Holt Lock & Key

I contacted Holt after deciding, for personal safety reasons, that I needed to change my locks. Tim was very responsive and offered to come out that evening. My schedule didn't permit, but he did come out at the next possible time. He changed the locks to both the house and garage and threw in the keys for free. He was very professional, but also very kind and understanding of the situation.

I called several AL service providers to get quotes on having my locks re-keyed. Holt's voice mail indicated he would be on vacation until Monday the 9th, so I left a message. He called me back on the 9th and left me a message indicating he was back to work. I appreciated his professionalism by changing his voice mail greeting and also by returning my call promptly on Monday morning. Unfortunately, I decided on a provider that was available the next day AND gave me a huge discount. However, I would consider using Holt in the future.

From the point of calling to be sure it could get done (replacing our locks with new keys), they were very professional. We told them it needed to be done quickly and at a specific time if possible. They were very accommodating and arrived promptly. All work was done quickly and all locks are great.

Everything went smoothly and well. I would recommend this company.

Several of the locks were original with the 90 year old house and were non-functioning. After discussing the cost of servicing them versus replacing them, we decided to have them serviced. Tim did a great job and I think the price was excellent given the amount of work performed.

I had locked myself out of my garage. I called them up and the guy pushed out his next job (after verifying with the customer that would be okay) and came right over. He was very nice, professional and quick!

The job went just fine. Tim came when he said he would, and was very pleasant and engaging. He even chatted with my 2-year old and made him feel a part of the project. The latch mechanism was indeed broken, and he had a new mechanism on and the door was fixed within 30 minutes.

I called but after it rang a few times I hung up and was going to call back later.A couple of seconds later the phone rang. I described the job and he said he could do it the next day. He arrived on time. He did the work. He even fixed the door alignment. This guy did a terrific job for a reasonable cost and had a big smile. What more can you ask?

Fantastic service - immediate and easy. Offered great insights on how to improve existing security measures and made a horrible day end well. Would contact again without hesitation.

I have called Holt Lock and Key in the past and find that Tim is very helpful. Recently I needed my locks all re keyed and Tim was able to schedule me in fast and did the work on a Saturday. After the work was done he cleaned up the saw dust from drilling holes in one of the doors. Tim is very personable. I would definitely use Holt Lock and Key again.

They showed up when they said they would, and they did what they were supposed to do.

Older door and it took a bit for the parts to come which he forewarned me about. As an interim step he cleaned the existing worn lock so it would work more easily while we waited for the new one. He then replaced the handle set with the new one. It looks great and works perfectly. I don't miss struggling with the old worn lock! Tim is very professional and just a friendly, personable individual. He has done other work for me and I will continue to use him for all my locksmith needs. He is a great example of a small business owner who is responsive to his customers.

We had a new front door installed recently and the hardware turned out to be incorrect for our door. We were left with no way to lock the new front door. A neighbor recommended I call Tim Holt because she had a great experience with him years before. Tim came to our house late on a Saturday afternoon to see if he could rework the lock for us. The hardware was custom and he was not able to fix it for us without voiding our warranty. Even though he came to our house at an inconvenient time, spent time working on the problem and we offered to pay him for his time, he did not charge us for the trip. He said he felt bad that he could not fix it for us. I would absolutely call him again.

They were punctual and the guy was very pleasant.

They were very good. They were very professional. It was very easy to work with them. They had high quality equipment and were very knowledgeable. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. They are a little expensive but they were worth it.

I called Tim in the morning, and he came out in the afternoon to un-jam the door, saying it was a safety issue and he wanted to make sure we could get in and out. (Note: After her removed the broken latch, we could still lock the door due to having a second lock on that door.) He did not have the Baldwin latch on hand, but ordered it and called the next week when it was in. He installed it the day I called him back. This is my second experience with Holt Lock & Key. He came out earlier in the year to re-key some locks. It is always an excellent service at a fair price. I highly recommend it.
