We anticipated a big mess to clean up, however there was none as they cleaned up all the debris which was actually very little. The men were very kind and we were impressed by their willingness to return if we noticed or had the slightest problem. Good service means a lot to us as well as good work. Description of Work: We needed added insulation in our attic, about twice as much as we had. Also a vent pipe had loosened allowing air from the bathroom to go into the attic rather than vent through the roof . This was also repaired

 + -1 moreStaff onsite arrived promptly, were very courteous, cleaned up thoroughly and kept me informed of progress. Photos were provided, I was able to inspect final work and paperwork was easy, fast and complete. Work was even completed a little sooner than the estimated 8 hour finish time. It hasn't been extremely cold since work was completed, but I feel that the temperature in our house has evened out from room to room.
Description of Work: We had our attic insulated to eliminate cold spots in our house. They showed us the reason for our problem, explained the solution thoroughly, answered all questions patiently and scheduled work promptly. The process was not only installing insulation, it included replacement of collapsing roof vent tubes, sealing all openings ( light fixtures, electric wires, vent fans, etc) and any necessary mold remediation.

 + 0 moreThe insulation work went so well we decided to have our windows replaced as well the following year. Our house is approximately 45 years old and the windows were original windows. The original windows looked good, but we felt that we would save money and add value to our home by updating them with new technology windows. The installation went great, better than I thought it could and all the work was done in a day. There was no exterior changes at all, all the windows were sealed with chalk and wrapped for new siding if we decide to add it in the future. Everything included in the original quote was done and a satisfaction check off with the installer was done before he left. The saving on the heating bills is noticeable and I would estimate our savings to be 15 - 20% during the heating and cooling months. Overall, we are very satisfied with all the work that was done and would recommend Budget Exteriors.
Description of Work: We had our attic insulation installed 2 years ago and were very pleased. The estimator was very professional and courteous and answered all our questions. The work was done promptly and there was no mess left behind. Photos were taken to assure all work was done as promised. The payment plan for the work was very generous and easy to understand. The insulation work paid dividends immediately with lower heating bills and no more ice dams on our roof.

 + 0 moreI thought it went very well. Themen kept us informed of what they were doing and when they finished they cleaned everything up. Very nice and professional.
Description of Work: We had insulation blown into our house attic. We also had new vents put in because the ones we had were to small. We had a bathroom vent that was not vented out the roof so they put in a new vent hose and new roof vent. They took out any old insulation that was wet from water damage and made sure there was no mold in the attic. They also updated our smoke and CO2 alarms and put some in where we needed them. Where we had smoke and CO2 detectors they made sure the batteries were good and if not changed them.

 + -1 moreI didn't do any research on this product and found out that it does not expand it comes out of the hose as foam. Clean up is very easy since it doesn't stick to anything this is both nice and a problem since it doesn't seal anything either. The product is mixed with water from my house and expands to full extent when it exits the hose. Needless to say my house was saturated, every wall expanded due to the excessive water. Once the foam started drying out it started shrinking at this point it is now about a half an inch away from every side, so much for the insulation. As to the quality of the work, the people performing the job left globs of the foam everywhere which I had to go around and pick up it was from that I realized just how much water was in the foam.

 + -1 moreTook 3 days to get call back to set appointment t. Estimator arrived 20 minutes late. He wanted to reschedule when we were ready to sign. Almost refused to estimate due to spouse not being home. I used to install siding, I know what it costs, I just do not want to do it. $21,60 is about double what it should be for my home. From prior experience getting a window from them -- this is how the game is played: unbelievably huge estimate. Price goes down 3 times while you talk to them. Then you call a manager to get "budget" price. Then you finally get the number near what others offer...

 + 4 moreI am on the do not call list but obviously Budget Exteriors chooses to ignore the law. I was called on a on a Saturday morning by a pushy telemarketer. When I pointed out that I was on the do not call list he completely ignored it and continued with his high pressure sales pitch. When I told him I don't do business with companies that solicit by phone he still continued. At that point I hung up. After checking the phone number from caller ID on multiple web sites it is obvious that this is how they routinely do business.

 + -1 moreThey said I had quite a bit of the insulation that was good, but I needed extra. They have a ruler thing that they used to show you when they take pictures. They show you how much you had and then they show you how much they put in there after with the picture. They're so good. They cleaned up everything. There wasn't any sign that they were even here. They told me everything what they're going to do and just like most people do when they gave an estimate. They always showed me pictures in what they had done. I had to go with them and trust them. I'm not going to crawl up there and find out that they didn't do some. They did a good job.
Description of Work: I've used Budget Exteriors last month for insulation in the attic and install ventilation chutes. They did 96 of those up there.

 + 0 moreThe whole time from the beginning I was impressed with Chris at Budget and the company. I was kept informed of how things were going and when I could expect Install to begin. Aaron our installer was great he was able to explain everything to me and even went out of his way to do a couple of little extras no charge. Extremely happy with my siding and window and will recommend to anyone who is in need of new siding or windows. I can't wait to test out the new window come winter time and see how much money it will save me and how much warmer it will keep my home.

My wife's work schedule made this very difficult. More likely we were being set up for a high pressure sales pitch to buy on the spot. Since this strategy does not work for us, we cancelled the appointment.
Description of Work: I received a cold call from them (or a company they hired) looking for business. They persuaded me to set up an appointment to have someone look at our insulation.

 + -1 moreI recieved a phone call from Budget Exteriors and the nice lady on the phone said that since I was a previous customer they had some specials. I said that was great since I had just paid off my same as cash loan from the previous windows that I had purchased from them. The sales rep that came out was the same one that I had dealt with in the past. Since I already knew the sales rep the experience was very easy and comfortable. I will be useing budget exteriors for any of my future home improvements.
Description of Work: I purchased replacement windows for my home. I had aluminum clad anderson windows that were about 20 years old and they had rotted out just like the other ones I had already replaced with budget exteriors. They installed new energy efficient vinyl windows and I couldn't be happier.

 + 0 moreI would recommend Budget Exteriors to anyone that is looking for a quality job. They aren't going to be the cheapest guy in town, I had other estimates that were less expensive but the products they use diffenitely are top notch and do what they are supposed to do.
Description of Work: They did Owens Corning Attic Insulation. We had about 6 inches of insulation and they brought it up to roughly 17 inches of insulation. They added some pink chutes in all the rafters in the attic. The two gentlemen they sent out were fantastic. They went in and sealed around all the pipes and stuff that went through to the roof and cleared out the overhangs so that air could flow through our attic which has really helped with the ice dams we used to get during really cold winters. I checked my heating bills last year versus after the insulation was done and it looks like we are saving about 40% on our heating and cooling bills. I don't know if this savings is all from the insulation or if some of it is from the new windows we also purchased. We also purchased 6 windows from Budget Exteriors. All I can say about the windows if WOW!!!! What a huge difference they make versus our old windows. We only had 6 windows left to do as we replaced the rest of our windows about 5 years ago from a different company. The windows we purchased from Budget Exteriors were a little more expensive than the ones we bought 5 years ago but after having them in for roughly 1 1/2 years I can say with complete confidence that they are well worth the additional money we paid for them. Even during the coldest days Budget's windows still feel room temperature to the touch and not a ounce of air leaks through or around the windows. Now my wife would like to replace all the rest of the windows with Budget Exteriors windows even though they are only 5 years old.

 + -1 moreThe crew left nails and debris around the house. They made a mess with caulking when they put the siding back on and tried to seal the nails with caulking. A couple areas appear to have not been foamed as viewed through a heat camera. At least some sections (maybe more) did not get a complete fill - I installed a new phone box into the existing wall and it was not filled with foam. I checked with the company who manufactures Retrofoam. The price should have been about $2500 for a home my size. Read several other reviews that said Budget Exterior typically over inflates their prices 3.5 to 4 times. I called Budget Exteriors about these issues and they ignored me.
Description of Work: I had the house Retrofoamed - injection of foam insulation into the exterior walls as an add on to the existing fiberglass insulation. It is supposed to fill all voids and increase insulation performance.
