Copperfield Chimney Sweeps & Repair

I am a real estate agent and I refer Victor frequently to my buyers and sellers in need of a chimney inspection and/or cleaning. Victor is always on time, always professional, very knowledgeable. He knows everything about chimneys and fireplaces! He always gives my clients good advice. He leaves the place clean when he's done. I can't say enough good things about Victor. My most recent experience with a chimney cleaning/inspection was late summer. My buyers wanted the fireplace cleaned and inspected before closing. They were very pleased with Victor's work, his price and his excellent advice.

Vic showed up on time with-in the appointment window specified. He and his employee swept the chimney and fireplace in the amount of time he stated the job would take, 45 minutes. He provided basic and solid advice on how to improve fireplaces function without spending more money and options if the performance did not improve with general cost information. Overall the service Vic and staff provided was excellent.

They were ahead of schedule and showed up 15 minutes early. Vic and a co-worker brought in a cloth to keep everything clean. One worked from the bottom in the house, while the other cleaned from the top of the chimney down. We have lived in the house for five years and haven't had it done prior to this. They said it was dirty and should be done after burning 3 cords of wood. The process took around 30 minutes. They were fast, friendly and clean. I would recommend them.

The owner came out to perform the work himself. The work went really well at a reasonable cost. He finished the job quickly, I was quite impressed.

Liked owner operator very much. He cares about what he does, took great care of us and left everything perfectly clean. Excellent.

I had been told last year that my fireplace needed a new liner and obtained a second opinion with Victor. Seems that wasn't the case and I'm so happy with the work done!

As a lot of folks who have used Copperfield know, Vic is quite the character! He probably knows more about fireplaces, chimneys, masonry repair, fire codes, and who knows what, than anyone in the business. He provided a detailed analysis of the guts of my fireplace. I actually enjoyed learning more about this important structure (that we all take for granted) than I ever wanted to know :-) Vic and his team did a surgically clean job. Was really pleased with the advice to seal off the ash chute which previously exited thru a wooden (!) wall in the basement. Total time on the job was minimal...even with pouring rain outside. Can't remember a better experience with any service company.

They were right on time. Two individuals showed up. One explained what they would do and and provide a lot of information. As one was cleaning the chimney the other person put the caps on and installed the damper pulls. Being a new home owner I asked a lot of questions about chimneys and they were more than happy to answer all my questions.

Vic and his staff were friendly, prompt, thorough and professional. The cost of service was very reasonable, and I highly recommend this company.

The crew was substantially later than expected because a previous job took much longer than expected. They did call when they were on their way, but that call itself was already the window of when they were supposed to arrive. They were very nice at arrival and apologized -- and offered a substantial discount on the price of installing the screen on top of the chimney. Very clean job done, and good advice given about burning in the fireplace generally and about when the right time for the cleaning would be. I was happy overall even though they were late.

He has done a great job. When we moved into our new house, the inspector told us that it was dangerous and we would have to replace the entire chimney before we could use it. Victor came in, cleaned it and made some repairs, and we have been able to use it every winter. He is always very professional and reasonably priced. He has been very reliable, and we have been quite happy with him.

Very punctual and professional, with good attention to detail and thorough clean-up.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. And, very educational. Not only does he clean the fireplaces and chimneys and make repairs. He is an educator too. We learned a lot about the proper care (and feeding) of our fireplaces.

Vic showed up at my house on time for my appointment. He was extremely professional, very helpful with all kinds of tips and advice. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and he did things that weren't even a part of his job! While he was on my roof looking at my chimney he cleaned out one of my gutters!!! He sat down on my front steps and showed me step by step how to fix some broken brick in the base of my chimney for a reasonable price without having to pay someone an arm and a leg to do it. When he left the fireplace and chimney was perfect, he gave me expert advice on how to save money and keep my basement warmer and fixed a smoke problem I had been having when using my basement fireplace. He was fantastic!!

The job went well overall. The neat thing about it was that he was a veteran, and he could explain all sorts of things like how to clean the bricks. He had a lot of good advice and shared it, which I really liked. His experience was exceptional.

They were very responsive and efficient. They came on the next day after I called and finished the work in timely manner. However, they did not clean the mess properly after the work was done. I was happy with their quality of service and the price was very reasonable.

Very responsive to email inquiry, showed up promptly, clearly expert in the field, prices seem very fair, kept services simple and appropriate (not trying to sell more), communicates and educates very well.

Victor was extremely pleasant. He clearly took pride in his work. He made an effort to explain the work he had done and work he could do in the future if we were interested. He solved problems that were discoverd in the project without it greatly changing the price he quoted to us.

I called and spoke with the owner's wife who asked a number of questions about the situation. She was helpful and personable. I made the appointment. Victor, the owner, arrived on time. Immediately I could tell he cared about his work and his profession. He explained how a bat or other animal could get in. He explained the type of guard he uses unlike many other companies that don't cover the whole flu. He said the chimney was in good shape. All is solid. He also took time to draw a picture of how a bat could enter the open space on the chimney. Outstanding customer service, Excellent experience. It's a pleasure to be able to trust a service provider for quality work.

Excellent, On time, removed shoes, put down drop cloths, worked quickly and efficiently. My fireplace looks the best it has since installed.
