+ 0 moreI called on a Friday before a holiday weekend and really needed an immediate service call. I had diggers in my yard who found an old, unused gas line that needed to be capped and removed. LeVahn Brothers were very nice on the phone and told me they would have a guy out within an hour or so, which was perfect, and that there would be no extra fee for the fast service, just their regular rate, which was very reasonable. Jerry showed up right on time. He quickly handled the problem with great service, even pointing out problems I might want to keep an eye on. Very nice and very professional. He relit the pilot on my gas water heater and made sure everything was working properly. LeVahn Bros. really saved the day and I will be using them again.

+ 0 moreThe plumber arrived quickly after we called. He was very friendly and did a good job for us. I did think the labor charge was quite excessive .... $155 for the first HALF HOUR ..... and $85 for each HALF HOUR thereafter. So for one hour of service it cost us $240. That's a pretty steep hourly charge, in my opinion.
Description of Work: Replacement of shut-off valve to water heater. Work was done professionally and properly (as far as we could tell). Only negative was the price. $155 for the first half hour. We needed plumbing services not long after this and we used RBM Ventures, Inc. The charge was $75 per HOUR .... period! That's a much better value in my book!

+ 0 moreI discovered I had a leaking water heater one evening. After getting a recommendation from a co-worker & checking on Angie's list I called LeVahn. They were able to get someone to my house the next day to replace the water heater. The plumber arrived on time and was very courteous. As he proceeded with the work, he clearly explained when tasks were going to be extra charges and was very conscious not to do more than necessary. Happy with the service and would use LeVahn again.

+ -1 moreService was excellent. They went above and beyond to make sure things were done correctly and that the problem was fixed. I wasn't sure what to expect from a price standpoint so I was a little surprised but in the end I think it was fair.
Description of Work: We had a tub that wouldn't drain and it was linked to another problem that I suspected but didn't know how to fix.

+ -1 moreWas on time and gave prompt service (same day I called) as I was out of stove and needed a new one connected. I did not have the plumbing tools to do the job and felt since it is gas and to be on the safe side I would have a plumber do the work. I found out my previous installation was not up to code and Jerry the plumber ensured I was up to code. Things I didnt know about such as the anti tip part and a gas shutoff near the range connection. He also ensured my oven was level and took alot of time to see that it was. Very satisfied with the job. Will use this company in the future.

Description of Work: We shop there on a regular basis. Amazing service. Small town feel in big city, and they know all of their products! We also use their plumbing service for our home and our rental. Our rental had a pipe leak when we were on vacation 600 miles away. Made one phone call and they took care of it right away that day. They are family owned and very personable!

+ -1 moreI sent in my snowblower because it was leaking gas. They returned it a few days later after tune up. The next time I used it, it ran very poorly. Sent it back. They repaired it again. After they returned it the second time, it was still leaking gas, the reason I sent it in the first place. They looked at it again and brought it back. When the people delivering it were unloading it, they saw that it was STILL leaking gas. After the fourth time, it appears to have been repaired. They did not charge me for pick up and delivery after the first time and were very nice about bringing it in, but I felt that having to have it brought in 4 times is excessive.

Description of Work: We had a small leak in a pipe in the basement. My husband attempted to fix it, but could not. Called Levahn @ approximately 6pm as they advertise hours until 8pm. I did not request immediate, emergency service, so they scheduled an appt. for the next day at noon. The man called about 30 minutes prior to the appt and said he was running a little late, but he arrived earlier than he thought he would. He completed the repair very well and within a 30 minute time period, which saved a second , 30 minute charge. He cut out part of a pipe and welded a repair.

+ -1 moreThey were able to come out the same day I called and got the job done on that same day. They returned at no charge the next day to re-tighten one fitting that was seeping a small amount of water. Everything is good now and much better designed than the original set-up!

Description of Work: The valve was replaced where the outside water was turned off and on. It had been leaking before! He rerouted the water that went into our water heater. This by passed the water heater that was no longer working and just went to the other one that was working. And one of the drainage pipes was leaking, and that was fixed. He was very courteous, and efficient.

I was told that it would cost $155 for the first half hour and that the work could likely be done in that time frame. They were able to provide same day service and their plumber, Dave, arrived within a few hours. Dave was very pleasant and personable. He described what he was going to do and noted potential problems that he might encounter. The work went very well, no unexpected problems and he was done within a half hour. I would definitely recommend Le Vahn Bros Plumbing to others! A very good experience.

+ -1 moreIt went very well considering the aternative. The repair cost me a little more than I was expecting. But again i have a unique sink. Would hope that most people don't run into what i have. Lavahn performed an excellant job andI would recommend them to nyone.
Description of Work: I first called LaVahn Plumbing in May 2012. I have a one of a kind sink that is unique and old. I had a clogged drain that I tried to snake myself and in the process disturbed the gasket connecting the sink to the drain. Could not stop the leak as the gasket was brittle/old and needed to be replaced. Dave came out and had to special order a new drain plug and pipe as the size was not standard and the gasket was fused to the sink. He got it fixed and done before a large party that I had coming up. Fixing the drain caused something to move within the sink, water was leaking heavily inside the sink and going down the newly fixed drain. My water bill was horrendous. Dave came out again in August and found that because all parts were inside the sink, it had to be taken back to the shop. Dave knew I was frantic as I could not afford to redo my bathroom and this sink was special. He even seat belted the sink in the passenger seat next to him there and back. The sink was fixed with new parts inside, re-installed, and works better than before. LaVahn Plumbing did an excellent job. I am not easiest person to deal with when I am stressed but Dave and Loren were very kind and patient with me. Highly recommend them again to anyone who needs plumbing work as they are thorough. Before they requested my approval, they made sure I understood the process before any work was done. The price was a little high but my sink is unique and the alternative would have been more time consuming and costly. I appreciate the work they have done. Thank you LaVahn Plumbing and to Dave, Loren, and those at the shop who worked on my one of a kind sink!

I had a stopped bathroom tub and was expecting guests the next day. LeVahn cam quickly, and they were excellent at fixing the problem

+ -1 moreOverall, the experience was great. They’ve always been incredibly punctual and if something came up they let you know. They were referred to us by my parents, and their work is really good. They install the good stuff, and even if it’s down in the basement to where it’s not visible, it’s still top-notch and looks great. They don’t take any shortcuts. They’re not a discount plumber, but I really get what I pay for. We’ve never had any problems with anything that they’ve done!
Description of Work: They put new faucets in our bathroom sinks and installed an in-sink water filter in our kitchen sink.

+ 0 moreWe had not had our lawn mower serviced in a few years. We took it in Tuesday evening after work, and it was ready mid-day on Wednesday. We had to leave a twenty dollar deposit, and then the balance was due at pick-up. They gave it a tune-up and sharpened the blades. We have used the mower twice and it works great!
