They were prompt. I thought the price was a bit on the high side, but I would still use them again since they were quick and did a good job.

Tim was fabulous to work with doing an excellent job of working with our budget. We had a last minute need for scheduling flexibility which he was also able to make changes to accomodate. He followed up after the completion of the job to ensure that everything was exactly as it should be. We will definately continue using him for all of our locking needs!

He did a fine job and fairly quickly. We had an initial scheduling confusion, but rescheduled and came when promised. keyed all doors to the same key too. Was also a very nice man.

I scheduled Tim to come to replace a lock in my old front door that I thought the key did not work for anymore. I made the appointment for 1:00 and he told me he might be a few minutes late. He showed up at 3:10 or so. It turned out that the lock mechanism was just cockeyed, but our key did work, so he just lubed it up and it's fine. Midway through the appointment, he said, "We did say 3:00, right?". I said, "No, it was supposed to be 1:00..." Tim felt very bad and explained how he mixed up the times and just said we're even.I will use Tim again because he was on time for when he thought he was supposed to be here, he didn't do work that wasn't needed, and made up for being late by doing the lube job for free.

Tim arrived on time, and performed all the work in a direct and successful manner.

I've used a bunch of locksmiths and they're my preferred company. I locked myself out of myself and they were there for me. I like that they came out at the last minute and that they are reliable.

Tim is very friendly and knows his profession. He was prompt to return calls and come at the appointed time. The locks look great and work smoothly. We are very happy with his work.

Tim was great. Called me back to tell me everything was fine and that he found (and fixed!) the reason that the door was binding causing the key to break off in the lock.

I called and spoke with Tim about having my locks changed in my new house. I didn't give him much notice and asked him to come as soon as he could. He said he was very busy but would come around 4:30 pm the next day. He did warn me that he usually runs late, which I was fine with. I waited until 6:00pm that evening. I called and left him a voice mail to find out if he was still coming. I received a call an hour later informing me that he left me a voice message at 2:30. I told him he didn't and he insisted that he did. He offered to come in two days. I decided to go with someone else.

He answered my initial call quickly, he was on time, he has a nifty shop in his truck. He quickly did the lock in one door and explained some things I didn't know about the type of lock and the level of security. A second lock I thought needed to be replaced but Tim was very honest, said lubrication should fix it, and that was exactly the problem. A third lock he worked on but needed a part and will return to fix it. He is super friendly, obviously knows everything in the world about his business, and was punctual. An uncommonly great service experience. Price was good and while he was fast, he didn't rush.

Tim had some trouble with his truck, called to inform me, and arrived after the original plan. He found the problem and fixed it with a new part he had to drive off to find (not long away). Came back to add a lock to the garage. He informed me of all his work and was very pleasant to work with.

This is the 3rd time I have had Holt Lock & Key do work for me and like before, the work was done in a professional and timely manner. I just moved into a new home and was carrying around 4 different keys for the house & garage. Tim was able to re-key all the locks, replace a fixture and supply key copies. Now I carry one key that works in all door locks, including the garage. Tim answered when I called even though he was on another job. He was able to call me back within 10 minutes and schedule an appointment. Tim arrived on time and after discussing the work with me, went right to work. I will have Holt Lock & Key do all my locksmith work in the future. An A+ company.

Great work at a very reasonable price, arrived early and was very helpful in aligning door locks to close tightly. Was very pleasant, and professional. Will recommend this locksmith to anyone.

Tim richly deserves his A rating on Angie's List! This guy really knows his stuff and is no mere parts hanger. This meant a lot to me since our home is 80 years old, and the front door hardware is original to our tudor-style house. It adds to the character of the home, and we want to preserve it as long as possible. In our opinion, the modern imitations of this look are inferior in quality. The innards of the keyed cylinder were worn, making it difficult to lock and unlock with the key. Tim was able to rebuild it right on site in about 20 minutes. Works beautifully now! And no need to get new keys made -- the current ones work perfectly in the rebuilt unit. Tim arrived on time and was fabulous to work with; very reasonably priced, too! And as I said before -- he really knows his profession. You can't go wrong with Mr. Holt, and I'll definitely use him again!

I am extremely pleased with the the quality of Tim's work and with his professionalism. I called Tim the day we closed on our house and asked him to come out and replace the existing locks. He came the next morning, at the appointed time, and examined the work that needs to be done. Because he did not have lock cylinders with him that matched the colors of the door hardware, Tim suggested coming out the following day (Saturday) with matching cylinders. He warned me that it is typical for him to run late for an afternoon job because the length of appointments earlier in the day is unpredictable. He did, in fact, run late on the day of the appointment, but he called me ahead of time. The job itself took about an hour and Tim did not charge me for the keys to make up for arriving later than the appointed time. I would use Holt Lock and Key again and I enthusiastically recommend Tim Holt for jobs such as the one he did for me.

We've used Holt several times in the past, and they've always been fantastic. This time, our exterior lock stopped working entirely. I called and explained the issue, and the locksmith told me that it sounded like a simple problem I could fix myself. He recommended that I get a lubricant, spray it in the door, and then put the key in. It worked like a charm and was absolutely free! A lesser locksmith would certainly have milked me for the service call to do exactly the same thing. I'm very impressed.

Tim is awesome. He came out same day (after 5!) to remove a broken key from a door handle, and re-keyed screen doors while he was here. Super friendly, punctual, got the job done right! Highly recommended.

Tim is a superstar. He came out several weeks earlier to inspect our existing mortise lock on our front exterior door and give us the measurements we needed to purchase a new door hardware set. We were planning to refinish our front door and decided we wanted new hardware for the outside of the door. Tim was very helpful with helping us figure out where to look for *just* the hardware for the exterior, since we wanted to keep the historic hardware on the interior side. He didn't charge for this visit. We scheduled the lock installation for a few hours after our front door was reinstalled. Tim was running late but we spoke and set up a slightly later time. No big deal. He arrived and went straight to work. Everything fit! The dimensions of the new door plate fit perfectly and Tim was able to put all the pieces together perfectly, including a new deeper cylinder to accommodate the new door plate. He was friendly and chatty with our very verbal 3yo nephew. Tim also made sure that my husband and I try out the new lock set and made sure we could lock and unlock on our own (always a plus with a new lock!). I think he was a pleased as we were that the new door hardware piece fit! You never really know until it's installed... Tim was done in under an hour and was great to work with. I would definitely hire him again.
