Holt Lock & Key

Tim came out as I had two deadbolt locks that were sticking and I couldn't find the keys to any of the doors in the house. He was able to fix the deadbolt locks without having to replace -- plus made it so that the front door, garage door, and door from garage to house all used the same key. He was on time, professional, friendly and helpful. I would absolutely use him again in a heartbeat.

He was great. He was wonderful, I love him a 100%. I wish they were cheaper but I know that locksmith are expensive and his work is worth the money.

rekeyed several locks. work went quickly and well. He was about 15 minutes late, but did call and gave me a few extra keys for no cost.

We are very happy with the work that was done as the old door wasn't a standard size and the handiwork to adjust the frame was done very well! We plan to call them back to replace another door soon.

Even though it was more expensive, it was worth it. He did a good job. I would use them again.

Tim is amazing! A few mornings ago, when it was -23, my garage door wouldn't open. In trying to replace the battery to the really old and crappy garage door opener, I broke the wires connecting the battery to the keypad. Unfortunately, The only remote for the opener was inside the car inside the garage, and the garage door is the only entrance into the garage other than a small window, which was painted shut. At this point, I realized that when we recently bought our house, we never took ownership of the key to the override lock or the key switch. Tim came out promptly when I got home from work and picked the override lock, only to find out that it was never connected to the override at all. (Classy, I know.) He then picked the lock to the key switch, but as it turns out, this was never connected either. (Extra classy.) Undaunted, Tim promised to come back the next day and figure out a way in. He ended up removing the small window from the wall (without breaking it), opening the door from the inside, installing a new key switch, and replacing the window. I was astounded that Tim would go to the lengths that he did to help me get into my garage. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Holt Lock and Key came promptly, made a new key, explained to me why it was so costly. (They have to pay to get the key code.)

Tim is awesome. He does great work and is friendly. He fit me into his busy schedule when there was some unexpected additional work to shim the storm door out a bit. I've had a lot of work done on my house the past few years, and this was by far the most painless experience out of all of them. He swapped out the deadbolt on our side door and cut into our front door to create a new deadbolt. He also swapped out our handles with matching non-locking handles since we now had keyless deadbolts on the front and side doors. I love our new keyless entry deadbolts. No more keys to worry about, and it's easy to give someone temporary access to your house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holt Lock and Key for this kind of project

Somebody had tried unsuccessfully to break in to my garage service door and the dead bolt was stuck. I called Holt Lock and Key based on the Angie's List rating. He was able to come out in a week (I told him it was not emergency). I asked him to fix the dead bolt and recommend anything else to help keep the door safe from break-ins, like a steel plate. He arrived on time and recommended that he install a steel cup for the new deadbolt, with extra long screws that went farther into a stud, so I agreed. He said adding the steel plate could be a do-it-yourself addition, but that he didn't necessarily recommend it because it's still just screwed into the wood and sorry to say but a pro was going to get in anyway. The job was done quickly and efficiently and I am still able to use the same key.

He does great work, absolutely no complaints. I really like how he patiently explains the merits of different options and makes me feel comfortable while I process that info and make a decision. He really knows his business!

I had Holt install a deadbolt lock on my front door. They showed up early and installed the lock faster than I expected. It looks great and best of all, my house is safer! I would definitely recommend Holt for your locksmith needs!

Tim was very professional and did a quick and thorough job. I was most impressed by his desire to give me good advice in lieu of a quick buck. I appreciated the advice. He was friendly and did a great job. I rated Tim a "B" for punctuality, but would like to note that he called to let me know he was running behind. I would definitely use him again (and will soon if I can't get the Kiwkset SmartKey on one door to work on my own).

Fantastic experience! He ran a little late, but called to tell me that was going to be the case which was fine. Provided a security review on all entry points to the home. He obviously has a lot of experience and we appreciated his expertise. Was efficient with the installation and cleaned everything very well. We would definitely use them again and recommend them highly!

he was very helpful, he pointed out various security concerns around the house, and explained a lot about locks and doors. he couldn't have been nicer or more friendly. I had him back at a rental the next day, and it turned out that my lock just needed to be oiled up. so he did that on both deadbolts, installed a handle on the front door (no lock on that one), and made me some new keys. he only charged me $85 total for that place. I can't recommend him enough!

I had called several handyman trying to find someone to fix the broken front door frame sooner than later. Tim was the first one who answered right away. Some handymen waited two days before calling me back. Tim cut out the broken part of the door frame, replaced it with a newly painted piece of hardwood he cut to size. He fitted new holes for the dead bolt and door knob lock. The new door frame was stronger than the old. He cleaned up nicely afterwards. He was very friendly throughout.

Great communication, Tim called when he was on his way and was quick and efficient in re-keying the three locks. Charged 95.00 for the three locks and two keys. Also provided general home security advice in regards to locks and securing the property. Would highly recommend.
