Victor (and his silent partner) were great, very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were doing and what they found. I found out technical things about my chimney and fireplace that I never knew before!

I called to set up an appointment to have our chimney cleaned. Unfortunately, they were booked out a couple of weeks and we needed it done promptly for a gas fireplace installation. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant, however.

It went great. They were timely, professional, and cleaned up so well it was as if they were never there.

We had a number of issues with the fireplace on a home we were purchasing. Victor came to give us an estimate on the damages. He charged $75 for the inspection, but told us he would credit that amount toward the work if we elected to have it done. Victor was extremely professional and knowledgeable about all areas of repair that were required. After we purchased our home we arranged for Victor to complete the work approx 1 month later. 2 days before they were scheduled to start, Victor and his crew came by the house to determine which ladders and tools they needed to bring so that they were prepared. My husband was in the hospital at the time and my mother was here to work with them and couldn't say enough about Victor's professionalism. He walked her through all of the repairs in detail so she could relay them to us, gave suggestions for future care and even offered kind words for my husband. We had a great experience and recommend him to others.

Very professional. Gave us plenty of information for us to use and did a very good job. I am very happy with this service and would highly recommend tis company. It gave me a warm cozy feeling to know that this work was done and we could now use our fireplaces. We moved into the house over 20 years ago, and never knew the condition since the disclosure sheet was checked an "unknown". For the amount of stuff that came out of the chimney, they cleaned up so well that one would wish they could do regular house cleaning.

Victor was very friendly, helpful and informative. We have had trouble with smoke coming in the house while a fire is lit so he checked and went over everything that could be causing that. He also gave us some ways we could help prevent it. He really seemed to know chimneys and was very clean and neat when doing the job. Cost was very reasonable for all he did.

They were quick and professional, and did a very complete job from setup to clean-up. Additionally, Victor lucidly illustrated various aspects of chimney and hearth design, and educated us on the best practices for fireplace use and maintenance. We're no longer using our chimney after putting in a direct-vent heating system. Victor was extremely enthusiastic about his work. He talked me out of a much more expensive and less-wise option (chimney removal). He showed up precisely at the time scheduled. It took him an hour to do the work, and he cleaned up thoroughly. He gave me a full report on the condition/stability of the chimney after sealing it. The only surprise was that he had broadly applied the mortar to the sides of the chimney as a less-costly alternative to tuck pointing. The old-fashioned bricks have disappeared behind the coat of mortar, but that's not a problem for us, since no one can really see it (it's 2.5 stories up and mostly hidden behind gables). Just didn't know it was coming. I probably wouldn't have done it differently, but would've had an opportunity to ask questions before the work proceeded. Victor did talk me through applying an exterior coat of colored stucco should I ever want to neaten it up.

They were very responsive on the phone and I got the information I needed and found them to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I received a call to confirm appointment in advance and they arrived right on schedule. The work was done very quickly. I was worried the cleaning would send dust/residue into the house but there wasn't a trace. It was very easy to work with Victor and he spent time explaining things to me and making suggestions for fireplace operation. The project cost a bit more than estimated due to the fact that I needed two chimney caps, not one as I had thought. This was a great experience and I will absolutely call them next time I need a cleaning.

He did an incredible job. He arrived early, had a helper to complete the work fast. He also offered to put in a cover around the open vent ($20) and sealed down the ash tray along with putting in a fireplace brick weight. All no extra charge.

Victor was very responsive and accommodating, as we had to cancel the job twice because of the heavy rain.

Victor came on time, inspected and cleaned the fireplace, and discovered (where 2 inspectors had failed to notice before we purchased the house this spring), that the damper plate on our furnace had been removed. He suggested a Chim-i-lator as a good solution to the problem since it would keep energy from escaping up the chimney and prevent pests from coming in. He also replaced the clean out door for the fireplace, since it was hanging on 1 hinge, to prevent hot coals that may come down from dropping out onto the floor. He was very personable, cleaned up after himself, and didn't push the product; I felt like he would only have suggested it as a good solution, not as a shill for the product. He showed me how the product worked, and how to adjust if it needed, as well as explaining the basics of the fireplace to a first-time owner of one. I plan to use him in the future, and was very pleased with the work he did. Highly recommended.

Victor was on time and took care to cover the floor and furniture near the fireplace. He did a great job of explaining the science of fireplaces. The chimney cap placed on top many years ago was causing back-draft and soot build-up when we had a fire. He replaced the cap with flue screens that won't impede the draft. Victor was friendly and talkative.

Vic was very nice. On time. I noticed in these comments that he sells a lot of screens to animal proof the houses which I bought also. May be his common up sell item.

I trust this man's judgment, and he did very good work. He was clean, but there was a mix-up with the payment. He made it very clear to me that he was very unhappy with my wanting to use a debit card instead of a check. He did not have a very good attitude, but overall this was a good experience. He didn't even charge for the second chimney which ended up not needing work. He does request checks, so this was my fault but I would have appreciated more courtesy.

Victor promptly returned my call and scheduled an appointment. He worked quickly, was extremely knowledgeable about maintenance, and did a great job.

I called Copperfield and was able to quickly set up an appointment to have my chimney cleaned. Victor showed up exactly on time and explained to me what he was going to be doing. He cleaned the chimney and was very careful to lay down tarps to protect my floor and the furniture. He also took the time to clean the stone face of the fireplace for me and the place was spotless when he left. Victor also identified the need to add caps to the top of my chimney to keep animals out and installed them on the same visit. Victor was incredibly pleasant to work with and the service from start to finish couldn't have been better.

Victor was a gem to work with. He was polite, courteous, and most importantly, very knowledgeable. As he did his inspection he explained things to me in detail and told me what was good/bad about my fireplace. He made sure to keep things tidy when he was working and he gave good recommendations for things that I should look out for or fix myself. For instance, there were some cracks in my chimney and when I asked him whether or not those needed to be repaired by a stucco professional, he scoffed and said that I could easily do it myself and explained how. Overall, I would highly recommend Victor. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very trustworthy.
