Our 20-year-old water heater needed to be replaced before it died. I called up several plumbers to come out and give a quote, and had a pretty firm idea of what I wanted. Well, what I wanted wasn't practical for the space and the construction of our house (retrofitting high-efficiency HVAC into a 50-year-old house isn't easy). The estimator from LeVahn explained the difficulties and costs of what I wanted to do, and offered a better alternative. Scheduling was incredibly easy - they even came out right before Thanksgiving to do the install! Installation took about as long as they said, no longer, and I got a good explanation of how to work my new water heaters at the end. All in all, efficient, professional, and reasonably priced!

I have used them before and they are fine. I live about a mile away and they are convenient. They come pretty quickly after I have made the appointment. They provide good service and I will continue to use them.

This hardware store has a drive up lane at the front door. I parked, opened the back of my vehicle to get the mower out and a store clerk came out to help me unload it. We wheeled it into the store, I put down a deposit on the work, four days later they called and said it was done. I returned to the store, pulled up in that same lane, paid for the work, picked up the now clean lawn mower and they helped me load it into my vehicle again! The mower (which wouldn't start when I brought it in) once again does a good job of cutting the grass.

They were friendly and helpful when I made the appointment. Workman showed up on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. Because of the amount of gear under my sink I thought it would take a long time, but he was done in no time. He cleaned up well after himself. The new faucet is working the way it should. This is the second time I have used Levahn Brothers. I would highly recommend them and will most likely be using them again myself in the future.

They are close, convenient, and they could come when I needed them to come.

They were very professional. They have someone to answer your questions, when I wanted to do work myself they sold me everything I needed at a very fair price and good quality. They have also done plumbing work too. I called them when I moved into my new home and they gave me advice.

They charge hourly as opposed to by the job, which I prefer. I've been using them for at least 20 years so they are familiar with my home.

When we need a plumber, they are the ones we call because our past experience with them has been totally satisfactory. Their prices are probably very competitive, although they always seem very high to me, but they work very fast. I would rate them highly. I know that they did a bid on my son and his wife?s bathroom, and they came in appreciably lower than other providers. Their quality was absolutely good too. They are always timely and are extremely professional. They seem to carry their material with them. When they were doing work on our other house, my husband told them that we would call them back to fix the outside faucets - they offered to fix them right then because they had the material. I know of another job in our previous house which was probably about 4 years ago. He had to work with his head and shoulders under the sink for several hours in order to make the connections of the pipe rather than to have us cut a hole in the wall behind the sink. He was able to manipulate his body in that space and work.

They were good, but expensive. They are quick to come out and are professional. One guy they sent was a little obnoxious but not all of them.

The plumber appeared to do a fine job, however, after 3 years, the outdoor facet has sprung a leak. The leak is inside the house It's leaking bad enough that has gone through a floor and the ceiling beneath it. It is leaking right at the shut off valve so the only way to stop it is to turn off the water to my whole home. Today at 4:30 pm I called the "plumber" number and was connected to the person working the hardware counter. He said the warrenty on their work only lasted a year. As he visited with me on the phone he was also helping a customer. When I said I had a plumbing question he said he could help me. After going through my story he said he couldn't help me and nobody would be around until the following day. I told him I really needed to speak with someone because the only solution I had was to turn off the water to my whole house. He reiterated "Nobody will be here to help you until tomorrow." At the end of our conversation I told him that it was frusterating that I called the plumbing number and got the hardware store. He said "That's because the plumber who's here is on the plumbing line." This after he repeatedly told me that there was not a plumber there!

Jerry came pretty quickly (within an hour or so), was very personable, worked at a good pace, definitely knew what he was doing, had all the right tools, and did very good work. My issues are entirely around the cost. I take responsibility for not asking for cost details upfront, but I was surprised how much it cost when he wrote up the final bill (I didn't know any costs until then). First, there was a standard "destination" charge of $67.50. This would make more sense if they were across town, but I picked them because they're about a mile from my house, so this seemed excessive for me. Then the labor charge was $140/hour. Again, this seems very high to me, but others who shop around can verify. I'll have to shop around more next time. Hopefully the people who take the initial call can be upfront about the specific charges and rates so other folks don't get surprised.

I like going to this store because they have knowledge about everything. They are honest and straight forward. They will send you on the right path. If they don't have it they'll help you find it.

This is the third time I have used this company. In October 2007, LeVahn responded quickly to a call for help. Our sump pump quit during a time of torrential rains. They installed a 1/3 horse power pump $125.00, labor $67.50, trip charge $65.00 for a total of $257.50. In September 2008, LeVahn replaced a broken and leaking garbage disposal. Garbage disposal $109.50, labor $105 for 40 minutes, trip charge $67.50, tax $7.56 for a total of $289.56. This third visit in October 2008 was to replace a 13-year old water heater that had rusted out the bottom and began leaking. I spoke first to Loren about water heaters, their efficiency ratings and the time to recoup the extra cost in a higher efficiency heater. He was very patient, provided ratings and cost information, and offered his opinion. An appointment was made for the late the following morning. The next morning. Jerry, the installer, phoned to say he would arrive in about 20 minutes. Jerry was personable, completed the installation of the new water heater and cleaned up his work area. The total cost was $899 for a 50-gallon Rheem water heater with 40,000 BTU. I feel very comfortable with the LeVahn plumbers in my house. They perform their work expertly and on time. The only reservation I have is paying for the trip or destination charge in addition to the hourly labor. I understand the reason for this charge and that all services charge it, but....

They have been good, they are on time, they come when they say they will, they are efficient, they are a little pricey but I believe they are worth it. We have been using them for several projects and they are only making us pay them on certain points.

They told me that the wood had rotted. They also unclogged a faucet. My experience with them was very good. They were honest. Their pricing was excellent. They do show up late.

I called them and they could have came the same day but I opted to have them come another day, They did everything was done in a timely fashion, so I was very happy with them.

Dave is the gentleman that came out. He is very knowledgeable about older homes. He was very professional about everything, although we did go with a provider who had a lower bid.

Went extremely well. Showed up ontime and did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

I wasn't able to be home for the repair, but Chris called to let me know he was on his way. My boyfriend let him in and Chris completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I'm happy to have my faucet in action again.

They were very quick to return a phone call. We were very pleased. They were super efficient.

THIS STARTED OUT AS A SMALL LEAK WHICH WE WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE. OVER THE WEEKEND IT GOT WORSE. WE LEFT A MESSAGE WITH THE COMPANY ON SUNDAY. OUR CALL WAS RETURNED AT 7 AM MONDAY AND A PLUMBER ARRIVED AT 8 AM. HE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY. BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION AND CORROSION OF THE PIPE IT WAS A LABOR INTENSIVE JOB. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WORK DONE WAS PROFESSIONAL: HE HAD ALL THE TOOLS NEEDED AND CLEANED UP AS HE WENT. HE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO ME AND MADE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT INSTALLING A DOUBLE T CLEANING TRAP AND TWO OTHER CONNECTING PIPES. WE HAVE HAD THIS COMPANY DO WORK BEFORE AND HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED. HE WORKED STEADILY OVER 5 HOURS AND I BELIEVE THE PRICE WAS IN LINE WITH THE WORK DONE.

WE HAD AN OLDER STYLE ELBOW FAUCET THAT WAS BENDING AND LEAKING AND THEY ASSISTED US IN FINDING A REPLACEMENT THAT WOULD RELEIVE PRESSURE ON THE FAUCET.
