Greg's Lawn Service

It was sub par. I would not recommend them to anyone. I would not use them again. I feel they did not do a good job on my yard and they were not friendly.

The service did a great job. Arrived verly early AM after the snowfall and removed more than I even expected. So far, so good. I would definitely recommend.

r.Arrived on time, checked with me to look at finished work to see if I was satisfied. Did a good job of blowing off sidewalk & driveway. Was surprised to learn that the original estimate didn't include them hauling away the cut off branches and debris. Was charged an extra $10 to have them dispose of it. I had assumed that when you hire someone to trim, they automatically take care of it. I guess they charged me according to how many bags they filled.

They are very cordial. I think they are excellent in every way. Greg is very friendly anc completely reliable. And they do a good job.

****This is just a quick update to let folks know I hired Greg's Lawn Service again just this week to finish out the 2012 lawn mowing season for us. I called yesterday and said we were looking for weekly help for the rest of the season. Since they provided our service last year, they knew the property. I asked if there was any way they could start yet this week. And -- the crew was at our house today! I highly recommend Greg's Lawn Service! This is the best money I spend each week! I left a voicemail for Greg, he followed up with a letter and contract in the mail after coming out to look at the size of our property. After that we had one phone call about details and they have been working like clock work each week. I was able to request a specific day of the week for my service to coincide with our garbage pick up (for the lawn clippings). We have a slightly oversized Minneapolis city lot (we don't have an alley like most in the city). The lawn mowing is straight forward. When it was wet early in the summer, they bagged the grass each week and left the bags in our driveway for us. Now, they just mulch the grass. I did call ask them to start bagging the back yard again last week because the grass gets pretty messy in back - I just left a voicemail and the next week the grass was bagged. I also had to change the schedule one week - just left a voicemail and they came at the new time. While our mowing is straighforward, our lawn takes a lot of edging - we have a fenced yard and numerous flower beds. They do a wonderful job making everything look perfect! They send a 3 person crew - one mows the front, one mows the back, and one does the edging. I am usually not home when they are there, but they often are getting started as a I leave for work. I think it takes them just about an hour. This same work takes my husband and I about 2-3 hours working together. I did a lot of research and Greg's was the most affordable lawn service that I found - and they do spectacular work!

When I came home from work they had already been there and my lawn looked so nice. That's prompt service!!!! It just really makes my day to come home to a mowed lawn. I've used Greg for about 3 years for lawn mowing and snow removal. They're reliable, quick, leave the yard tidy - no grass on the sidewalks, and do a marvelous job of trimming around the fence. I've also used them to clean up brush and trim bushes. I do all my arrangements with Greg by email - I just send him a list of what I need done, he sends me a quote and when I get home it's done. I'm a very happy customer and I highly recommend his service!

They were an alright company to work with. They helped me out on very short term notice when I wasn't able to do my own shoveling.

I first called Greg's Lawn Service during the terrible snow storms we had in December. I was travelling at the time and I was afraid that I was going to get a ticket from the city if I didn't get my sidewalk cleared. Greg called me back and told me he was swamped but he could get to me a few days. He did and ever since then I've been calling Greg on an incident by incident basis. His service is always punctual and they do a great job!

I used Greg's for two years and had good service. Fall of 2010, I was contacted by another company that offered very inexpensive rates and decided to try them. The first two (fairly minor) snowfalls went fine, but when the snow really hit, they were nowhere to be found. They did not even answer phone calls or send an email. I had no idea what was going on, but I was snowed into my garage. I called Greg and begged to be his customer again. He said he was not looking for more business, but I think he heard the desperation in my voice and accepted me back into his fold. Greg's employees usually have me shoveled out shortly after the snow stops/fades. At one point, I contacted him and requested he send a crew back again after the snowplows blocked my sidewalks/driveway, and he did. Can you find someone less expensive? Maybe, but that didn't work out so well for me. BUT, for dependability and punctuality, Greg can't be beat.

I cannot tell you how great they are. In the fall they cleared the leaves without my even asking. If there is a snow fall that ends in the middle of the night, I wake up and my walks and driveway are shoveled. And if you email or call Greg in the middle of a snowstorm, he gets back to you. You can choose the level of service you want and their pricing is reasonable. Ultra reliable. Run don't walk to Greg's services if you need help.

They came & shoveled after our first heavy snow in November and that charge was $44. They (there were 4 guys) were just here shoveling out after our 17+inches. They cleared it all...even the huge mounds from the plow. I have not yet gotten the bill, but I can't imagaine how long it would have taken me to move all that snow

Do not waste you time calling this guy.

He was very nice and easy to talk to.

I am very happy with them. There are flexible. They get back to you soon. They check and double check the work that was done to make sure the quality was good.

They were not punctual which is why I didn?t hire them. The person that came out to do the estimate was not the slightest bit friendly. With other companies, I would show them what I wanted and they would suggest other things as well. This guy told me they don?t do several of the jobs I was asking for. This was right before Memorial Day so I told him that I hope he has a good holiday and he told me he was trying to get out of there so he could. He was just darn rude.

Great service and very happy with the results. It took a while for them to arrive to do the work, but once they were there it went very well.

They always do a good job and are reliable.

I don't dislike anything about the experience thus far, and will continue to use them.

I'm very happy with the work. I will say that Greg's not a phone person. When I placed the first call to Greg, he didn't call me back and I thought he blew me off. But about three days later I found an estimate in my mail box with a contract for me to sign if I wanted his service. I signed it and mailed it to him and again, no phone call confirming or anything. But a week after mailing it, they showed up on a Saturday and have been coming every Friday am or Saturday am since. He did return my call though when the guys missed a few noticeable spots.

They are great. They remove or shovel the snow on a timely basis -- earlier than I would expect. And they do a good job. I would recommend them highly.

No problems, no complaints from tenants

I was impressed with the quality of the work from the start. They were very thorough, cleaned up sticks and branches, and the first time around in the spring, when there was a significant amount of leaves and other debris to be raked up, they cleaned up and bagged that, and hauled it away for an additional fee (at my request). When mentioning that it costs $45 each time to people who know the size of my yard, they initially seem to think that is took expensive, particularly when it usually only takes me 30-40 minutes to mow it myself. But I remind them, that unlike Greg's crew, I rush through it, don't do a very good job, and I don't do any trimming around trees, landscaping, etc. They, on the other hand, are meticulous, yet fast and efficient.

He is very reliable. He is available whenever we call him. His price was very competitive. A lot of people we spoke to very much expensive.

They took care of everything, and it was great. They were there every time it snowed, and we never had to worry about it. We were very happy with them.

Greg is really great. He is always there to do the meticulous job and keeps the lawn in the exact way he finds it before. The lawn is great. He does an effective job.
