This was among the best home-repair experiences I've ever had. Paul scheduled the work a month in advance and his crew showed up exactly when predicted and the work was also finished right when he said it would be. Permitting, demolition and cleanup, all happened without me having to lift a finger or even check in with the crew, and the new steps look great.

Did an excellent job. Actually completed the work nearly two weeks ahead of schedule. Paul responded to calls / voicemails in a timely manner (clearly he is business and was difficult to reach immediately but is our situation, the response was not urgently required).

It went really well. The concrete has held up really well over this really bad winter. Looks great!!!

It went quite well. Paul and his men showed up on time as promised. All were personable and hard workers. They finished the job the same day. I'm satisfied with the work and would hire again.

I called because I needed some cement repaired. I did say that I wanted the stoop replaced, because it was damaged. The bid was over $7,000. That was high so I contacted another recommended cement co. and they said that the stoop did not need to be replaced, that they could cover it and replace what else was needed. And they charged about $3,000.

Paul Armstrong was very helpful when he came out to discuss the project and our concerns about existing landscaping on both sides of the 8 steps that needed replacment. After we agreed to the proposal, we set up an afternoon for removal of the steps , with pouring to occur the next morning. Paul and his crew were wonderful. We got to watch from our front window and were very impressed with how well they worked together. Every one of them knew what to do next and worked very hard the whole time they were here. It was also very apparent that they liked working with each other and seemed to have fun in the midst of our challenging installation. It snowed during the night before pouring the concrete so, to avoid snow clumps falling from the trees onto the project, they built a plastic tent to work under, which made their job even more of a challenge! We had warming blankets on the steps for seven days to help the curing process. My husband and I we very, very impressed and grateful for their expertise and love our beautiful new steps and for preserving the surrounding landscaping. Thank you Paul and company!

They were on time, finished when they said they would. Poured new concrete for front and side of house for a new sidewalk. I have the original front stairs from when the house was built (1947). They totally reworked the front stairs using a lot of the old stone...they used new pavers to redo the back stairs

It went great. They were friendly, professional and on time. They did quality work and had great follow up at the end.

I am very pleased with my entire experience with Armstrong Concrete. The bid was not the lowest, but definitely not the highest. His warranty is far superior to any of the others who bid on the project. Paul made suggestions for the aesthetics too, things I had not considered, including widening the sidewalk. The crew was here on one of the hottest days we have had, and they worked nonstop, prepping in the morning, and pouring in the afternoon. Someone returned the next day to finalize things, and patched some of the biggest problems on my garage floor, gratis. Neighbors love the look of the driveway, as do I. I could not be happier.

Very professional, friendly, helpful. Very good crew. All were focused on quality and results. When someone defaced the new cement, they went out of their way to repair it.

I am rating this contractor an F overall because, after a week of waiting, he never bothered to return my phone message requesting an estimate. It was very disappointing to see his Angie's List ratings and then not even get a call back.

Paul did an excellent job of explaining his bid, the work he would perform and how his schedule was progressing. He was available by telephone, email and text if we had questions. He called a week ahead of time to let us know how his schedule was progressing. They arrived when they said they would and did a great job of removing the old concrete with out damaging the asphalt near the end of the driveway. Paul and his crew set the forms and poured 1/2 the 4 car driveway one day and part of the sidewalk and completed the other half the next day. The concrete we specified was exposed aggregate, which entails a lot of work. They did a very nice job of matching the other exposed aggregate around the house and did a good job of matching the front stairs, which we did not replace. There was an area from the first day's pour (a section of the sidewalk going to the back of the house that didn't match the work done by others a year before). Paul offerd to remove the section and do it again. This was much apprecated and it now looks perfect. The overal professionalism and quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Paul and the individuals who worked with him were friendly and respectful. It was a very good experience.

The experience went really well. I really liked that the owner, Paul, was on site when the job started. It looks really great and the slope of the driveway is great. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was less than other bids I got from companies on Angie's list. My driveway was such a mess I knew I needed to go with someone who really know what they were doing. My only critique would be to make sure that they lock up - my side door was unlocked when I got home.

I had four different contractors come out to give me bid?s on putting in a 41? x 15? concrete slab. All four contractors also had good reports reflected on the BBB. Paul, from Armstrong Concrete was punctual and arrived on time for our appointment. He was knowledgeable and polite. Armstrong Concrete?s bid was the highest bid we received. We decided to go with one of the other contractures, who supplied a lower bid

Paul and team did an ecellent job with my patio and driveway. I appreciated his vision and design skills. When the sealant did not dry properly, he proptly fixed the problem

I called for an estimate and was told someone would contact me. A month later, I've not received any contact from them. Very disappointing for a company so highly rated here.

It went great. They removed the old walk and poured the new one in short order. Good crew and Mr. Armstrong himself is a perfectionist--my kind of guy.

I was very pleased with the services performed. Armstrong has only one crew and he works directly with the men on site every day. The quality of the work is very good, and the attention to detail is exceptional. I received three bids for this job, and Armstrong won the job with their combination of quality and value; the price was far less than that quoted by two other area concrete services. The owner was always prompt in returning phone calls, and was very helpful in resolving a disagreement with the city engineer regarding the shape of the driveway. This is a first-class company, and I recommend them highly.

I contacted Paul at Armstrong from his Angie's list review along with 2 other contractors. Paul asked the right questions and provided a bid that reflected his understanding of our needs, and offered value relative to the competitive bids. Paul was patient and courteous when answering questions and providing his professional recommendations. He and his team scheduled and executed the project promptly. We were particularly pleased with their ability to address our grading challenges with the originally installed asphalt driveway. They did a great job with repairs required on our concrete garage slab adjacent to the driveway. They were very efficient, neat, courteous and professional. My wife and I were very pleased with the outcome. I would wholeheartedly recommend Armstrong and would use them again for future jobs.

I received a prompt and reasonable estimate from Paul- and was pleased to hear from him that he would be able to start work ahead of the previously arranged date. He and his crew showed up on time and were attentive to questions and considerations which arose that morning concerning issues with our irrigation system in the area of the job. Additionally- the work was originally to be preformed over a 2 day time frame, (excluding final sealing), and Armstrong got the concrete poured, stamped, and first seal done in one day. Paul was on site throughout the whole project, and his workers were professional, courteous, and friendly. All cleanup and final sealing was completed with equal professionalism- High quality work from start to finish; Armstrong exceeded our expectations.

We phoned # on Angie's List on computer. He returned call promptly and told us when to expect him. He and his crew showed up as promised and completed task in one day and results were very professional. Thank you, Paul.

For us, this was one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences. I went with Armstrong because Paul was very professionalproposal was very detailed, he was highly rated from Angie's List (I believe even a preferred provider), and his quote was the cheapest. The project hit a bump when the old patio concrete was much thicker than he expected which took his team considerably more time to remove than expected, and probably ended up resulting in a loss for him on this project given his level of his quote. I am not sure if what happened from there was a result of them trying to cut corners or speed things up on the re-pouring but there were several flaws in the work some of which were fixed and some were not. The list is: 1) They did not repour the concrete in the same formation as the house, leaving a small 4 by 3 inch open square in the corner of the house which quickly became prime real estate for the chipmunks. When asked to fix it, they did but it was a rather sloppy fill in fix with no real attempt to smooth the patch to match the patio or look decent. 2) The slab by the backdoor was not filled below the grade of the grass line leaving holes that we had to cover by adding more dirt and creating increasing the grade at the step base 3) The appearance of polka dots in certain areas of the patio, particularly around the joints that showed up after the sealer was put on and almost look like the sealer was sprayed on and was splattered heavier in some areas. I asked Paul to inspect this and it was never done or acknowledged. 4) Lastly, and the element that was most frustrating are the hairline spider web cracks that are prominent on the first two steps leading up to the patio but also located on other spots on the patio itself. The cracks are visible when dry and extremely prominent when it gets wet, but getting worse with time. Paul inspected it and acknowledge that it was called crazing which he explained as being something that happens and does not affect the structural integrity. Upon further research of my own, I found various sources that all explained crazing in further detail and all concluded that crazing occurs due to improper construction technique and can be the result of various issues during the construction phase. And while I am happy to hear that it does not affect the structure, it is almost worse because I have no recourse with regard to the work quality and guarantee, and am left with a patio that is unsightly. If it had been a sidewalk or driveway I would probably not have minded as much but this is patio is part of an expense exterior renovation and it is just very disappointing to spend thousands of dollars on work that is completed sub par. Overall, I was very dissatisfied in the end with Paul's handling of my concerns. It felt a bit like a bait and switch where he went from being very attentive to get the sale but it felt like once he realized he underbid it because of the existing construction and that customer was not satisfied, and probably because his construction team was to blame, he was not longer attentive or concerned about making it right. I would not recommend this company if you have other good referrals and quality/look is an important factor for you.

They did the job well. They made a mistake by spattering drops of concrete on our car in front but they fixed the problem quickly to our satisfaction.

Even though we ended up going with another company, I wanted to put a review on here, because I think Paul and his company are a quality operation, his prices are great, and he was really nice to deal with on the phone. He had come out a couple years prior and wrote an estimate for the work, but we were not able to afford it at that time. I called him for an updated estimate, he pulled the old one, updated it and dropped it in the mail. I ended up going with another company, mainly because I felt more comfortable that they had worked quite a bit with the company doing the asphalt portion of our project, and they could start right away. But - Paul's pricing is VERY competitive, and he's a nice guy to deal with, it made the decision of who to go with really hard for us!

Paul and his crew did a fantastic job. When he quoted the job, he knew exactly what we should do to get the results and appearance that we wanted. He did not have the lowest price that we were quoted. In fact, his was the highest. But, we do not regret spending a little more to get that kind of expertise. During the project, when we had a concern, he quickly made adjustments to make sure we were getting what we wanted. He also patiently answered every question we had (and we're the type that ask a lot of questions!) He came on time and finished according to schedule. Our garage is a nicer place than it ever was before and the driveway was placed better, so that our home has greater curb appeal. We would definitely use Armstrong again.
