Copperfield Chimney Sweeps & Repair

Victor and his partner arrived on-time. He inspected the fireplace and chimney from three levels including the basement, ground, and rooftop, while his partner worked ground level cleaning the interior of the chimney. Finished quickly and no mess was made. Victor was helpful explaining my entire chimney system including future recommendations.

Victor, the owner, answered the phone himself and was able to schedule us within 24 hours, between two other jobs in our neighborhood. They arrived right in the middle of the 1.5 hour window we agreed on and were done within a half hour. They worked quickly, but not rushed. Victor is very personable and good-natured. He expressed a seasoned veteran's confidence and was able to answer any questions I had. He also gave me a primer on the workings of a flue chimney. They have a well organized truck full of gear and appear ready to do just about any work on your chimney.

All went well. I had never heard of Copperfield, but since I saw many positive reviews for Copperfield on Angie's List, I called for an appointment and they told me the price for the service, which was lower than another good competitor that I had used in the past. I informed them that I was having tile work being done in kitchen, so I asked them if it would be a problem to go around the back, through the yard and up the deck w/ their equipment. They said no problem. :) Victor arrived on time as scheduled and promptly cleaned the fireplace and explained fireplace operations to me-learned some things I didn't know! He checked my chimney "cage" that keeps critters out of my chimney and said I had the right thing up there. :) Prompt, efficient, no mess left behind. Very well. Victor is extremely knowledgeable (30 years of work in this area). He is super clean and always on-time. Today I had a 8:30 a.m. appointment and he was there at 8:20 a.m. He drapes the furniture with drop clothes and covers the hearth with plastic and uses a large shop vac with his assistant while Victor is on the roof cleaning from above. Victor is an exceptional person, very honest and I would use him again. I last used his services 3 years ago. He told me to call him again in 3 years or after I have burned 2 cords of wood.

I needed a job done ASAP and was able to get them to come the next day (due to a cancellation). The team was punctual and efficient. Whenever additional work or repair was needed they asked me and let me decide which option to choose. I was very pleased with the experience.

1-He answered his phone. 2-He showed up when he said he would. 3-They gave us a courtesy call as a reminder the day before. 4-He arrived punctually and took care of business efficiently. 5-He was very personable and friendly.

Victor said that it was a minor crack that could be resolved with a silicone sealant and he could do the same with the cap to prevent water getting into the chimney. He got to work and completed it quickly. They also filled some mortar holes. As always, they were prompt, informative and fabulous. I wouldn't call or trust anyone else with my chimney service.

The owner, Victor, was the individual who performed the services. We were very impressed with his professionalism and thorough analysis of our fireplace. We sought these services as part of our inspection process for the purchase of our new home. Seeing that this is our 1st home, Victor went the extra-mile to explain in detail how all of the components in the fireplace operate & how to efficiently run it. Victor was impressed with quality of craftsmanship with our fireplace, which eased any of our concerns.

He was fantastic. He came very fast, he was very prompt, he came out on his birthday, he spent a bunch of time on checking our chimney. They were very good.

They were very knowledgeable, they gave us a lot of good information. They were very respectful about being in our home. I would use them again and I would recommend them to others.

I called to set an appt which I got for a few days later. They came on time, introduced themselves and went straight to work. Victor's assistant comes off a bit "crabby"(not to me, the customer), but man is he a good worker. Victor and he worked together as a team very well. They put down a sheet and plastic to make sure my living room didn't get dirty (which it didn't). They did the job - drop some fireplace knowledge on me - and left. It was very quick, easy and thorough. Victor also showed me his badge and certification. I would recommend them again.

The service was excellent. They were hired to clean and they made some repairs. The work area was kept clean and did not disrupt our home in the least. They were wonderful. To add to the experience, the price was right as well.

He was really good. He explained what he was doing while he was doing it. He even showed me how to do some of the work so I could do it myself in the future. I would recommend him to others.

Excellent - here for under an hour and got the problem diagnosed and fixed.

He got everything flowing again, removing major load of debris. He also took the extra step of putting screws in the gutters to hold them in place.

The workers explained what he was going to do. They were there for about an hour. They were very clean. I couldn t tell that they were even there. He explained to us what should be done. I have learned lot about of my fireplace. I was very pleased with them.

They came in and cleaned our living room chimney that hadn't been cleaned in about two years. They were great, they were good to not make a mess, and were very clean and friendly.

They were very thorough. I have had the chimney cleaned before but they had a large vacuum and spent at least 45 minutes cleaning. They put up plastic to the rest of the house was protected from any ashes.

Everything was perfect. They were very careful and cleaned up after themselves.

He was very friendly when he was working at my house. He was very professional about the job. He always showed up on time to do the work and never tryed to sale anything to me at all.

Vic was great! He came right at the time I was expecting him with a helper. I was concerned because I saw water coming in at the bottom of the furnace chimney in the basement. He said that can be normal. When he got up on the roof and inspected the old chimney cap and what was inside, he explained what needed to be done and why. I felt he did an excellent job and I think it was a fair price.

He arrived on time to do the job. He was very professional while he was working. He cleaned up after himself. I would use him in the future. The quality of his work was good.

These gentlemen were on time, clean, polite, and efficient. This was not a routine cleaning and they took the time to examine our three fireplaces, cleaned them top to bottom, bricked over an ash disposal grate, and repaired a damper that had been inoperative for 17 years. In the past, we received estimates for the repair anywhere between $500 and $1000 and Copperfield fixed it with a bolt. Gotta love em!

They were very thorough and very professional. They were just really nice people. They were also very prompt. We would absolutely use them again for future service.
