Anthony's Furniture Restoration

He provided an estimate, picked up the chair from my home repaired it and returned it to me. The chair was one of a set of 5. This particular one had the legs shortened by about 1 1/2 inches about 100 yrs ago. Anthony matched the wood (Maple) and extended the legs to their original length. Extensions were stained and match well with the other chairs in the set now. Two legs were round and required lathe work to make the extensions.

You can trust your items in Anthony's careful, expert hands. My pieces came back fully restored, solid and looking better than ever. He can even tell you a bit more about your beloved antiques: the period, the wood, how it was made, and even where it may have originated. Service was prompt and I didn't have to live too long without my pieces.

It was fine, he was a little slow getting back to us, but it was expected, he did very good work, he had very reasonable prices, and I would use him again in the future.

He arrived on time first for the bid and also to pick up the piece. He took the amount of time he said it would. He was very friendly and professional.

He looked at the pieces, provided an estimate, did the work on time and delivered to my house.

WE BROUGHT OUR ROCKING CHAIRS TO HIM EVEN THOUGH HE DID OFFER TO COME OUT TO OUR HOME. FOR OUR DAUGHTER, HE CAME OUT AND GAVE AN ESTIMATE TOOK THE FURNITURE BACK WITH HIM, AND RETURNED THE FURNITURE WHEN DONE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS WORK, HE WAS VERY TIMELY IN HIS SERVICES, AND HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.

I dropped off the items to get an estimate. I was called that same day with the quote. I didn't have the work done because I didn't realize how expensive it is to refinish furniture and these were not big or expensive items. The price to refinish was more than what I spent on the items initially.

We were very pleased. The table looks wonderful. Tony is very knowledgeable about antique furniture and has a passion for the work he does. First, we had Tony come to our house to look at the table and provide an estimate. He was able to come within a day or two. Once we decided to have Anthony's refinish the table, we made an appointment to have it picked up, which occurred about a month after our call. Tony arranged to pick the table up when he was ready to work on it so that it was never sitting idly in the shop. From pick-up to delivery, the process only took about 3 weeks. He came recommended to us, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

The process moved slowly, but for something so treasured, that time was well spent. Tony listened to everything I said, including my concerns (and glowing stories about Grandpa and Dad), then made my dreams come true. He was particularly patient through my pickiness about the color of leather, allowing me multiple full-sides hides to select from. The day he stripped the wood, he called to tell me how gorgeous it was and ask if I could come to the shop to see it. That kind of loving care and enthusiasm is exactly what I needed from the person who d been entrusted with my heirloom. The chair was delivered today, and is breathtaking, comfortable, and in as good (or better) condition than is was when new. Tony worked miracles.

We attempted to move our high end wood bed frame without dismantling it and broke the connection between the headboard and frame. We contacted the furniture store where we purchased the bed and they referred us to a furniture repair person. The repair last about two days. I then called Anthony's Furniture Restoration and Anthony visited my home and took the headboard. It was repaired within two days and Anthony delivered it. It has lasted for several months now. Anthony was very professional and his work was exceptional.

Anthony was great to work with. He was able to give us a variety of bids to work with depending on how much work we wanted done on the items (especially the chairs). He asked for a reasonable deposit. He was able to come pick the items up and help us load them into his van. It did seem to take quite a while, but I have nothing to compare it to so that may be industry standard. We were pleased with the results. We did have one miscommunication on when he was to show up to do the estimates, and had a hard time tracking him down on why it happened. That turned out to be a minor issue.

Anthony made an appointment to look at the desk and was very prompt. The repairs were done beautifully. The top of the desk is perfect, and the new connecting section is indistinguishable from the original section on the other side of the desk. The repair took a little more than a month, but the wait was worth it. Anthony was again very prompt on the day he returned the desk.

They are excellent! They did great work, and I will keep using them. It seems expensive, but it was worth it when it was done

The final product is magnificent and I am very happy. I will be using their services to restore other family heirloom furniture. We took the cabinet to them at the end of October and asked to have it completed for Christmas. They delivered it on Dec. 22. That is what I would call reliable service.

Friendly, helpful service. Chair was finished early. Never fixed a chair before so not sure how the prices are. Only except cash or check. I will go there again.

MISSED THE FIRST APPOINTMENT WE SET UP FOR AN ESTIMATE. CALLED AFTER THE APPOINTMENT TO APOLOGIZE. ON TIME FOR THE SECOND APPOINTMENT. GAVE THOROUGH ESTIMATE AND EXPLANATION OF WORK NEEDED--ESTIMATE WAS DOUBLE A COMPETITOR'S ESTIMATE. CHOSE COMPETITOR BASED ON OVERALL EXPERIENCE, COURTEOUSNESS AND ON COST.

TONY CALLED ME VERY SOON AFTER I SENT HIM AN E-MAIL ABOUT A TABLE, CHAIRS AND BUFFET THAT NEED SOME SERIOUS ATTENTION. HE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO COME OUT TO OUR HOUSE TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE FURNITURE AND TO HELP ME DECIDE IF IT WOULD BE WORTH PUTTING MONEY INTO IT. APPARENTLY, WE HAVE A FANTASTIC DINING ROOM SET THAT NEEDS A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT. TONY SUGGESTED THAT WE COULD DO A PIECE AT A TIME AS WE COULD AFFORD IT, AND WE ARE VERY LIKELY TO HIRE HIM ON FOR THAT TASK. HE SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HIS BUSINESS, THE WOOD, AND THE CRAFTSMANSHIP OF OUR FURNITURE. I WOULD BE VERY COMFORTABLE HAVING HIM WORK ON OUR SET.

THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THE QUOTE WAS 10% HIGHER THAN ANOTHER ACCEPTABLE VENDOR, SO THEY WERE NOT SELECTED.

WORKING WITH ANTHONY'S WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT MY PIECE OF FURNITURE AND EXPRESSED GREAT EXCITEMENT ABOUT WORKING ON IT. RAY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB COMPLETING THE WORK AND WAS ALSO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TRULY SEEMED TO ENJOY WHAT HE DOES FOR A LIVING. THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH ANTIQUES AND REFINISHING SO I REALLY AM NOT SURE IF PRICE AND TIMING WERE GOOD OR NOT. HOWEVER, THE PRICE WAS WORTH IT FOR THE WONDERFUL JOB THEY DID. THE WORK TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND LONGER THAN THEY ESTIMATED BUT AGAIN IT WAS WORTH THE FINAL PRODUCT. I LIKED WORKING WITH ANTHONY'S SO MUCH I HAVE ALREADY BROUGHT MORE ITEMS FOR THEM TO WORK THEIR MAGIC ON.

FINAL PRODUCT IS EXCEPTIONAL. THE WORK TOOK LONGER THAN WAS ESTIMATED AT THE START, HOWEVER WE FEEL IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT.

THEY CAME AND PICKED UP THE PIECE AND THEN BROUGHT IT BACK WHEN FINISHED, WHICH WAS NICE. IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

I LIKED WORKING WITH THE COMPANY AND COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THE END PRODUCT. TONY WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. MY ONLY COMMENT IS THEY SEEM TO HAVE A LOT OF WORK AND YOU NEED TO KEEP UP WITH THE STATUS OF YOUR PROJECT OR IT MAY SIT. THIS IS NOT A QUICK PROCESS. KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THEM!

QUALITY SERVICE. ANTHONY IS DELIGHTFUL. PICK-UP and DELIVERY WENT EXACTLY AS SCHEDULED. DIFFICULTY MAKING INITIAL CONTACT, APPARENTLY A PERSONNEL ISSUE, AFTER INITIAL CONTACT HE WAS RESPONSIVE.

TONY OF ANTHONY'S LTD WAS PROMPT AND PLEASANT. HE WROTE AN ESTIMATE AND EXPLAINED THE WORK RECOMMENDED. TONY CALLED 6/4 ABOUT RETURNING THE TWO CHAIRS AND WAS PROMPT TO RETURN THEM, AS PROMISED.
