Lonn did a great job. He was very easy to work with and very patient with us. He was unhappy with some of the painting on the doors so he came up on a Saturday and fixed it. We didn't even have to ask. Lonn was courteous, on-time, and completed the work when he said he would. We highly recommend Lonn.

Lonn was very patient when we were trying to choose the type of wood and finish and style of doors. He came up with excellent solutions to dilemmas we faced, made good suggestions about things we had not even thought of, and even warned us that new refrigerators would not fit under our old 30 year old cabinet above our current frig. Because of Lonn our homely but serviceable utility closet is now much more attractive, as are all the cabinets and drawers, and we have better access to previously hard-to-reach storage areas thanks to a new "back door" in one area and pullout shelves in another. We also enlarged the refrigerator nook to make room for modern refrigerators. Lonn was polite, diligent, patient and thorough. He cleaned everything up very nicely when finished. He even installed brackets and modified ductwork to help us replace our old range hood with a new combination microwave/oven fan. We would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Lonn started the job when he said he would, was punctual each day and does excellent work. Great attention to detail, very patient with us as we worked through what we wanted done. Did a great job of cleaning up and coming back to make minor adjustments. I give Lonn my highest recommendation. We absolutely love our new kitchen!

As part of out kitchen remodel we needed everything and turned to Angie's List to begin that process. We found Custom Refacing and his reviews were so positive that we wanted Lonn to come out and give us an estimate. He brought us some wood samples, door styles, etc. for replacing out kitchen cabinets and drawer fronts. Once we booked our install date he scheduled some time for a full measurement of the kitchen and to go through any custom options or questions we had about the process. He was professional, always prompt at returning messages, and is knowledgeable about his craft (as one would expect). The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Lonn arrived on time, was meticulous in his work, cleaned up at the end of each day, and the end result is beautiful. I highly recommend Custom Refacing and would not hesitate to use Lonn again.

I found Lonn on Angie's list and I'm so glad I did. Right away when he came to give us an estimate I felt really comfortable with his professionalism. He asked a lot of questions so that he could do exactly what we wanted which was the complete opposite of other contractors that came in and told us what we needed to do. We decided to go with him because we thought his estimate was reasonable, he was willing to do exactly what we needed, and we just really liked him. Between the time we decided to hire him and the time he could come in and do the work was about 4-5 weeks. In that time I had a number of questions about the project and Lonn was very responsive. Surprisingly so if you have worked with contractors before. He's also punctual. If he says he is going to be there at 8am he is going to be there at 8am. Our project turned out beautifully; we really couldn't be happier and we have already referred Lonn to a number of people. We feel so lucky we found him!

Lonn did a terrific job in our kitchen. He was patient with us while we decided our door style (he has a lot to choose from, which was great). He was responsive to calls and emails and right on schedule for appointments. He made sure we were very happy with the color sample before he started. He made the suggestion to remove the mullions from our lower cabinets, which I am so grateful for - great idea that I wouldn't have thought about. He works efficiently but carefully - with attention to detail. I felt good about his price, especially considering the excellent quality of his product and workmanship.

We found Custom Refacing on Angies List and because of the high reviews called Lonn to come to our home to give an estimate for refacing our kitchen cabinets. Lonn initially came one evening and took rough measurements, showed us the door options, and suggested a few things to improve the look of our kitchen. He was very prompt and professional and was able to give us that evening a good idea of the cost. After thinking about it for a few days, we decided to have Lonn do our cabinets. He was booked out for a few months, but we were able to wait. A month before the job, he came to take final measurements, help us select cabinet door style, stain color, and cabinet hardware. The next couple days we were unsure whether we had chosen the right stain color, but Lonn was very patient and willing to do several samplesof stain so we were sure to be pleased with the final results. The week the work was done went real smoothly. Doorways were closed off and large tarps were put up to minimize any dust getting to the rest of the house. It took him just three full days and clean up at the end of each of those days was impressive. We are thrilled with the results and love our new kitchen. We are so happy that we were able to improve our kitchen without tearing out all the old cabinets. We still need to decide on a back splash, but just getting the cabinets finished made a huge change for us. The price was more than we expected, but with the changes Lonn made and for the type of wood we chose, we are satisfied that we truly got our money's worth. We would definitely recommend Custom Refacing to anyone thinking about remodeling a kitchen.

Lonn came out to give me an estimate. I was open to suggestions and he gave me some good ideas on how to make the cabinets more efficient. After we decided to go ahead with the project, he returned to measure and schedule the remodel. He came out as scheduled and completed the project in about a week. Another guy painted the cabinets (can't remember his name) while Lonn did all the installing. Mind you, I live on the other side of town from Lonn, but he was prompt and did exactly what he said he would do. He cleaned up every day, and even swept out our garage after having to do some sawing. I was nervous about going ahead because once you start, you can't go back! But both my husband and I love the new kitchen and couldn't be happier with the result! I wouldn't change a thing. Lonn is very personable and I appreciate how pleasant he was to work with. I highly recommend Lonn for the quality of his workmanship and his professionalism.

Things went very well ! He was punctual, tidied up after himself each day ( 4 days ) and took great care draping off the kitchen to eliminate as much dust as possible. He did a beautiful job! Even without ripping out old cabinets and putting in brand new, it looks like a totally different kitchen! My son walked in and just said WOW! That was my reaction too! He didn't have music playing loudly while he was here, or smoke or take an excessive number of phone calls. I'd hire him again in a minute!

Lonn was an excellent contractor to work with to update our kitchen. He spent hours consulting with us and ensuring that he understood what we wanted in our renovation, and exhibited patience with somewhat indecisive clients :). He accommodated requests that were not ?on the menu? (a specific crown molding profile, a specific aesthetic modification to certain existing cabinets, etc.) He took great notes and measurements during pre-engagement conversations, and everything fit as expected. We initially thought we wouldn?t be able to use him as his schedule was booked months in advance and we needed our house renovations completed before our baby arrived, but he was well worth the wait and it worked out perfectly! The materials Lonn uses are very quality -- virtually zero sapwood, virtually zero knots, veneer thickness was 1/8? (much thicker than what you would get at a big box retailer). The cabinets he built himself have high-quality internal construction (structural joints were pocket jig/screwed and glued and had a tight, flush fit with other cabinets). The drawer glides function well, the soft close drawers and doors are amazing, and the no-show cabinet hinges are high quality as well. The price was reasonable, given the quality materials and labor. During the project, Lonn was very respectful of our home, our time, and our additional requests. Lonn gave point estimates on when he would start work daily and was extremely punctual (no ?two-hour window? business). He even finished a day sooner than expected! He hadn?t planned on sanding down the existing oak color on the inside of the cabinet boxes until we asked him to, and he was happy to oblige even though it took him a few extra hours. He was careful not to damage the existing flooring and cabinet frames, as he put down impact-absorbing inter-locking rubber tiles on the floor and took his shoes off when he came inside. We were very impressed with his extra care to contain the dust from his work, such as putting up a ?wall? of plastic sheeting around the kitchen to contain the mess. The kitchen was well-vacuumed and tools were organized at the end of each day, making our construction-zone kitchen as livable as possible by 5 pm (this 38 week pregnant lady greatly appreciated that!) He also installed a few pulls and knobs in our master bathroom for no charge, making the cabinets much more functional. Finally, Lonn also came back to our home months later to fix two minor things that we noticed once we started using our kitchen everyday -- again, free of charge. Ultimately we are very happy with his work and would definitely recommend him, and use him again in the future for potential bathroom cabinet renovations!

Lonn is true professional and craftsman. He did a fabulous job on refacing our cabinets and building the new pieces that we wanted. His attention to detail is second to none. During the initial quote visit, he provided great advice as to what would work and what would not work in our kitchen. Our cabinets were in good shape so decided to go the refacing route. We did obtain a few quotes but we found Lonn to be the best based upon his fair pricing, his likeability, what he could do (his pictures were wonderful), the reviews on Angies List, and how he understood our vision. An opening in his schedule allowed him to come out a few weeks earlier than planned to do the install. He is a such a pleasant and well mannered person. Lonn always showed up on time and worked neatly and efficiently. He closed off other areas, covered and protected the floors, and covered all the appliances to prevent any damage to them. He spent 3 days on site and each day would go through with us what he'd done and what was remaining. Our kitchen cabinets look completely brand new. You would not say that they are refaced - Lonn's work is seamless and professionally done. It looks amazing!! The custom built items are so well made and fit in beautifully, that it seems as if they were always there. We have fallen in love with the pantry cabinet and roll outs. Thank you Lonn! I did not want to replace my cabinets as that would have required new counter tops. Although the price may seem expensive, this was not a standard refacing job. He covered the face of my cabinets with 1/4 inch cherry not a peel and stick laminate. He removed all the center posts, put new doors and drawer fronts on, lined the inside of an open cabinet and added 2 shelves, put all new hardware on, and repaired 3 of my cabinets. He did excellent work and was neat and clean. I would definitely recommend Lon to do this job for you. With the holidays just pass, I cannot tell you the number of compliments my cabinets got. My brother-in-law, who is a cabinet maker and had tried to talk me into new cabinets, was extremely impressed with Lon's work. He could not get over the fact that mine was a cabinet refacing job. Well worth every penny! Thank you, Lon!

I would highly recommend Lonn for your kitchen project. He was great to work with, results were excellent, the price was reasonable. He brought up things we hadn't considered, cleaned up at the end of every day, was very respectful of our home & preferences. He was punctual & trustworthy (We had to leave for most of one day when he was working at our house & didn't worry about it at all.) He was also patient & not pushy during my slow decision making process. I love my new kitchen!! Our microwave above the stove is old & he told us that a new one would probably take more vertical space requiring a change to the cupboard, so we did that as part of the project. Others didn't mention that. He offered limitless choices re: wood, door styles and finishes. The new doors & drawer fronts were made by a local company that uses hand rubbed stains which are much nicer than the sprayed on ones you usually see that obscure the grain. Also they custom mix the stain to get exactly what you want. The 1/4 inch facing material also gives a much better result than the thin veneer offered by most others. He covered our floors & counters with thick foam pads during the project & kept sawdust out of the rest of the house with floor-ceiling tarps. There were minor imperfections in a couple of doors and he replaced them without any hassle. You can't go wrong with this company.

I had to replace my dishwasher and needed to create a new cabinet panel to match the existing cabinets. A very difficult job indeed! I called a couple of different cabinet companies, but nobody was really interested to even take on the job. Lonn said he would take a look, but we both recognized it was a smaller job and that he would fit it in as time permits. When Lonn came out, he asked all the right questions, took measurements, and was very honest on when the work could be done. Once the cabinet panel was ready for install, Lonn stopped out on time and took his time to do the job right. He was very courteous with an attention to quality and it looks fantastic. He was actually able to match a discontinued handle to match the current kitchen cabinets. He even faded the new stain correctly, so it doesn't stick out against the existing cabinets. Lonn was always prompt, set the correct expectations up front, and performs extremely high quality work. I have no doubt that I will call him with any cabinet refacing needs in the future.

refaced cabinets & drawers raised microwave & cut up above refrigerater and also put in a swing door in the corner cabinet. I went with maple and he match the exact color I wanted. It's beautiful!!!
