Great! Based upon reports of his work, I called him in the morning and he was able to do the work for me that afternoon. He provided an estimated time of arrival at our first contact, then updated me when he was going to be delayed. He provided an evaluation of my current equipment, noting that the locks still had a few good years of life remaining. As a new homeowner, I appreciated knowing that I would not have to replace all locks at this point in time. He was a delight to chat with. The dogs thought he was great!

I was able to get an appointment for just a few days after I called. Tim called to tell me he would arrive a bit late due to traffic. Once he arrived, he quickly re-keyed the locks, and then was willing to modify one existing lock to better "fit" the new lock I had purchased. I am very happy with the work he did.

Tim rekeyed 5 door locks on our home, after my husband's briefcase was stolen with our house keys in it(and papers containing our address). He also, looked at some garage lock work I wanted done later and gave me an estimate. He was very quick and friendly, and he even did a little extra work for free on realigning my locks, after a handyman service left it sloppily aligned. I would recommend this guy anytime. Last time I needed a locksmith, I wish I would have known about this guy. I felt very safe and comfortable having him in my home, and after becoming a victim of theft, that made a world of difference to my family! Not that I'd like to experience this ever again, but if it happened, I know who I'd call!

I called Holt on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to come to our house the next day. The service was excellent - all of the work was completed within an hour. If I have any further locksmith-related needs, I will certainly use Holt again.

Very professional and very efficient, not to mention I thought the price was excellent for the work performed. We closed on a new home and needed to have the locks re-keyed. I selected Tim's company based on Angie's list feedback, and was not disappointed. Tim called to let me know when he would be arriving. When he arrived, he explained our options and gave us our recommendations without giving us a hard sell. He performed his work very conscientiously, making sure all mechanisms were working perfectly, like he would if they were on his own home. There were several tasks mentioned above that were not part of the job I had described, bt he refused to leave them as is because of the security risk; he also gave me pointers on a few additional things to avoid to increase our security. He was very personable and a pleasure to chat with. I will use him again without hesitation whenever I need any locksmith services, and highly recommend him.

Tim came to fix my lock within 2 hours of me calling him. He came back the next week to install a dead bolt. He was very personable, friendly, and professional. I would not hesitate to use him again and to recommend him to friends and family. You can tell he loves what he's doing, too, which is really great.

Tim arrived right on time and was open, friendly and engaging. After confirming the work I wanted done and getting a tour of the various entrances, we chatted for a while until another workman showed up for a different job. At that point, Tim went straight to work. I had scheduled time with 2 garage building companies, two central air installers, and a general contractor throughout that afternoon. Tim quickly realized that it was going to be a very busy day for me and did his best to avoid adding to the chaos. He worked steadily and without supervision for 2.5 hours, stopping only to tell me he thought the ancient front door lock/latch mechanism needed to be disassembled and cleaned rather than replaced. Throughout the day he was cheerful, never in the way, and industrious. He keyed 7 locks on 5 doors, made each lock's action as smooth as silk, completely "tuned up" the front door mechanism, and gave me 10 identical keys. In a word: OUTSTANDING.

I called on a Saturday about having my lock repaired. Tim came that same afternoon (without an extra weekend charge) since the broken lock was a fire hazard -- something I hadn't even considered. He doesn't usually work weekend afternoons, but he came anyway. He called when he was ready to come over, and he arrived on time. He fixed the lock in no time and even fixed the door knob and adjusted the door itself. He also took extra time to advise me on securing the door to my garage. Very responsive and professional service.

I contacted Holt through email, and Leah wrote back within 15 minutes. She gave me Tim's number and, when I called him, he set up an appointment immediately. Tim was great. Although he arrived late on the scheduled day, he called to say he was running late. He didn't have all of the parts with him that day, but came back the following business day to fix everything. He talked us through our decisions about which deadbolts to use. He even helped us remove a mirror from the wall - something that was unrelated to the reason he was there, but he happened to have a suction and volunteered to help us out. The only reason he's not getting an A is because of the price.

Tim was prompt and quickly addressed the issue with the lock. He was well-educated on the best (most expensive and time consuming) way to fix the problem, while also offering me lower-cost solutions. I really appreciated that! Additionally, Tim readjusted a front hall closet door that would not latch simply because he said he just couldn't leave without making it work (this was not part of the initial call, and he did not charge for it). It was great that he went above and beyond, and he truly took pride in what he did.

It was a tough day at work, I had to terminate an employee and our cleaning service. I chose Holt Lock and Key because of the positive Angie's list reports. Tim was quick to respond and showed genuine concern for my situation. Tim showed up when promised and did a terrific job. He re-keyed the lock and issued 14 keys to match. In addition, he offered suggestions on security measures that could be implemented quickly and economically. Tim was very pleasant and professional. I will be calling him for work at my home and additional work at our business. Highly recommended!

Tim showed up very quickly and was extremely friendly and professional. All he needed to do was extract the broken key. He went out of his way to cut a new key and to fix the other broken locks. In addition, when he saw the North Dakota plates on the car, he gave a "fellow North Dakotan" discount. Overall an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend his services!

I locked my keys in my car with the engine running on a Sunday afternoon. Holt was the second company I called, the first being unable to help quickly. The operator connected me with the locksmith. He quoted me $55, and said he'd arrive in about 20 minutes. 30 minutes later, he arrived and within two minutes I was in my car. He offered me a cash discount, and after a quick negotiation, I paid him $40 and was on my way.

Tim was on time, friendly, and professional. He didn't try to sell me a new lock instead of just re-keying and fixing the current lock, which saved me money. The lock works just like new.

Tim was great. He was friendly and nice on the phone, offered to come out that very same day to do the job, arrived when he said he would, and did the work very professionally and efficiently. On top of all that, he is a really nice guy.
