Lonn did a excellent job. He offered suggestions during the planning process, which we appreciated. The change made converting cupboards to drawers has been great. Much better use of space. I can't say enough about how well he cleaned up each day and then at the end of the project. He did everything possible to minimize the mess made on such a big job. Everything was completed as promised and with excellent workmanship. THANK YOU Lonn!

Superb. Lonn was an expert designer, and helped us anticipate unique install opportunities we had not considered. Lonn and his install crew were professional, and adaptive to modest changes in the final product. I unequivocally recommend Custom Refacing. Down the road, when bathrooms will require cabinetry, we will first consider Lonn and his team.

Lonn Schmitz helped to redo our 30+year old, oak cabinets into a brand new kitchen. His knowledge/expertise, workmanship and professionalism was evident from the first preliminary appointment to completion of the job. All of our questions and concerns were always fully and quickly answered, putting us more at ease as the project progressed. When at times we were unsure of something, such as size and placement of hardware and asked his opinion he carefully helped us. We also asked him to build new vanities for three bathrooms and he exceeded our expectations. The new cabinetry is beautiful. This was a project that we were nervous to undertake not knowing how the refacing would look and if it was as cost effective as we hoped. It was worth every penny and because of Lonn and his skills, we are enjoying our new kitchen and bathrooms!

First I would like to apologize for taking so long to do this review. Lonn did an excellent job from explaining what he could do and completing the job the way he said he would. As I remember there was about a 2 month lead time between agreeing to the job and getting it done. It took about 4 days to complete during which time we had to setup other cooking arrangements. He did a good job of containing the dust within the work area, so the rest of the house stayed pretty clean. He did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to work with. We also had new counter tops installed, but that was done by a different contractor. The cost listed was for the cabinet work only.

The whole process went amazingly well. Lonn provided exceptional quality at a very reasonable price. We would definitely hire him again or recommend him to others.

Lonn is THE most reliable contractor I have ever worked with. He has done 3 projects in my house and every time his work was impeccable. He has now fixed every cabinet in my house, so I probably won't need his services again, but I can strongly recommend him for both refacing and custom cabinet building.

Lonn the owner was great to work with all around. There was no problem with trying to reach him or him returning calls. He does all the work on his own which was a plus to me. We added a few pull out drawers, extra cabinets and extended our cabinets to the ceiling and we love the look of our kitchen! Lonn's price was much better than other quotes we received. Our experience with Custom Refacing was wonderful! We're totally satisfied with the end results. Lonn, the owner, does the construction and installation. He is very talented, knows what he is doing, and is easy to work with. When we met with him, he explained the process, what to expect, and the cost (which was exactly the same as the estimate). He did what he said he would do, and did it on schedule. His craftsmanship is of the highest quality; he is clearly an expert at this. Lonn showed up on time, was very careful to seal off the kitchen area to keep sawdust from flying around the house, was flexible in accommodating our needs, and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. Not only is he highly skilled, but also used quality materials, e.g. no cheap shortcuts, no particle board, no veneers that can splinter off over time. I feel like we have new cabinets in our kitchen, and they are the best quality. The finish is immaculate: no rough edges, no misaligned pieces, no dust specs, no streaks, no bumps. Not only is the workmanship the highest quality, but so is his integrity. He worked hard to make sure we got what we wanted and were satisfied. We're glad we hired Lonn. We'd hire him again, and recommend him to others, without hesitation.

Lonn was great.....he had some great ideas for a additional wine rack including refacing all of our oak cabinets. Lonn was always on time....tarped off the work area and cleaned up after working each day. We couldn’t be more pleased with the finished product. Lonn was easily the best contractor we have ever hired since we built this house in 1989.

Perfect! I found Lonn on Angies List. Of 5 companies I sent enquiries to, Lonn was the only one to respond and I'm so glad! From start to finish this was a great project. Id had a Home Depot estimate first. Lonns prices are so reasonable! I was able to make a few fun upgrades and stay in budget. I can only include 1 photo. I wish I could add more.

The project went very well from the initial consultation to installation. Lonn is very responsive and his workmanship is top notch. He offered good suggestions to make our kitchen more functional. The installation went very smoothly. He put drapes around our kitchen to contain the dust there. He also cleaned up the area at the end of each day. The 1-foot extension of the top cabinet and the refacing took four days. We are very happy with our new kitchen and the extra storage.

Lon exudes good character and honesty. He was straight-forward, timely, clearly knowledgeable, and professional. He arrived on time each day and kept us informed about what to expect each phase. When he left each day, the site was clean and organized. He took care to minimize dust and disruption. His pricing was fair and more than reasonable. He didn’t try to “close” us on the deal and was exceptionally responsive. The finished kitchen is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. He had great suggestions and was detailed oriented. We simply can’t say enough about how he exceeded our expectations.

Very well. Pleased with result and added functionality in our 1950s kitchen. We have been talking about updating our kitchen for a while now, and initially had Lonn out 3 years ago to give us a bid on some cabinet work. We were really impressed by his attention to detail and thoughtful suggestions. So this fall, when we were ready to move ahead on the project, we called Lonn back out for a bid. We quickly accepted his suggestions and estimate. Lonn was booked several weeks out, which we took as a great sign--good craftspeople are busy and we felt worth a few weeks' wait. Our kitchen cabinets are solid oak and original to our 1950s house. They were painted in the early 90s, but otherwise, the cabinets and kitchen layout has remained unchanged. We kept the cabinets, but made some adjustments--removing a soffit and raising the upper cabinets on one side to allow more clearance. Lonn suggested he build new, taller inset doors so that we would gain some additional vertical storage where the soffit used to be. We also asked him to add pull-out shelves to several lower cabinets, as well as standard shelves to a converted pantry. Finally, he added two cabinet with scoop-type drawers above our fridge. The cabinets were also painted for a fresh look. We're very pleased with how the cabinets look and how much "found space" we now have.

The work was great and done in less than a week. The refaced cabinets look like new and tie in perfectly with the completely rebuilt and new cabinets. The kitchen looks like new! No hassles, no surprise costs, just quality work at a reasonable price. We highly recommend Lonn’s services.

Lonn is a true craftsman. Incredible attention to detail. Much higher quality materials than some companies offering refacing services. My wife and I could not be more impressed with the final product. A+ experience in every way.

Lonn is awesome! He was patient while we made decisions about color and style. He listened to what we were looking for and made suggestions as appropriate. We had Lonn reface our ugly oak cabinets in natural cherry and they are beautiful. He is an amazing craftsman. He was also very professional and had great suggestions without being pushy. He built custom pull-out drawers for most of our cabinets and extended height of top cabinets by 12". It was his suggestion and really dressed up the kitchen as well as increased storage space. He cleaned up and swept kitchen each day he was here and had tarps hung to prevent much of the sawdust from spreading to other rooms. The project took 4 days as he predicted and he was always here promptly at 8am. We couldn't be happier with end result.

Everything went quite well. We are very happy with our “new” cabinets. I was very slow to get around to writing this review so the work was done in late 2016, but here 18 months later we are still very pleased with the job.

We couldn't be more satisfied with our kitchen re-facing project! Lonn is a thorough professional and takes pride in the quality of work he does. He pays great attention to detail, does not overlook any nuances, works with precision and uses quality products. We had scheduled many months out with him, yet he was always prompt with communication and responsive prior, over the course of the project and beyond. There was a small delay in completion of our project as some pull-outs and drawers had to be reordered but Lonn handled the situation expeditiously and with utmost integrity. He worked efficiently and always with care. He was careful to protect the floor, clean up each day after his work was done and leave the kitchen functional as best as possible. It was a pleasure to work with Lonn. We highly recommend him.

The entire experience was professional, friendly, courteous, exciting and fun. We were on a very tight schedule with very little flexibility and Lonn made it happen on time. Lonn cares deeply for the quality of the product and will not install something he does not feel is up to his standards. Our kitchen is now ready for the next phase of this remodel. There are no words to describe how thrilled we are with the work Lonn did. He is everything previous reviewers have described. Punctual, attentive, patient, a true master craftsman. We saved many, many thousands doing refacing versus getting all new cabinets and the result is stunning. He took great care of all the surfaces in the areas he was working in, which was very important to us as we had just had the floors redone and a granite counter top put in as part of the updates. Our kitchen cabinets were done in just over 3 days. Versus an all out kitchen demo and reno that could take months, this was a piece of cake, and Lonn made sure we could still use the kitchen each night as needed until he was done. Lonn obviously takes pride in his work and is very easy to work with. He was very patient, timely, and responsive every time I contacted him or had questions. Lonn also cleaned up every night before he left, which I appreciated. When Lonn realized one of the pull out drawers might rub on the inside of the door, he told me he would replace the drawer and he did. I'm sure some contractors would not have even pointed that out, but because Lonn obviously cares that his customers are satisfied, he brought it to my attention and corrected the problem. I love my cabinets and would highly recommend Custom Refacing.
