Victor came to our house to clean our two fireplaces and chimney. He was on-time, very professional, and didn't leave a speck of ashes outside of the fireplaces.

Victor Skelley is a skilled, seasoned professional and I've hired him for my own home and two investment properties that I've renovated. He is reasonable and won't try to impress you with a fancy camera to diagnose the issues in your chimney. His guys never leave a mess in the rest of the room to clean up. I highly recommend him.

They did a good job, no complaints. I was impressed because they were good about explaining how often this needed to be done. It was less often than I expected. They weren't trying to get us to use it more often than we needed.

Efficient, professional and competent.

I called him to have him check and clean our chimney in a house we just moved into. I told him we had been having some smoke with the use of the fireplace. He knew why right away with the cap we had on the chimney on the roof. He cleaned the chimney, replaced the cap with one that would give us a better draw, to keep the smoke going in the right direction. Used a clean drop cloth in my living room. He was gone in an hour or less, two guys; Victor is the owner. He was very knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently, more that willing to explain it all to me as he worked. His climbing to the roof to change the cap was a task. Good natured and stressed I should call if I want them to replace the old cap, and he left it with me. Good experience all around. Very clean, removing their shoes inside.Fireplace works like a charm now and I can rest assured we are safe too.

He did not clean out the ashes and now we have to do it. He did a good job at repairing the chimney and all that. The price was fine and he was professional. He was fast and he gave me a lot of history on the area and the chimney was the original. He was very knowledgeable.

Victor never fails to deliver, always going above and beyond. Not only did he review the best way to light each of my three fireplaces (explaining which direction they vented, checking draft/air flow, making sure the vents, hardware, and front panels were in good working order), but also visited with me about airflow through the entire house. It turned out the cold air vent in the laundry room was positioned wrong---after following his suggestion to pull it up and out of the sheet metal "floor box," air flow through the entire house is better, with heat distributing more evenly in the lower level rooms. This guy's the real deal, folks. He knows more about the science of flame and heat that anyone around, only made better by the level of professionalism and passion he brings to the table. Everything was ship-shape when he and his assistant were finished, including removal of some smoke marks just above the living room fireplace insert. Wouldn't dream of letting anyone else near my fireplaces...ever.

Victor and his assistant arrived on time and gave my chimney a sweep, full inspection, two new critter guards / flue screens and a clean bill of health. Victor was very helpful in teaching me about using and maintaining my fireplace and helped restore my faith in humanity after the first chimney sweep I hired (Top Line Chimney) told me my chimney was a disaster waiting to happen and needed to be rebuilt. I only wish there were more honest, enthusiastic and hard working people like Victor in the world. I can't recommend his business highly enough.

He explained everything very clearly and was really patient with me. We will be calling him back next fall for another inspection. We were really happy with how everything went down and 2 years later we are really enjoying our fireplace.

Victor and his assistant were on time, they did a great job, and their price was very reasonable. He knows his stuff, no doubt about it. We had initially gone to another company and they didn't actually clean the fireplace, even though that is what we had paid them to do. Victor had come to fix the floor of the fireplace and he also cleaned it for not much more. I was relieved to have his help! And he was in and out in an hour, and left our house super clean.

The owner, Vic, was prompt, friendly, and efficient. He did a great job cleaning the fireplace, fixed the intake vent and did some minor brick repair for no additional charge. By far this was the best service I've ever had on my fireplace.

Vic showed up on time with a helper, had the chimney swept, a clog in our ash trap removed, and installed a cap in under 45 minutes. His was helpful and friendly, and will have him come out to sweep our chimney again.

Being new to the wood burning fireplace realm as I am, Victor explained all facets of use and care of my fireplace. He suggested a chimney cap (I had none) and was able to find the proper fit and place it that day. He and his assistant did an excellent job and made a very messy job cleaner and neater than I could have ever imagined. Great Service!!

I called Copperfield Chimney Sweeps in early November. They gave me an appointment for Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, between 11 a.m. and noon. On the Friday before the appointment, they gave me a reminder call. On Monday, they showed up a few minutes before 11 a.m. and proceeded to do the cleaning. They were quite meticulous about using tarps and plastic to avoid any ash and dust issues. Victor showed me a stainless steel chimney cap that he recommended and I agreed that was what I needed. He installed the cap and also caulked - for no additional charge - the second (dummy) flue that had developed some cracks. When they left, you couldn't tell that they had been here except that the chimney was cleaner and that we now have a nice looking cap on the chimney. The chimney cap looks great and I'm sure it will keep the critters out. I look forward to many years of service from it.

Almost a year ago, Vincent replaced the chimney cap on my furnace chimney because the old one had become detached and couldn't have been protecting the chimney from weather or critters. I was very happy with his work then. Recently, I noticed that the "new" one he had installed was bent way over. I called and asked that he check it out. A couple of days later, he called and said that he had been up there, straightened out the cap and had added some straps to help keep it in place. I had expected to pay for his time but he left me a voice message explaining what he had done and that it was no charge. He's a great guy who takes pride in his work and has wonderful customer service.

Called and made an appointment about two weeks out. They arrive on time and do a great job.

We still had smoke coming in and called him back and he came out and put longer caps on our upstairs chimney to solve the problem. They are so friendly and always available.

I called for an appointment, and was scheduled within 2 weeks. Also got a appt confirmation call the day before. Vic Skelly (owner/operator) arrived right on time and explained what they were going to do. They were careful about moving furniture and using drop cloths for work site. Vic explained what he was doing, and provided some great advice. He removed an old antenna on the roof at no expense (it was ugly & unnecessary, and I've wanted it removed). Also, the chain for the chiminator had snapped. Upon inspection, it had been installed on the wrong side of the fireplace, which put strain on the chain and caused the breakage. Further, with my fireplace/damper setup, the chiminator was completely unnecessary and in fact prevented optimum airflow and operation. Vic explained that the fireplace would burn much cleaner without the chiminator, and offered to replace it with the highest quality, stainless steel screen and remove the chiminator free of charge. The buildup in the chimney was the equivalent to burning 4-5 cords of wood. Since I had burned less than a cord in the last 2 years, I was glad I hired an expert such as Vic instead of another go-round with one of those duct cleaning services who supposedly also cleaned my chimney 2 yrs ago. In addition, Vic showed me where the ash box door was located in the basement. The reason I didn't know was that a wardrobe was in front of it (left as extra storage by previous owners). Well, the recommendation is to have nothing within 16 inches of the ash box, so was glad that Vic was here -- the last biz I hired obviously didn't see or inspect the ash box. When I asked about when to clean next, he said after about 4 cords of wood. I really appreciated the advice, since some of the duct cleaning biz's recommend more frequent, probably unnecessary cleaning not based on actual usage. Great service from someone who really knows his craft and is enthusiastic about doing things the right way.

Great service on all fronts. And I'd also add that Victor brings an enthusiasm to fireplaces, chimneys and wood-burning stoves that is difficult to imagine. He came in the door extolling the virtues of our tall chimney ("Oh, this one is going to work like a charm!") and our flue-to-fireplace ratio ("Down to the inch!"). Add to the fact that he reminded me of the actor J.K. Simmons and you have one happy customer. I'd call him again in a heartbeat.

Came on the date and at the time requested. Got clear explanations of what needed to be done. Made suggestions regarding masonry repair and offered to do it as part of the job. Completed work promptly and with excellent quality. I paid the agreed price. I would highly recommend
