Tech was on time and knew what he was doing. Very impressed with the quality of work. No leaks at all on the first pass. Tested the whole system and told me how to maintain it.

I rated the quality as poor for the issue I have with it. Overall it seems a well built unit. The technology is pretty old - about the same as the one I bought 38 years ago except it's now made of plastic and has some computer controls.

We had an appointment scheduled for 3:00 pm on 3/7/09, Saturday. They didn't show or call.

Anthony Commers was very professional. He went over all the options. Did not pressure me to do anything. When they came to install, they were very clean, explained everything well, answered all my questions. Installer arrived when promised. I probably could have gotten the softener a little cheaper somewhere else, but it was well worth the little extra cost.

I spoke with Dave Hoon and he was very helpful, discussing both repair and replacement with me. I decided to go ahead with replacement and he offered options for sizes with no pressure to up-sell. I initially decided on the smaller unit but changed my mind before they were scheduled to come - no problem. They were very accommodating in scheduling, came and left on time. The young man (can't remember his name) was very pleasant, cleaned up when he was done and explained how things worked.

I was a little wary after the first salesman made a visit to our house. He was not thorough and didn't give me anything in writing. I knew that the salesman was "independent", so I decided to call the store location in Blaine to "verify" what the original salesman told me. I spoke with Dave Hoon, who was extremely helpful. He discussed my options with me and felt that he needed to come out and test my water again to make sure that the system the original salesman recommended was the right one for us. Even though we were quoted substantially less than the standard rates by the original salesman, Dave honored every last price that I said I was quoted (remember, I originally got nothing in writing). He was here on a Friday and we had the system installed the following Monday. So far, it's one of the best decisions we've made since moving into this house. The water isn't hard, the iron is gone and so is the nasty rotten egg smell! The installers were prompt, professional and courteous. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. A side note about the original salesman, he is an anomaly with Commers. If you call one of their locations, you will get a professional salesperson to come out and give you the information. I highly, highly recommend this company!

The work was performed in a timely manner. The repair person was on time and did a good job.

Commers (and Tony, who came out to give us the estimate and worked with us) were great. We are very happy with the filtration system and quality of our water, as well as the water softener that we installed at the same time.

I think it went very well. I liked that they were local and it was a fair price.

I had a softener installed by Commers in 1987. It was not drawing water from the brine tank. I had called a local company (not Commers) that charged me $85 to tell me what I already knew: it didn't work, but they could not (and would not) fix it. Instead, the serviceman spent a half hour in his van writing quotes for new equipment. A complete waste of money. I then bought a new softener from a home supply store. The following Saturday morning, just before I started to remove copper pipe with the propane torch, I decided I would try one more time to fix the older Commers softener. I removed what I thought was the defective part and visited another water softener store in the Twin Cities. The tech there wouldn't even bother to look to see if they stocked the parts, despite the fact that a tech there earlier assured me they had the parts if I would describe the softener. Again, a waste of my time, and poor service by another lazy technician. I then visited the Commers website and it mentioned that they stock parts for all of their equipment going 40 years back. Moreover, they mention selling parts and providing advice to "do-it-yourselfers." The following Monday, I visited Commers in Blaine. The receptionist dispatched "Mark." Mark sold me the parts I needed (and only those parts) and briefed me completely on the repair steps. I went home that night and I had that 21 year old softener running in 30 minutes! I am truly impressed with Mark and Commers service. I am completely sold. When I need new equipment, I will be buying a Commers system, because they truly service (for 21 years!) what they sell, even for a "do-it-yourselfer" trying to save some money. Now, that's service!

I visited the Minnetonka location and was treated very fairly. The process went through as explained. The final cost was the same as the estimate. Install was very professional and on-time.

So far our system is working, but we will eventually need to get the resin replaced and controls upgraded. Since this is the bulk of the system, it will be completely replaced. By whom, since Anthony won't call me, will probably be from another vendor - Hey Culligan Man? I have to say, even if Anthony did call me, I don't think I would be open to his help. Maybe if his brother, sister or father called me, then I would listen to them since we have not had any problem with their product. Ours is just getting older and needs some general servicing, which shouldn't be 1/2 of replacement costs for a resin exchange. Maybe his relative (Father?) that installed our unit, knows when it was installed and could provide information on our water softener system. So just beware, Anthony may call you, or may not. He may want to help you, or may not. This has been my experience. I believe they have a good product, so my issue is not with Commers, but Anthony.

Everything went great. Showed up on time and did a good job! Great response time. I walked into their showroom one day and they installed the next morning.

Great! I met Anthony at the State Fair, and I knew that when it was time to get a softener...he would be who I would call. We lucked out as they had some workers in our area the very next day - so we got on the schedule. Installation went very well and now we are enjoying our soft water. Everything went very smoothly.

I stopped at their location and talked with Robert. I told them we knew nothing about softeners and he explained and then answered all our questions. We were pleased with him and their product. A week later they installed the system. The person who did the installing knew what he was doing, did a excellent job, and cleaned up afterwords. It was a very good experience and we would recommend them to others.

Very pleased with service. They were able to install new unit the day after I called. New unit works well.

They did a beautiful job. They were very nice and professional, and couldn't have been better.

The salesman, Dale, was very knowledgeable. The installer was on time and completed the job quickly.

RENE WAS VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH. IF SHE WASN'T SURE OF AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION, SHE TOOK THE TIME TO FIND OUT RIGHT AWAY. THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE PURCHASE CONTRACT AND A MISCOMMUNICATION REGARDING THEIR CREDIT PLAN. THE INSTALLING PEOPLE DID NOT CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND WHEN I CALLED THE HOME OFFICE, THEY OFFERED TO HAVE THE INSTALLER COME BACK AND CLEAN. SINCE I HAD ALREADY DONE THAT, THEY AGREED TO COMPENSATE ME WITH EXTRA SALT FOR THE INCONVIENCE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED A FEW TIMES OF NOT HAVING MY PHONE CALLS RETURNED BUT, ONCE I GOT TO THE RIGHT PERSON, ALL MY CONCERNS WERE HANDLED QUICKLY AND FAIRLY.

HAVE NOT MOVED IN YET. BUILDER HANDLED INSTALL AND WE ARE PAYING BUILDER. COMMERS PROVIDED REQUESTED INFORMATION ON THE VARIOUS TYPES OF SOFTENERS THAT THEY HAVE.

I HAD A PREVIOUS WATER SOFTENER THAT ''DIED'' AFTER 24 YEARS. THEIR OFFICE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING ME DETERMINE IF THE SOFTENER WAS WORKING OR NOT. WHEN IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT WASN'T WORKING ANYMORE, DAVE HOON, CAME OUT AND SHOWED ME ALL THE OPTIONS IN WATER SOFTENERS. THE INSTALLATION PERSON WAS VERY GOOD.

WE WERE ALSO TOLD THAT WE WOULD GET A GUARANTEE ON THE MEDIA, BUT THE GUARANTEE THAT WE RECEIVED DOESNT APPEAR TO COVER IT. WE HAVE CONTACTED THEM 3 TIMES IN REGARDS TO THE GUARANTEE AND THEY HAVE YET TO CALL BACK / SEND THE GUARANTEE. THE PRODUCT IS WONDERFUL. THE SALESMAN DID A GOOD JOB ANALYZING THE INFORMATION AND I DONT THINK WE HAVE A GOOD SYSTEM. ITS THE GUARANTEE THAT I NEED. IF THEY DONT FOLLOW THROUGH I WONT USE THEM AGAIN. THEY DID COME IN WITH A PRODUCT THAT WAS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT OTHER COMPANIES HAD OFFERED. THE INSTALLATION OF THE WATER SOFTENER IS FINE. THE REVERSE OSMOSIS WAS THE ONLY INCONSISTENCY.
