Description of Work: I initially voiced concern in January about an acrid smell from the firebox when it rains or is foggy outside (without a fire), and there were loose, shifting bricks in the back of the firebox. Victor said a good cleaning (after 35 years) would probably address the smell that made my eyes water. They cleaned the chimney with a rotating brush but forgot to fix the bricks. When I called him back he cheerfully fixed the bricks and said the resin smell cannot be removed without toxic chemicals. If you want standard brushing/vacuuming and a little tuck pointing, Victor is fine.

Description of Work: I have used Copperfield Chimney in the past and were happy with their services. I now have a leak in the basement right below the fireplace that is coming from the fireplace ash door. I called Copperfield to see if they can do an inspection and tell me the entrance point of the water and help me with the repair. I just called them and told them that water is coming in in the basement and as soon as he heard this he told me "he doesn't work with leaks" and hung up on me. This is unprofessional and very rude. I will never call them ever again.
