The work that was done was actually done well. The problem was the very next year we had many pits show up on the apron of the garage. I was told by the owner that "it was a bad year", and basically a lot of concrete suffered. No offer from him to come see or even patch the work. It was several thousand dollars to have this done only to be left with crumbling work. UPDATE: After posting a mediocre review on Angie’s List, Paul contacted me. Somehow our communications from the past fell through the cracks. He was sincerely apologetic (I believed him). He came out and inspected the problem. I was still under warranty, and he came out and replaced the outer apron and repaired the chipped concrete near the door a few days later. I now fully endorse Armstrong Concrete and I am happy with the outcome.

Put in a request for bid through Angie's List, and received no response whatsoever from Armstrong. They could be good, but I have no way of knowing. Went with another provider who actually responded.

Paul did one outstanding job. He is a consummate professional, no nonsense kind of guy. Gave a very fair bid and was on time with completion. The work was outstanding and I have had endless compliments by visitors on the quality of his work. Would hire Paul in a minute again.

Paul and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. Paul's vast experience helped me design a solution that made the finished project so much more better and functional than the original. I am amazed at how well things went. Paul is very hands-on. He gets right in and works with his crew. He pays close attention to detail which makes the finished product superb. If I have future concrete projects he can plan on having my return business.

Paul was prompt, friendly, and had a competitive bid. He kept in communication throughout the process and completed everything according to the schedule and bid. I'm very happy with the work and he was even able to save the railings and have them refinished. This is how a small business should be run.

They came and removed the existing cracked sidewalk, and put in a new one. They added grading to account for new code requirements on step size as well.

All went as planned - and the new steps and railing look great!

I am totally satisfied with the work. Paul and his crew did an exceptional job. Paul met with me a couple of times to go over the project. He always called back quickly when I called with questions. They were always punctual. Paul was there everyday working with his crew. I have had numerous comments from neighbors and friends about how nice the driveway and sidewalk look. I couldn't have asked for more. I think the cost was very reasonable.

Armstrong was doing work across the street, and I asked him to quote. He did so immediately and gave a discount to do the work at the same time as the work across the street (discount to both me and my neighbor). The work was done as promised and on time and looks great.

Paul did an excellent job. Even with some last minute changes I requested, he was able to bring the job in very close to estimate. I was impressed with his patience, flexibility and knowledge when it came to setup and design. He brought things to my attention that I hadn't even considered, and was very helpful in explaining why he was doing what he was doing every step of the way. When we ran into some rainy weather the day they were pouring the sidewalk, he and his crew were very speedy in constructing tarps over the work to protect it. I am extremely satisfied with the way things turned out, and appreciate all the personal attention to detail that he and his crew gave the project. The retaining wall is perfect, and the project exceeded my expectations. Paul was just great to work with. I highly recommend his company and his crew.

They were completing jobs more quickly than expected and were able to get the work done a couple of weeks before it was scheduled. It looks great!

Wonderfully well. They performed a great deal of very hard work, including removal of the old concrete sidewalk and complete replacement with new well-graded concrete from the back door to the front walkway. Great work.

Almost every contractor has given me the line, "we don't want to be the most expensive, but we don't want to be the cheapest" right before they quote you the price?which is the most expensive. In this case, Paul was the cheapest and I believe the best. We've been through 2 winters now and the driveway still looks gorgeous. You will love working with Paul. He is unbelievably kind and generous with his time. I almost hate to recommend him simply because I'm going to want to have him back over to do our steps and I have a feeling he's only going to get busier. Well, good for him. Paul and his crew arrived at 7:30 AM at the promised time with enough equipment to complete the task in a timely, effective, manner. All of his equipment was clean and wellvmaintained. All five of the men on the team were trained and knew what to do at each step of the process. It was obvious they had been through the process many times before. Paul had estimated that they would be done at 4:00 PM. At 4:02 PM, the last tool was cleaned, picked up and put away. The team was very considerate and careful with items in the vicinity of the driveway, sometimes with significant inconvenience to themselves. I was around most of the day and was able to observe the process; I learned that cement work is not only hard work but done well it takes skill and attention to detail. The completed driveway is excellent and the work area was clean and picked up.

This is our second time working with Armstrong Concrete. (They'd previously removed a six-step stairway, laid footings and built a new stairway to our former house.) We were so impressed the first time by their work and how they stood by their product--they fixed rock pops after a bitter winter--that we didn't bother getting any other bids to replace the crumbling front steps on our new house. Paul was prompt in getting a bid to us last fall. Once we signed the contract, he let me know he would call us as soon as the ground had thawed and put us on the schedule. As promised, Paul called in early April with our install date. His crew got the job done on the scheduled day, and though I knew I was taking a risk in not digging up the nearby perennials, his crew avoided damaging them in any way. And, of course, the front steps look great. I highly recommend them to anyone needing concrete work.

Though difficult at first to reach due to ongoing work, Mr. Armstrong was able to drive past our rental property and provide us an estimate to replace the concrete entry and front walk, along with the downspout drainage off or the gutter system. His bid was competitive and consistent with a previous quotation I received from him several years ago when I found Armstrong Concrete on Angie's List. His crew arrived the day promised and completed the work quoted. The work looks very good.

The project went great. Paul came out and gave us a free estimate which we compared with other bids that we had done. Paul's price was the best price so we went with them. The project went just as Paul had promised. I like working with a small company also. There was a lot of work tearing out the existing concrete. Armstrong's crew did a great job as far as not wrecking my lawn too. Everything was done right on schedule and turned out beautiful. I have had several neighbors ask for Armstrong's contact information.

Requested a quote for a new concrete driveway. Paul left a message that he was booked up for estimating appointments and also busy getting ready for a 10 day vacation. Calls back almost 3 weeks later. I was more than willing to allow him to go on vacation, but taking almost a week his return seems lame. Found another contractor in the meantime.

Paul and his crew are professionals. From first contract to the very end of the project. Paul is a great communicator, he gives you all the necessary details. He will add his expert advise if warranted, "Take the advise". He is honest about his schedule. He is very busy and might not be able to look at your project tomorrow because he is at the job site. The end result will be worth the wait. The crew works hard, keeps the work area clean and are friendly to work with. I probably will have other projects that require concrete work and I will be making one call to Armstrong Concrete.
