Could not be happier with our new patio! Greg and his team provided stellar service from the beginning to end of this project. Greg was especially great in giving us a range of smart design options. We have a sloped yard, and opted to add a bench/retaining wall at Greg’s suggestion – so pleased with that choice, which affords extra seating, nicely complements the patio and makes for a lovely looking backyard oasis. Our job was scheduled promptly, crew was excellent, the job finished ahead of time and clean-up was impeccable. Our only regret was not doing this improvement sooner! Would highly recommend Greg and we will definitely call him for our next outdoor project.

Extremely well. Greg is very honest and experienced at this type of work. I gave a 5 on pricing because Greg took extra steps to save costs where ever he could. Due to Covid, as you may imagine, material costs have increased dramatically. Greg used his contacts and his own supplies to save whenever he could. As an example the galvanized steel sheets used to support the concrete increase cost from approximately $3500 to over $9000. Greg would not even suggest paying this much. It took Greg over a week of calling and found material at one supplier for just over $4000. Now that’s good savings and good customer support ! His crew was on time each day and work well together. This was a big job. I have a shop under my garage floor. The concrete was caving in while the upper garage floor had rebar exposed. 22x24 garage floor. They demo’d the floor in 1 day. Used large foam to protect the lower floor . The crew obviously had experience and industrial equipment to get the job done efficiently. They cleanup each day before leaving . This job required an engineering drawing and permit. Greg secured the permit and provided an engineering company for me to work with. Greg came to my house for both visits providing me help and advice. The final product looks great and will last a life time. I am very happy with Greg , his company Crosstown Concrete and his crew. I would hire them again for any concrete work or landscaping -as landscaping and retaining walls is also work that they do.

Crosstown was first recommended to us by our Bachmsns Landscape Professional who we had worked with for 25 years. The project could not have gone better. The results are fantastic. Greg and his team are great to work with. They made great suggestions along the way to improve on the initial plan. Based on the results of the driveway paver project, we easily decided to have him back to replace our garage floor.

Greg really is someone to be trusted to do the right work with concrete! For driveway durability, I appreciate that he uses 5" deep concrete as a standard. Although his services are in high demand, he took the time to come out and look at my project right away. I appreciated that he spent a good half an hour talking to me about what options were available as I was considering turning the area into a usable patio in front of my steps next to my house instead of just having rocks there. We discussed using stamped and colored concrete for the steps and patio. The existing front step was unusually high so we agreed to go with two smaller steps. The driveway is about 65' long and 18' wide, the front step area is 5' long and 10' wide, and the patio area is 17' long by 10' wide. Greg's crew removed the existing driveway, installed a new window well, and put the driveway in all in on week once the project got underway. I am really impressed with how the project turned out. I love how my driveway looks, and the stamped, colored concrete patio and front steps look so nice! All of my neighbors were impressed too! I can honstly say that I would not recommend anyone else. Greg really knows concrete, uses a special concrete mix that meet his specifications for durability, and really cared that the patio area sloped ever so slightly away from my house (so that water would not be an issue), and really wants to make sure that you will have something that will last a very long time! I am very happy that I chose Crosstown Concrete and was able to benefit from all their experience and expertise.

I highly recommend working with Crosstown Concrete and plan to work with them in the future as our association needs concrete work done. I am on the board of a townhome association and we originally reached out to Crosstown Concrete in 2020 to install a concrete flume to help with water management. They were provided a spec from an engineering firm we worked with and completed the work wonderfully. In 2021 we had a massive concrete project and a massive asphalt project we needed to get done. We worked with Crosstown on the concrete project to coordinate the removal and replacement of 23 garage floors as well as concrete aprons in front of the garages that ran the length of two of our buildings. Greg was great to work with. He responded quickly to phone and emails, came on site before the project began to work through details with us, even contacted some of the homeowners directly when they had questions or concerns. I do not imagine any project of that size ever goes 100% smoothly but Greg was very responsive when we brought problems to his attention and his crew treated our area with care while they worked.

The prior concrete contractor had installed sidewalks and steps without a proper foundation with the result that they were sliding towards the neighbor’s property which was lower and creating a gap between the concrete work and the foundation (water seepage risk). We were also concerned about our stucco and had a stucco contractor look at our home. Fortunately, they indicated that everything was OK, and no work was required. I appreciated their integrity and asked if they could refer us to a high integrity concrete contractor figuring that good contractors know good contractors. They recommended Crosstown. We got a couple of quotes and Crosstown was the lowest, but not by much. In our discussions I was impressed with Greg Pietig’s knowledge and customer service orientation with the result that we selected Crosstown. I wasn’t disappointed. The crew needed to have access to our neighbor’s yard since the work was right along the property line. They were able to cooperatively and effectively work with our neighbor for access and fulfilled all their commitments and properly handled cleanup. The crew was courteous and efficient. Greg was highly responsive to questions during the installation. Since the steps needed a railing, Greg referred us to an ornamental ironworks firm that supplied and installed it. I have no reservations in recommending Crosstown.

The project went smoothly and efficiently. Greg was great with returning phone calls and being adaptable to the work schedule of me and my spouse. It was a daunting project requiring excavation of an old concrete patio, repairing some foundation on the house, laying a newer bigger paved patio with concrete slab on the side, and also a paved stairway with stone steps going up a hill. Everything turned out even better than expected. He is also true to his word about repairs and the warranty of the patio. A few months after the project ended, we had to have a small portion of the patio pulled up for some electric line work. He had his crew come out to level, lay, and tamp the patio stones back into place free of charge. Would highly recommend.

Greg and his team are fantastic. When he came to do the estimate, he took the time to rethink through our original design ideas and helped us think through some additional options. He also made some suggestions to create a step in a cheaper way, savings us a few hundred dollars. We get so many comments on our beautiful brick patio and concrete steps. The crew were friendly, on time and responsive and even cleaned up the site really well. I have already recommended Greg to two other friends.

Greg and his entire team were great to work with in all stages of the project start to finish. We had a very comprehensive project performed, our asphalt driveway replaced with concrete/graded (asphalt was crumbling for years), our garage slab replaced with new concrete/graded (massive cracks from previous owner water damage), front walk way replaced with cobblestone brick (concrete walk was sunk/too steep) and our front steps also done in cobblestone brick. Greg is very knowledgeable on his trade, very credible, highly personable and straightforward, which we really appreciated during the bidding process. Crosstown’s bid was fair for the project scope (not the highest by any means, nor the lowest) and they were the only vendor we entertained (5+) in the Twin Cites MN area that guarantees their work on concrete and brick work and publishes/encouraged us to contact previous clients as references. We viewed and spoke to multiple previous clients around the metro and their reviews and Crosstown’s workmanship were great. Planning for the job all summer was great with open and timely communications (calls, emails, texts) with Greg. The Crosstown demo and concrete/brick crews were very punctual, professional, kind and treated our home site as if it were their own (they went out of their way to not damage any landscaping, garden beds, structure, etc.). We had a great time watching and interacting with the crews during the week long project. We would defiantly have Greg and his teams back over for lunch if they were in the area. The project totally transformed our home’s appeal and functionality. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Greg and the Crosstown Concrete teams. Thanks again Greg.

Greg and team were excellent. They were prompt, professional, and explained everything in detail. We needed a lot of cement work done which gets expensive quickly, but their work is worth it. Plus their prices were lower than the other quotes we had. We’ve had lots of positive comments and neighbors asking who did our work.

I was in emergency need of replacing a timber egress window well and an adjacent paver patio that chipmunks had tunneled into and destroyed. I needed it replaced before it caved into the basement window and now was the time. Secondly, I hoped for finding someone who could install a concrete pad attached to my garage’s slab for a future 3-season screened porch. I was having a struggle finding anyone for either. Patio installers didn’t want to take on replacing an egress window well. Concrete people said they were not comfortable drilling rebar into a 75-year-old garage slab. Greg was able to do all of this! His crew was able to relocate a large stone step used in the old patio and integrate it into a new extension of the newpatio. Greg’s crew was able to masterfully cut the replacement pavers tightly around the existing pergola posts, I was really impressed! The concrete slab was poured within the frame of an existing low-height retaining wall, but the edges were dug out deep enough below the ground for structural support of the future 3-season porch. We needed a railing around the egress well, and while such work is outside the scope of what he would do, Greg referred us to a metal smith who built for us a new railing and metal ladder into the well.

I did my due diligence and received three proposals on the replacement of my crumbling asphalt layered garage floor and driveway apron. There was no doubt that Greg Pietig from Crosstown Concrete and Brick Paving was the only one who had a clear vision how the job should be done, taking into account every aspect of the work, and working with me to meet our needs. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the crew and, most importantly, the quality of the work. My 60+ year garage has never looked so good! Greg and his crew did a great job tearing out my old slab and replacing it with pavers. They worked quickly, in spite of rain delays, and finished the job in a few days. I'm very happy with the result, and would recommend them.

Quality of work above average for the new concrete work performed. -Concrete splatter on front door, shutters and siding. Other firms apply poly covering to avoid this mess. -Original concrete driveway not protected from excess loading from redi-mix truck. Differential settlement of existing pavement panels and cracking resulted. Ask for protective mats to distribute the loads to avoid this. -Imported black dirt for landscape repairs and beds was high quality organic material. -Negotiated additional driveway removal and replacement. Fair with price at same unit cost as original quote.

Greg and his team were fantastic. Extremely professional and quick. They even let my 4 year-old assist them. They did beautiful brick detail to our driveway and repaired part of my walkway to the front. I definitely will be hiring him for future projects.

The main portion of the work was completed in 3 days. They returned in one week to seal the surface after the concrete was cured. We really appreciated the work ethic and professionalism of the work crew. They worked steadily, no loud music or raised voices, kept us informed of progress. Greg Pietig, the owner, showed up every day to check in with the crew and make sure everything was on track, and they had what they needed. We are very happy with the result.
