Project manager was excellent in keeping me updated with the timeline of the project and working with my schedule to schedule the crew to come out to do the work. Prior to the job, they pulled the necessary permits, send out someone to check for lead in the work area (I have an older home), and double check the measurements. The installer was two hours late on several days with a different excuse every day, but was excellent in cleaning up after himself, very friendly and polite. He answered any and all questions I had for him while he completed the work, and he did finish the project on time even though he found that one of the wall units of the tub surround to be installed had a crack in it, and we had to wait for a replacement unit to be delivered midway through the project.. I would certainly use Crew2 again for other home improvement projects.

We ordered an entry door and storm door from The Home Depot. The day the door was supposed to be installed I had a window of time scheduled and stayed home from work to be present for the install. I don't recall the specifics but it was something like 10-2. They called about a half hour after the window had ended and stated they wouldn't be able to make it because another job was running late and rescheduled for a different day. Then on the rescheduled day they called about a half hour before the window of time ended and stated they were on the way and arrived about an hour late. They did an ok job. They couldn't insulate the spaces around the door because it was too cold. I learned a lesson to never have a door installed in the winter because when the spring comes we will have to remove the trim and insulate ourselves. They also forgot to nail up a piece of trim indoors. This isn't a big deal to us because as stated previously we have to take the trim off in spring to insulated anyway.
Description of Work: Installed an entry door and screen door that we ordered at The Home Depot.

Terribly. It started with the day that the estimator came on his 18th birthday. He called me and asked me where I was...that it looked like there was no furniture in this house. He was right. He was at my old home. I had moved prior to placing the order for the flooring to be installed in my new home. The flooring person at Home Depot had submitted the order prior to confirming address with me. I did bring this up with him and I did hear him call in an address change, but obviously this never got communicated to anyone. Thank goodness I had only moved a mile away and not across town. He then appeared and measured for all that I had placed order for....which in addition to rooms listed above, included an area in front of patio door to be cut out and replace the existing carpet with same flooring as other rooms. All was to be wonderful. I should get my estimate in a few days. I finally got the estimate and got a date scheduled. Job was to be completed May 28-29. And then started the rest of the problems. I was called a week or so later that the flooring was in and could be delivered. I received a call that morning from the delivery person sitting at my old, still empty, house. He was directed to my new house. Two installers called me early May 27 to find out where I was. They were again sitting at my old house. They were directed to my new home where they then appeared shortly, in an old van, which I later found out had leaked oil in several spots on my driveway. They started removing the old flooring, and worked until one of the guys got injured with a piece of the flooring getting jabbed into a finger. They took off for the ER and said others would be coming that afternoon. Sometime after 5, I finally called....no one was coming until the next day. I informed them that I would need to have them done by about 7pm due to fact that I had to work midnight shift that night and would need to sleep for a while. They assured me that it would be no problem...they would send a larger crew and they would be able to get it done. The next morning, later than what I had been told, I received a phone call (amazing). These people, also, were directed to my new house. There was a "large" crew of two people, one of which left after about one hour and the one that was left here, after about another hour, left for his hour lunch break. He returned alone, not to have anyone else appear until probably 5 or 6. They pulled my refrigerator out and pushed it over onto my off white carpet. They had had some plastic underneath, but they must have thought that it got in their way because they then pulled that out and just pulled/pushed refrigerator on to the carpet. When they moved it back, I saw the very dirty marks that they had left behind. When they got the floor done in the kitchen, they pushed the refrigerator back into it's place and then came and told me that I would have to hook the ice cube maker back up which meant I would have to pull refrigerator back out and then push it back in again. I'm sure it was after 8 when they left. I was told that someone would come later to do the piece by the patio door. Another crew came out (after being sent to old house first) to install some transition strip between kitchen and laundry room. It had been discussed multiple times with multiple people, that I had in floor heating which originated in this laundry room. The guy was going to power nail this transition piece into the concrete floor (this is a single level townhome). That probably would have caused a major issue with the in floor heat, had one or more of their nails punctured the water tubes that run throughout the concrete floor. Good thing I said something...again, when I realized what they were doing. They glued it down. I assumed that these guys were going to do the piece by the patio door but when I asked this, I was told, "Oh no! That's not on our work order. We wouldn't get paid for it." Finally, on about June 23, the final Crew2 person came out, (to the old house first) to do the patio door piece and look at all the places that I had found issues with. When he looked at the floor by patio door, he pulled the carpet back, looked at it and said, "It would be impossible to do there because of the uneven concrete floor where the door is set in." I showed him the spots on the kitchen floor that it looked like something was trying to push up from underneath. He fixed one but not the other. I showed many of the places where the planks had been laid with to much of a gap between, the place where they got their dark marker on my white wall, the raw edge of flooring by bathtub that had no caulking over it, the little polka dots over much of the quarter round (which I had thought was caused by not countersinking the nails and filling them in but but found out it was caused by breaking through the plastic covering on the fake looking non wood quarter round that they had used) how horrible it looked throughout because they had installed quarter round that matched the floor instead of the baseboard that it went on top of (dark floor, light baseboard). He pointed out to me all the places that the installers had left their pencil markings on the floor that they had used with measuring. He said he would get in touch with their head guy, Dana, and have him give me a call. This was the only thing that went right. Dana did call me quickly. And then the problems began again. At this point I had decided that I wanted to just have the floor removed but that I did not want anyone from Crew 2 to come back into my house. (I had talked to 2 other flooring places in the meantime and had gotten estimates both to remove and replace floor or to repair and finish what Crew 2 hadn't done. (It was amazing how these 2 people both showed me exactly how easy it would be to do area by patio door by just evening out the concrete floor before installing new floor.) I was told that I could be reimbursed for the repairs if I went that route, which is what I ended up doing. Catalina Carpets from White Bear Lake came out to fix what he could and to put in the flooring by the patio door, which turned out beautifully, in spite of what the Crew 2 people said. I then spoke to Dana again, both to tell him about the $700 repair bill and that I felt that I should be given further compensation for all of the hassles that I had been given and for the fact that my floor is still full of openings between slats on many parts of the floor. He said that he would give me $1000 which I OK'd. Shortly after hanging up, I realized that he meant $1000 total, so only $300 of extra compensation on top of the $700 repair reimbursement. I tried calling him back and he never returned that call. I did talk several times to "customer satisfaction specialists" from Home Depot. These people seemed to be quite understanding. The 1st one actually came to my house to deliver some materials (which turned out to have been ordered wrong). She was the only person, other than the installers, that ever came out to inspect any of my concerns. She, then left that Home Depot and moved to another store so I had to start all over with another one. I didn't get any further satisfaction. When I returned the unused materials to Home Depot, the service desk employee asked me if I wanted my refund in check form or store card, I chuckled and said, "Check please. I'm pretty sure that I will never step into a Home Depot store again.

In total, the work took five full days. Four in early November in one in mid December after the countertops were installed. Norm, the lead contractor was terrific. On day one he noticed that several of the cabinets ordered by Home Depot were not measured properly and arranged for them to be re-ordered. He and his two co-workers were hard working, efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend this particular crew to anyone doing a kitchen reno. My Crew2 contacts for the countertop install were excelllent as well. Our only negative experience was with the Crew2 so-called "project manager". The PM was located in Minneapolis and never returned our calls. His voicemail offered an option to reach him by cell for emergencies, but he didn't answer his cell either. I was able to get the answers I needed by contacting Home Depot and/or the main Crew2 number. All in all, I was very pleased with the experience.

Crew2 was hired through Home Depot. They managed to save the day when everything went bad on the vinyl installation. Sheldon came out on a Monday and removed the old flooring and adding new subflooring for the kitchen. When he was ready to install the vinyl flooring it was labeled 28' long and looked too short. He measured and found that it was only 20' long and there wasn't enough material of the 3 week special order flooring. The manufacturer had cut it wrong. Home Depot's only solution was that I could go and buy flooring off the shelf from somewhere and hope Crew2 could come back. We rushed across town and purchased flooring and hauled it back to the house. At 6:30am on Tuesday I was working with Crew2 who was trying to find someone to install it. They moved Sheldon's assigned job back so he could complete ours and he was great. Sheldon had to install the vinyl in one spot against stone flooring and managed to make a nice transition without the ugly brass strip. On Wednesday we had a crew of 4 men (Crew2) installing carpet. They installed the whole house in one day, working until 8:30pm to do so. This is a house we were trying to get on the market so their efficiency was appreciated. Sheldon even returned the vinyl and the incorrect quarter round to Home Depot.

Scheduled project through Home Depot. Measuring guy came out and said there should not be any issues doing the job. After buying all the material, picking up all the laminate, and scheduling the crew I received a call an hour later that the guys left and could not do the job based on sloping of the floor. Knowing the slope of the floor was very minimal I got a second opinion, and will now have the job done by another contractor. Not sure if Home Depot under bid the job, but I get the impression that the crew just didn't want to deal with the install as there were radiators and lots of angles in the hallway, etc..Home Depot has not offered any deal or other solution to rectify the job.

Very poor, unreliable communication by Rick Wendt ( sales person of Crew 2)--he remarkably ignored almost all our phone calls and emails. HD charged 19K before the project start date ( about a month ago). On the promise that the bathroom will be remodeled we had all the parts/items ordered/stored in our bedrooms which are now in complete mess. After more than a month of delays, they decided not to continue citing at the very last moment inability to do a very minor structural modification and requiring us to hire an outside contractor, which was not per the terms of the contract. We had no choice/ forced as to cancel the contract with no compensation offered.

We were told the work would be completed in 3 - 4 weeks, which it was. The quality of the work is very good, and all installers (tile, electrical and plumbing) were both punctual and professional. We noted two minor problems after project completion, and when we notified the Crew2 project manager he insured the problem was addressed immediately. I will work with Crew2 for future home repair projects.

$3000 is only an estimate/guess. It was a part of a larger $20,000 project that was contracted. Home Depot and US Remodelers was the main point of contact for this job. However, because of their dismal communication and organization, I ended up having to contact and work with Crew2 quite a bit. Because the entire project was disorganized, it was difficult because I didn't even have an actual contact person with Crew2. Let me be clear that as many complaints I have about Crew2, that there were some items listed below which could have been the fault of Home Depot/US Remodelers (mainly as it pertains to scheduling and reminder phone calls). Scheduled Day #1. 7/28. Husband stayed home from work to meet the installer. We are told between 8am - 10am arrival time (that seems to be the standard). By 11am, he's on the phone with me, and we are both one the phone with our Home Depot contacts trying to figure out why no one was here yet. A little after noon, we are told "no one is coming". I emphasize with my Home Depot contact that neither of us will be taking off work again and that they had their chance. Scheduled Day #2. 8/23 (Saturday). 8am - 10am arrival time. I actually called several of my Home Depot contacts last night (by this time they have checked out of this project) trying to absolutely confirm someone was coming. We are told "yes, they are coming tomorrow". Around 12 noon, we get our first phone call from John from Crew2. (At this point, I still wasn't aware that Crew2 was actually doing the work). They can't find the backsplash tile. They are going store-to-store (he had been to about 5 at that point) and not one has enough tile in stock. They are going to keep looking. (If they didn't have the tile in hand, why are they making appointments to come install?) At 3pm, I am told a few stores more and they had found it. It is too late to start that day and they would see me tomorrow morning. I do ask them if they can give me a more exact arrival time. I mean, they now know where the tile is and where they are starting from. I am told 8:30am. Scheduled Day #3. 8/24 (Sunday) 8:20am. I receive a call from John from Crew2. They are in the store getting the tile, but it is taking longer than anticipated. 9:30am. I receive a call from someone named Chris. He apologizes profusely and tells me there was an emergency last night and the installer is not coming today. Now I'm being lied to. I bring this up, but it is never addressed in the conversation. A new date is selected (thankfully, I am home for a few weeks and a weekday now works). Scheduled Day #4. 8/27. Scheduled arrival time is 8am to 10am. At 10:30am, the installer finally shows up. He says he has my tile. I ask him does he have the tile for both the bathroom and the kitchen. He says he knows nothing about the bathroom and is planning the kitchen only. I'm upset again. After all this waiting, now they don't even know what this project is supposed to be installing. I walk through the kitchen with him and discuss what goes where. He brings in the tile - it is the bathroom tile. I ask him if he is aware that the tile he has is not the kitchen tile. He didn't. Change of plans - now he is installing the bathroom. I'm back on the phone with Chris who tells me it is extremely difficult to locate the tile I want in the kitchen. I ask why that's my problem since I ordered this installation in mid-May and now it is late-August. They locate the tile (the same store it was located at last Saturday...no one apparently communicated that it had already been found). I'm told they will buy it and bring it to the house so the installer can keep going on the installation when he is done the bathroom. I tell the installer - he hasn't been told any of this. As far as he is concerned, he is done when the bathroom is done. He leaves at 2:30pm. The tile arrives at 2:50pm. I tell the delivery guy that the installer is gone. He seems surprised. The last straw came when I looked at the tile that was delivered. It wasn't the same as the tile I saw when I bought it. I checked all my records and the name was right, but it didn't look the same. I definitely bought backsplash with brown undertones. This was silver/clear/white. I did a web search and saw several installations. Some looked brown, some looked like the tile I had in hand. Now we apparently have a lot-to-lot variation problem (not Crew2's fault). But I'm frustrated beyond belief. I now go back to the people I originally contracted this whole thing through. I write up a very long e-mail with everything that has happened and send it to my project manager, a customer service rep and someone who was on a past communication who seemed a little higher up in the organization. Now I finally get results. I'm told to go pick a new backsplash, pick a date, and they'll make it happen. He is now apparently communicating with a Crew2 VP (or so I'm told) and they'll make sure it is done. Scheduled Day #5: Installer comes at 9am. Same guy as before. He installs the backsplash. It is an ok job...a few issues here and there, but nothing major. He leaves in the afternoon and finally, my job is done. I am given a follow-up call just to make sure it all went ok. Again, this job was not 100% Crew2, but they were the subcontractor hired to do the installation. I found that the communication could have been better. Left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing at times. And having to schedule 5 separate dates to get this done is ridiculous (as well as no-shows). I heard a few times "you don't need to hear the details of all that", but in honestly, if someone had shared details, perhaps I would have been a little more understanding. At the end of it all, I am still unsure who was really in charge of what and why things got as messed up as they did.

They were great. The last person who worked on my house did some sort of messed up work on the door in question but the Crew2 guys were great. They helped me determine which doors were good options for the situation without having to custom order a door. On the day of installation they arrived on time and were professional and courteous. The door looks great and the installer provided helpful advice for how to take care of the door in the future.

The removal of the old flooring and shower unit went well as did the installation of the tile on the floor and the shower. Then there was confusion as to who was to measure and install the glass for the shower. After we made a few phone calls, the salesman came out and measured and then part of the work crew came out and measured. We were told the glass was ordered. Again after much delay and our phone calls, we were told that the company from which they ordered the glass was closed until after the first of the year. Finally, we were told the glass would soon be in. More waiting. Finally they came out with the glass pieces. After a few minutes of working, we were told that one piece of the glass had been cut wrong and would have to be reordered. The work crew told us that no matter what job they were on, as soon as the glass came in, they would come back and install it. After hearing nothing from them for a few weeks, we kept calling and were told each time by the "lady" in charge of scheduling the work crew, that she was just getting ready to call us. Some time she would say that we were next on her list to call. When the glass finally came in, she said that as soon as she could reschedule the work crew, they would be back to install the glass. A different member of their team came back to install the glass. He installed the door with a lot of slant to it. When I questioned him about it, he said that was the best he could do. He left and a few days later, the crew that had installed the tiles came back to do some work. After they saw the door, they stated that that was not right and they would correct it. Then they said they found that there was no studs behind the hinges for the door and it would not last more than a year. This was the same crew that had cut away the original drywall prior to installing the water-proof drywall and ceramic tile. They took down the new glass door and cut away some of the drywall to add studs behind the glass door hinges. After they had installed the new drywall and compound they left while waiting for the compound to dry. I went into the bathroom to see what had been accomplished and noticed small shards of glass on the floor. After further inspection, I noticed the glass door had been chipped on one side. No one had reported any damage. I guess they were hoping it would not be noticed until they had finished. The next day the boss of the work crew came to do some work and I showed him what had happened. They ordered a new glass door which meant more waiting. During the short time we were able to use the shower, we noticed the water pooled in one corner of the shower. They said they could correct that situation with the replacement of a couple of tile. They ended up replacing 20 tile in the floor of the shower. It still pools. The door is now straight, we are now using our shower and there is no way we are going to have them come back out to try and correct anything. We only had to wait almost four months for them to finish a project that we were told would take seven days. Since we had to pay the full amount for the job before they started, we felt we had to keep our complaints down to make sure they would even come back to finish. We would NEVER recommend them for ANY type of work!!! The material was purchased through Home Depot, for which we have no regrets. They contacted Crew 2 to do the work, expecting them to do it in a professional manner. That didn't happen. Home Depot helped us to get Crew 2 back to doing their job.
Description of Work: Replaced the cushion-vinyl flooring in our Master bathroom with ceramic tile with a heating element under it and removed the shower and redid it in ceramic tile, replaced the commode and the exhaust fan and light assembly. Excellent job. Two guys arrived on time, despite a snow storm and the fact they were coming from 80 miles away. Professional, quick and knowledgeable. One stock fire door was installed and a front entry door with sidelight. My only gripe (and not with Crew2) is the cost. $1500 for the installation and they were in and out in 90 min. The install quote was based on a 5 hour installation. Either way it's the "going rate" for door installation but still is high. Don't hesitate to use them through Home Depot.

Communication and scheduling with Crew 2 were very troublesome, and their response to my subsequent communications has been very poor: Crew 2 will only schedule installation after receiving the carpet from Home Depot, and would only give a 3 hour window for arrival of the installers - noon to 3 PM in my case. 3 PM seemed late in the day to begin a major installation project, so I questioned the representative who called about how long it would take to complete the project. She said the project might take 2 hours to complete. The installers were in fact on site for almost 5 hours - until 8 PM - while I went without dinner, kept family waiting, and lost communication as my cell phone batteries ran out. Had they provided accurate information about the schedule, I could have prepared myself and others for this extended evening installation. When I later tried to communicate with Crew 2 about schedule and clean up concerns (they'd left carpet fibers and debris throughout other areas of my home), I was unable to get a return call in response to 2 voice mails left with their "Inservice Hotline", or with the Crew 2 "Quality Manager" who had stopped at my home prior to the install. After contacting Home Depot, their district manager put me in touch with a local "Production Manager" who did arrange for the crew to return to clean up the debris. However, her response to my concerns about inaccurate information regarding scheduling was simply to repeatedly explain how they handle scheduling, and blame outside factors such as "traffic" for delays that occur. When I asked additional questions, she hung up on me! I later heard back from a man who identified himself as a regional "Director" who was more respectful and apologetic, but I have not yet received the return call he promised. I also learned in the course of my contacts with this organization that the individuals who come to your home are not their employees, but are legally "independent contractors" who are paid by the quantity of carpet they install. Home Depot advertises installation for only $47 dollars. I guess you get what you pay for.
Description of Work: Crew 2 installed carpet purchased at Home Depot.

This job was performed extremely well. The installer (Darry) was very professional and knew what he was doing. There was an issue with damage to the new front door that was delivered, they contacted the retail establishment I purchased from and started the processs of having a new door delivered. I did not have to inject myself in the process at all and was informed by the retailer when to expect delivery of the new door. If everyone from Crew2 is this good and professional, I would recommend this company to perform work on your home too. Update: The new door slab was installed today and crew2 (Mark) did an excellent prompt job. They arrived even before their estimate and completed the job in less that 45 minutes. Look forward to the next time we have to work together.
Description of Work: Replace the door slab from the original to a new one as the original was damaged upon receipt.

It was good. That was an excellent remodel project. I really like the people I interactive with. They are incredibly punctual. Very direct getting what we needed when we needed it. Great communication and I thought that they were on top of things all the way through. The did process? One of the reason they did not go was because they were not do the piece of work what we wanted them to do.
Description of Work: I used Crew2 for kitchen and family room remodeling.

We worked with multiple contractors throughout the remodel of the house (several other projects going simultaneously). Crew2 was absolutely the worst experience we ever had, which was VERY unexpected. We were used to hearing horror stories about private contractors. These people are used by Home Depot, which is a big box. They're supposed to be held accountable. These things never should have happened. We now wish we would have gone with a private contractor instead. It took months for them to start the project. As the process progressed, there was a constant failure to communicate the status of issues and lack of responsiveness. we never knew what was going on. They didn't follow the calendar they had provided, eventually just doing things whenever they pleased. Here are the many things that went wrong: Destruction of molding to door frame. They chipped it so badly that is was unbelievable. We were told that we would have to find someone else to repair it. Improper installation of flooring. Their were huge gaps between the new floor and the actual cabinets. You could actually SEE the old flooring underneath. We had to call them and make them come out and look at it. They did repair most of it, though there is still a gap between the entry way and back exit that they did not fix. Improper measurements and installation of cabinets. The freezer door wouldn't open from the bottom. They just left it as was until we called them and asked them to fix it. Failure to repair the stucco on the exterior of of the house after window replacement. We're STILL waiting, despite contacting the project manager over a month ago, who reassured us that it was going to happen in a few weeks. This was typical with Crew2... Lot's of talk with no action. We finally had to escalate our concerns to Home Depot before we could get anywhere. The insulation where the stucco is supposed to be has been sitting exposed to the elements all winter and the first part of spring. Still no response back from Crew 2 as to whether or not they're going to bother to finish the job we paid for. Broken doorbell. They just left the case off of it as well, assuming we wouldn't see it because it was above the cabinets. They are AWFUL. I just want them to come in, finish the work, and be done with them. The experience has been absolutely appalling.
Description of Work: Crew2 was contracted through Home Depot to coordinate the remodel of our kitchen. The house is about 90 years old and required some extensive updating. The remodel included initial demolition of old kitchen, removal/switch of two windows and stucco repair to exterior, new cabinets, new flooring, new plumbing, placement of a new wall and door frame, electric, and appliance installation.

Very please with the Service from this company, there were a couple of scratches from rolling out the carpet so I would suggest expressing your concerns before the bring the carpet into the house.
Description of Work: I received several quotes from Luna, The Home Depot and another private party carpet dealer, but as far as price and quality goes I went with the Home Depot. The $99 installation is pretty hard to beat and the price per Sq. Ft. with Pad was a lot cheaper than my other estimates and as far as I'm concerned the product was much nicer. I will be going back to The Home Depot for my next carpet purchase.

I have had them come twice because they were the company my carpet insurance recommended. The first time the gentleman scraped the wall because he drug a long large hose from the outside down to the basement and it wrapped around the wall and I had to touch up paint. The second time I had a better experience. It was Chemdry but a different group. The cleaning was free because of a program I bought was my carpet. I won't have them come again. The service was free but I did pay for the stairs and it was $100.

The last time they were out I was not pleased. The person did not come with any scotch guard. I was told that I should do it myself and he did not think it was a big deal. I was not very happy with the service overall.
