I called Don and left a message on what I needed done. There was an estimate in the door the next day. They came out within two days to complete the job. They thinned out the tree in front, took off two branches on a Japanese Lilac, cut two cross-over branches in another tree. They also noticed that the neighbor's lilac bushes were hanging over into our property and cut them back so that I didn't have to do it in order to mow the grass. They also talked to me about some of our bushes and what to do in the fall so that there wasn't as much old wood die-off. They cleaned everything up. We have had them at least four times and would not use anyone else. They are courteous, professional, punctual, and take time to explain what they are doing and offer advice.

This company did a far superior job to anything I imagined. They were on time, professional and did an excellent job of cutting down the trees, chipping them and cleaning up everything. My property was an old Christmas tree farm and there are a lot of half-dead, large pines. I now have a very nice yard. They also had to work around many obstacles such as septic system, fence, rock gardens, intermittent rain...What absolutely excellent service they provided. I highly recommend this company and could not believe how very reasonable the price. Don't even bother to look elsewhere. My only regret is that I did not do this when I first moved here.

Best estimate. The service was great. They were very punctual, removed the trees, and cleaned up. I would use them again without any question.

We have used them before. Their work is good and they are reasonable. They do what they promise. They are on time, and clean up after themselves.

We waited several weeks to make the decision to finally take down the trees. Contacted Don and he honored the estimate that he gave us in April. They were out to take down the trees within the week. The cottonwoods presented a challenge because of their size and location. They had to bring in a crane to help bring down some of the larger branches and the trunks. The crew was well organized and the tree were down, everything hauled away, street and yard cleaned and stumps ground by late afternoon.

Matt and crew arrived on time and completed work promply and removed the debris. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Totally excellent experience. Don came out quickly to give quote ( and even brought along his rescue Bull dog - a wonderful dog!) Came out today to do work - He came with his crew and went over what was to be done so we were all on the same page.. The 3 men who did the work were ALL polite, and very professional. They did excellent work and cleaned up nicely afterword. Will be calling on Arbor Tree Service again when I need work.

They did an excellent job. The only mishap was a branch fell on a slab of limestone seat that had broken. They compensated me by doing extra work.

His first name, I believe, was Don. We did not decide to go with him. His quote was spot on. We had just had a neighbor contact us who had a relative that was doing the same type of work and so we went with him.

arrived on time for estimate. Provide a competitive quote and thoroughly explaining details of the job. Would have used their service however we ended up using a private individual who worked on our other trees a year ealier.

Was eager to have Arbor Design Tree Service come out and give an estimate based on these reviews. But after after leaving 2 phone messages over the course of 1 week and no response, was very disappointed. There was no indication on the voicemail message they were out of town or unable to respond. Ended up having someone else do the work this weekend.

They arrived on time and did a nice job; it only took about 2 hours

We left a message for Bob to see if he could trim back the broken leader and also to thin out the front and back trees. He called back the next day to say that he could do it but needed to do the trees that were laying on house that he had been called on. We told him that was OK as there wasn't any damage to the house. He said he would come over and pick-up the branches that had broken off. He was there that same night. We were gone over the weekend and noticed when we came home that the tree had been trimmed and both were thinned out. The area was cleaned up as if no one had even been there. We have used this company several times and are extremely satisfied with there service and there response.

Arbor was recommended by a neighbor, and it turns out that they had previously done work on our property for the previous owner. The crew and equipment showed up on Monday 7/25 at 8:30 am as promised. They were very professional, and quick. They put big panels down in our yard to protect the grass from their heavy equipment that needed to be driven into the back yard. Once they cut down 3+ trees, they cleaned up all the debris, raked up all the remaining leaves etc, and other than my trees being gone, the yard looks good. We will definitely use their service again, and I would highly recommend them.

We liked them very much. We had a bunch of trees down due to the tornado. We had three or four trees from my next door neighborhood that landed on my property around the house. They had to dispose them and then we had to have two trees of ours taken down because they were leaning and they cut them up and hauled them away and they removed the tree stumps. The workers that came out were very nice and they did a nice job. They were real careful so that they didn’t damage any of our lawn ornaments and stuff they found underneath the bushes and trees. They brought them up on the patio what was left of it. The work was good. $7000 was well spent. One of our neighbors had recommended them also. They were really nice. I never had this kind of work done but I think their price was good. There was debris and stuff all over the place. They were done in a day. They had a lot of equipment. They had things like buckets that went up several stories high. The two pines that were still standing were real tall. They were blown and were kind of lopsided; so they were ready to tip them over. The tree that was in our backyard was probably about two to three stories high in some places. The trees from the neighbors all blew in this direction. The maple tree that blew over from our neighbor’s property brought down some of our trees. There were pine trees and black walnut trees. They were about four to five, maybe even six stories tall and they were about hundred years old. They were responsive. The owner, Don Lawrence, came over and looked everything over and he said that he could get his people out here in about 10 minutes. He said that they would be here with all the equipment and come and start right away. They were taking trees out of another yard in the neighborhood. They had quite a few workers here. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others; in fact, we have recommended them to other people. Two days after they had taken the trees down, they hauled and loaded dirt so that they could fill in the holes left by the trees that they had dug out; that was really nice. They were very clean and very careful of what was left from the damage. They came in with a truck loaded with some stuff and put it in the backyard; that was very thoughtful of them. They didn’t charge us for it. Most of it was not covered by insurance. I spent the money from my pocket, but it was worth it. They were really very good. We are really very happy. We would use them again in the future if needed.

I had several companies come out with bids. Most wanted 3 to 4 times what Arbor asked. I had heard good things about them and even heard good comments about them from another company that put in a bid. After checking them on Angie's list and seeing good feedback I called to make an appointment. I received a call back saying that they had a couple jobs to do and would be out the beginning of the next week. They were not sure when, but said that I would come home and it would be gone. This was a true statement; I came home a few days later from work and couldn't believe that there was ever a tree there. They cleaned up all the wood and filled in the hole. I would defiantly use them again.

The job was done very professionally from start to finish and they were very responsive during the entire process.

I found Don on Angie's list and emailed for an estimate - he called me and faxed the estimate the next day. I hired him sight unseen because I could tell when I spoke to him that he has a passion for his work. Work was done on time and the trees and yard look beautiful! Thanks!

They did a great job. I have some old trees I'm sentimentally attached to, most companies want to cut them down, but Arbor Design was very careful and trimmed the branches that needed to be cut to make it look better. They cleaned up after themselves and did a good job with that too.

Don was great. Came out to check the sight and called back with estimate. Was out within a week to do the work. The men that did the job were efficient and very professional. Asked us to come and check the job that was done to make sure it was what we wanted. We have used them before and have even recommended them to others.

He indicated the tree stumps were small and could not perform the job. He gave me recommendations for someone to do the work. I would recommend him.

They showed up the 1st day when they said they would. The second time they did not call to let me know that they were coming out to do the rest. They did not complete the job. I called the owner Don and told him that some trees were left standing that I wanted taken care of. Also, I wanted him to go to the end of my fence line and more or less told me that was never discussed going that far. It was. Said he would be out the week of July 5-9. Never called or showed up. They also cut up a telephone line and never said nothing to me about it. It did not go all the way through but did cut through the protective coating on it. He said "You still have a telephone line" I said "yes". Made it sound like no big deal. It's a big deal to me. It's not his line. I do not care what he thinks. They also left brush that should have been hauled away on the side of the hill by the river. He argued about that with me also. Workers did leave some of their personal garbage in my yard. Once he got paid he totally ignored me. All he said, "I want you to happy" He did not make me happy. Communication is not good. He is probably treating me this way because I am a female and thinks I am stupid. I would never recommend this outfit to others. Find someone else because once he gets your money then he wants nothing more to do with you.

I was reluctant to lose these trees, but I had dealt with the mess the squirrels make with the nuts for far too long. I had no surfaces in my yard or patio that were not constantly stained by the squirrels breaking open the nuts and leaving the tarry mess behind. Two of my trees were up against my neighbor's fence and roofline and were very difficult to remove. The crew did a wonderful job and so careful. I was worried about the equipment driving into the yard, but it was the only way to reach the trees. They were so skilled and also cleaned up quite well. Since the time of the estimate the trees had leafed out and the nuts were large, numerous and messy to clean up, a bigger job than originally planned, and it rained in the afternoon... In addition three of my neighbors hired them to do some trimming or removal while they were in the area. I am recommending them to everyone. I am now enjoying wide open sky above my yard and I see the beautiful profiles of the giant fir trees of my neighbors, that I never saw before. And I see the herons fly over the yard daily. Great job by Don's crew. I look forward to planting new trees, where I want them.
