We have a Heat N Glo that we haven't used much since we moved into our house. Dave showed up on time, started right away, and very neatly thoroughly cleaned the fireplace. He showed us how to use the fireplace and gave us tips to keep is working smoothly. Highly recommend.

Fantastic. Talk about professional. Dave was out on time and ready to work. He literally knew every last detail about our fireplace, down to the cost per hour to run it! He took everything apart, cleaned and serviced it, replaced some of the glow material and showed me everything along the way. If I ever have an issue with it, I know who I'll be calling, no doubt. Very pleased.

Terrific service. He showed me how the logs had been incorrectly replaced, causing the issue. He cleaned everything, touched up the paint, replaced some embers and even replaced a part for free,that he said he "might" have broken at no charge. Some of the best service I've received from anyone in any industry. I will be calling him yearly to clean and tune my fireplace every year.

Wonderful. Told us no need to call him every year like we had for cleaning. Instead of just taking our money, he cut back on when we called him for business.

Only rated Good rather than Excellent for 2 reasons: 1) couldn't get them out as soon as we wanted because of how booked they were, and 2) it wasn't made clear that they only do gas fireplaces and not wood-burning ( we have 1 of each). Otherwise, company provided exceptional service!

Dr. Dave showed up right on time and was knowledgeable and professional throughout. He was thorough in his inspection and pointed out things that were not in need of replacement right away (ceramic glass, burner, coals) but that we would want to keep an eye on in the coming years of use, along with the expected costs of those eventual replacements. He swapped out all of the batteries (both in the insert and remote). The glass is clean and the fireplace starts without the dramatic whoosh that terrified my little one. The area around the fireplace was spotless when he left. I was very satisfied and would highly recommend The Fireplace Doctors.

From making the appointment to completion of the work, Dr. Dave did an excellent job removing and disposing of my gas fireplace. He removed the box surrounding the fireplace and fireplace itself quickly and efficiently without any damage or debris left behind. I would recommend The Fireplace Doctor for their excellent customer service and quality work for a reasonable price.

Dave arrived when promised, kept the work area clean. He's obviously knowledgeable and highly skilled - and a very nice guy to boot! He explained everything he was doing and planned to do. He cleaned up teh area completely when he was finished. He finished completely in about 2 .5 hours. His efforts were a good value. If I have trouble with the fireplaces again - David will be the guy that I call on!

We had to wait 1.5 months for Dave and I'm glad we did!!!! Dave was early for the appointment and took about 2+ hours to complete all the work. Which is great knowing he took his time and did it right. He cleaned up all the pilots,cleaned the boxes, glass and ect. He touched up the paint and added lava rocks. The fireplaces work and look great! We were missing insulation on one of the fireplaces; that created a little draft. Dave had some extra insulation, added it and fixed it; the way it should have been done. We are really pleased with all the work and the outcome, thanks Dave awesome job!!!!

I called to inquire about the cost of service and what the process entails because my fireplace has not been working. A lady answered the phone who very professional and kind. She asked me to describe the issue. After I described the issue, she put me on three way with another gentleman. They helped me navigate through the different knobs tied to my fireplace. We were able to get my fireplace up and running without it costing a cent. And without them having to come out. The fact that Fireplace Doctor cared enough to take the time to problem solve with me via phone is service that doesn't happen often in this world. Believe that I will be recommending them to anyone that will listen because I know Fireplace Doctor is really about exceptional customer service and not just making a profit by any means.

Dave is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is an expert in fireplaces and should be consulted before you spend lots of money replacing a fireplace that he can probably fix, if you want.

We have an 18 year old fireplace that wouldn't stay lit so we called the Fireplace Doctor and the whole transaction was excellent. Dave showed up on time and completed the job promptly and neatly. He knew all about the fireplace and manufacturer and took the time to answer any of my questions about the parts and their functions. Upon initial review of the situation and the age of the fireplace Dave thought we may need a new part or possibly two. But once he cleaned it up and tested out the existing components he found everything to be in good shape so there was no need for additional parts and labor. I appreciated his honesty! He was very thorough, informative and pleasant to deal with. I will definitely recommend him to others.

Working with Nancy to schedule the appointment was a breeze -- she was very prompt and professional. However, once it came to the actual appointment with David, it all went downhill from there. The appointment was scheduled for 8am. The week prior, I called to let Nancy know that my husband would be meeting David at the house, but had a 9am meeting to get to, so he wouldn't be able to stay for the appointment. She said she was making a note in the file that he had a 9am meeting and assured me David would be there by 8am. At 7:54 AM the morning of the appointment, David called to let me know he was running late and would be there by 8:15. 8:15 sailed by and he wasn't there...then 8:20...then 8:25. I called David at 8:27 and asked where he was. Now he said he would be there by 8:35. He claimed traffic was bad (despite there not being any rain or snow), and I even checked traffic on Google Maps to give him the benefit of the doubt and it was moving just fine. I believe he just didn't leave in time. It's also very unprofessional if you tell someone 8:15 and then don't call with an update, instead waiting for them to call you at 8:30 to find out what's going on. My husband said he would wait until 8:40 and then he had to leave. He had his car in reverse in the driveway when David finally showed up. Next, we had never discussed that David would dispose of the gas insert for us when getting the initial quote. He told us that the insert wasn't worth anything, but we were going to try listing it on Craigslist and/or just putting it in the dumpster with the rest of our construction trash if we couldn't resell it. David showed up to the house and noticed we had pulled the frame of the insert off. He asked my husband where it was. My husband (thinking he needed it to properly remove the insert), told him it was in the garage (which was quite a mess with all of our home renovation stuff). We got home and were surprised to see that David had taken the fireplace insert, and even gone digging through our garage for the frame pieces. On the invoice he said he wasn't charging us for the disposal due to being late, even though we had never discussed disposal in the first place. My hypothesis is he told us we couldn't resell it when we actually can, and he plans to resell it himself.

Very thorough and professional. Completely disassembled, cleaned, and re-assembled two gas fireplaces. Great communication and feedback on care and usage of fireplaces. Took well over 3 hours to complete the job, well worth the cost. Highly recommend Dr. Dave. Thanks
