I called him for an estimate but didn't use him until about a year later. He had to revise his estimate a little, but it was fine. Another thing I liked about him was that he worked really well with our other contractor - and he even reduced my bid and revised a work plan.

I ultimately chose to go with a different contractor, but I have high praise for the responsiveness of this contractor. It suggests to me that the same attitude towards customer service would carry through all of their work.

They did an excellent job. Paul Armstrong is the name of the owner. He was out doing the work with his crew. He is a hands on business owner. I really enjoy working with a small business. I would absolutely recommend him to others.

It went very well. They started the project exactly when they said they would and finished in two days. Paul was very personable and professional. The driveway is beautiful. It is surprising how much of a difference it has made to our overall back yard area.

Everything went smoothly. They came when they said they would and got the job done quickly. We didn't even have to be home when they performed the work. Everything about the work was excellent.

Paul followed up with us immediately after we left a message, to get an estimate on concrete work we needed done at our home. He came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate and was very knowledgeable. He was very professional and was easy to get a hold of and/or returned our phone call promptly. His crew came on the day he said they would and were done before we got home from work. They cleaned up very well before they left - we never would've been able to tell they were even there, except for the fact that we had new steps and sidewalks. They came back the next day to put a protective coat on the concrete. Another plus is that Paul is on site the entire time the work is being done. We couldn't have found a better price for the high quality of work that was done. Highly recommend.

They had to reschedule the first time because of wet weather (not a problem to me). They arrived at 7:00 AM on the rescheduled day and by 3:00 PM had removed the old driveway and parking place and set the forms for the new driveway and parking place. The second day they poured the new driveway, parking place and curb. They completed that work by mid afternoon, cleaned up and left. the following weekend they came back to put the saw cut control joints in the driveway. They did a very nice job!

I was very pleased with the work because it seems like the work was done very well. Also right next to the sidewalk there was some dirt that needed to be removed. The owner called back and asked how the service was and I told him that the dirt was put in the wrong location. The owner said that he wouldn't charge me for that and would come back in the Spring to move it to the correct location.

Excellent. Fast response to our inquiry. Very professional in getting information for the estimate and in answering questions about the project. Scheduling the work was tight because we were at the end of the season. They completed the project one week ahead of schedule. Brought in a small army that got the job done in just two days. Paul answered our original inquiry, developed the estimate, and led the execution of the project. Completely hands on.

The finished product was defective (pitch is incorrect and water pools on all steps. I contacted the owner of the company earlier in the year regarding this and he did not agree to do anything about it (he told me to put sand on the stairs). I find this unacceptable. It is now late Fall, and the water that pools on the stairs is freezing into ice. Unacceptable.

Paul and his crew arrived when they said they would, worked very hard at removing the existing concrete steps, and had all three sites prepped by the end of the first day. They are self-contained and very efficient. Each person on the crew had a specific job to accomplish and they worked as a well oiled machine. The steps and driveway were poured the second day. Scoring of the driveway pad required that the company return on a Sunday, which they did. The crew was pleasant and informative when asked questions about the process.

Paul came right on time for the estimate, gave me a competitive bid and was very responsive to all communications. He called back when he said he would. Paul explained in detail what he planned on doing and he even works with the crew on the job unlike other bids we received. I had him give bids on two of my neighbors driveways at the same time and we all accepted his bids. Work was scheduled and completed right on time. All three of us are DELIGHTED with his work and would highly recommend Armstrong Concrete. I especially liked the way the company recycles the old driveway material and doesn't just dump it in a landfill.

Paul Armstrong was very pleasant and professional. He was quick to give me an estimate, which was the best one I got, and he was more knowledgeable about the city codes than other contractors I checked with. The stairs were finished on time and look great. We get compliments all the time.

Paul arrived for our estimate meeting exactly when he said he would. He was pleasant and helpful with his suggestions. He set the date for the work, and they were there to do the work on the date and on time. Something we did not talk about was the height of the landing in relationship to the door. They raised the landing height and that has made it much better going in and out. What really impressed me was they did not ask for money upon completion of the job. I was told I would get a bill. Very professional. Very impressive.

I had high expectations regarding Armstrong given their rating but their lack of responsiveness eliminated them from consideration. I called for an estimate, leaving a message on Paul's voicemail. 24 hours later, not having received a reply call, I left another message. 24 hours later, still having received no reply call, I gave the job to another company. I wasn't expecting an immediate estimate but not acknowledging a potential customer's inquiry for more than 48 hours is, in my opinion, not the way to conduct business, especially when a customer has called twice. I'm sure Paul is swamped, but you still need to acknowledge calls. For the record, Paul did call about 50 hours after my first call. FYI Paul, here's how the competition operates: Company "A" - Returned my call within 3 hours and came to provide an estimate the same day. Company "B" - Returned my call within a few hours and scheduled an appointment for 3 days later. They called the day prior to the appt. to confirm.

Paul did the bid personally and thoroughly and we felt that the price was reasonable based on a couple of other bids. They scheduled the work conveniently and started early. The crew was efficient and pleasant to have around. Paul, the owner, personally supervised the job. Work was done quickly, but well, and they left no mess. Our only question about the work has to do with the slope of the sidewalk which we expected to be somewhat steeper to assure drainage. Since we were away during most of the heavy rain we haven't really had a chance to watch it during a storm, but there was a bit of water in the basement along part of the sidewalk when we returned from vacation. However, that may well have been the result of sheer volume of water. Paul assured us in a follow-up call that it was properly sloped.

Absolutely great; professional service from start to finish.

Communication was very good. Start time was late due to road restrictions {06/07}. All work went well except for issues with the exposed aggregate which turned out to be a "real bugger". problem was solved to our satisfaction. Very nice to work with and will "definitly" use again in the future.

Very prompt and very professional. This was our top choice but they were not able to provide concrete stamping. We almost changed our design plans because we were so impressed with the quality work.

Paul is delightful to deal with, cooperative and professional without the self-importance others seem to have. He works with his crew, all of whom are polite and hard-working. They were thorough, knew their stuff and cared about protecting and cleaning up the property after their work. The final product looks terrific, too!

Amazing. I can't praise this company enough. They were neat and performed beautiful work. Paul worked with me on giving me bids for several options for the sidewalk. He was patient while I decided and was always prompt with the bids. We set up the date for the job and he actually called and started the job a day before scheduled (because he was behind, I still can't figure that out, when most companies are running behind, don't they come late?) The sidewalk has an exposed 8" aggregate border and he gave a step a "bull nose" exposed front to match existing steps. They also acid washed and sealed existing steps in this process. Great company, very neat and caring about their product.

They showed up on time, explained how the project would progress, and finished as planned. Paul was on site through the entire process and the guys worked very hard. The finished product is beautiful and we are very satisfied.

We were very pleased with the project from start to finish. Paul Armstrong helped us with the design of the steps, which we wanted to flare out on one side at the bottom, and with the new concrete pad. He gave us a very competitive bid and completed the work on time. We enjoyed working with him.
