew, or their work.

The service was very good. I have never hired someone to move me before and it went very smoothly. I hadn't realized how easy it would be. All three gentlemen were careful with my daughter's things, and except for the three trees, everything went great. I would hire locomotion again. I'm glad they finished before the storm hit. I especially liked that they did not use a dolly to move things up and down stairs. I was concerned at first, but they hand carried the heavy things down the stairs. Thank you!

The 3 man crew was professional and helpful. They did a great job, but was a little on the pricy side.

After deciding we wanted to hire a moving company for our move we decided on Local Motion. I can honestly say that this was the least stressful move that I have ever been a part of. From the first conversation I had with our moving consultant I knew we had made the right decision. She was able to walk us through the whole process and made it easy to understand. One of the things that attracted us to Local Motion was the use of free boxes for 30 days. They initially supplied us with 75 boxes and I also made 2 more trips to their office to pick up more with no problems. Another benefit is that after the move we were forced to unpack so we can have the boxes back to them in the 30 days. We also had some last minute changes to our closing times and they were able to accomodate all of those changes without missing a beat. The day of the move 3 guys showed up and just started loading. I'm still not sure how they got everything loaded into the truck but they did. There was another delay in our closing of our new property that didn't allow us to be at our new house when the movers showed up. The sellers were moved out and they allowed us to start unpacking right away, the guys started unpacking and by the time we got there they were already making good progress. Other than one cheap lamp and a couple of small insignificant scuffs on our couch every thing was in the same condition as it was before the move. The only thing I can add is that all of our future moves will be with Local Motion.

They arrived on time, were friendly, and were very careful not to damage any of the beautiful wood on the doors or in the hallway of our new condo.

The team of three showed up on time, were friendly, careful, and very quick (the job that they estimated would take 4 hours only took 3.5). I was thoroughly pleased with their service and would highly reccomend them to others.
