Wonderful experience with great customer service and quality work. He scheduled me quickly and arrived on time. Clearly very knowledgable, was able to remove the old broken lock in minutes. Very friendly and efficient. Will definitely call again if need a locksmith again.

I was hours from closing on my home sale and broke a lock and needed a locksmith ASAP. Found Holt on Ange's List and called. They were unavailable to provide the service that quickly but provided me a name and number of a person who was. Deeply indebted to their referral as I able to get it fixed before closing. You cannot do any better than to have Tim attend to all of your lock and key issues. My wife and I recommend him without reservation. Tim is old school. He knows his craft inside and out, as well as its history. While doing the work we requested, he gave us a wealth of information about what one needs to protect one's home. He answered our request for service immediately, and he arrived on time. Best of all, Tim is a consummate professional with all the people skills you could want. One last comment: when I asked Tim whether we should replace an old front door lock, he told me the history of the lock and its superb craftsmanship, urging us to "keep what works." He was fast and we felt very honest. He said he could just repair the old lock but we chose to get a new better one. Very pleasant man; we enjoyed having him over to our home.

Tim was punctual, efficient, friendly and professional. He could easily have sold me a brand new lock for one door, but told me that an adjustment to the old one was all that was needed, and now it works perfectly. I highly recommend him.

All contacts with Tim were cordial and professional. He knew exactly what would be needed to return the locking mechanism to working order, acquired the parts on special order and called to set a time to do the installation. I called Holt Lock & Key for door repair after a break-in that damaged our back door. Despite weekend hours, he prompty came out for estimate and to schedule work. He was very helpful and reassuring. Kuddos to Tim, he even offered a solution to fixing the door rather than complete replacement, which would have been a lot more cost. He also installed 2 new deadbolts on doors, and was so friendly with our little boy.

I called Holt Lock & Key after moving into a new house and wanting the locks re-keyed and a couple of locks evaluated and/or added. Tim responded promptly and was very knowledgeable and personable. He worked hard to make sure things were done correctly - leaving doors more secure than they were originally and still aesthetically pleasing with the addition of deadbolts. After Tim was finished, I had gone from 5 keys for the house and garage to just one!

Tim was prompt in responding to my request for a price estimate and after getting input from other contractors I decided that the quote he gave me was reasonable. He gave me several options and explained the work he could and wouldn't do (i.e. clear with me). I got back to him in a few weeks to request the work to be done. He showed up promptly at the agreed upon time (8 AM on a Friday), and finished by 10:15 AM. He did both of the items above, and even installed a lock stop (not sure the technical term) for the storm door because I didn't have the original. Thanks, Tim!

Had an awesome experience with Tim. I had called several locksmiths for a same day appointment with no luck. Tim called back and said he could squeeze me in. Although the first timing did not work out, I appreciated the prompt phone calls to keep me informed. Tim then called back promptly the next day and was able to fit me in.
