Have you ever won the lottery? If you have yet to do so, once you work with these folks you will feel as though you did. The people at Alpine are the consummate professionals. They are polite, knowledgeable, meticulous, clean and just all-around good hard-working guys. You would think that with all that heavy equipment and digging, the surrounding yard/lawn would be a mess. Not the case with Alpine. The way they dug around the garage apron and surrounding lawn you would think they were archeologists digging through Middle Eastern ruins with a toothbrush. Everyone else bid this job as a two day project but these guys worked one VERY long day to get the job done. I took bids from the top 3 companies on Angies List and had lengthy conversations with each. The people at Alpine seemed the most knowledgeable and the best price. No subs. The two company owners work side-by-side with their long time employees. The employees seemed very happy and all said this was the best company to work for. One of them said they had worked at several others but these were by far the most thorough and it certainly shows.

My contact person in the office was Dawn Reid who was great to work with. She answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. Everyone that I dealt with was wonderful at their piece of the job. I received a call the Friday before work was to begin to confirm our appointment as well as early the morning that the work was to be done. The crew foreman gave me a two hour window in which they would arrive and begin work. They were prompt and worked very hard. It was a warm and humid day so I know that it was not the most comfortable weather for them to be working in. It was interesting to watch the process. Every truck had it's purpose as well as every person working. It was very well organized. Every one of the crew were respectful and easy to work with. They cleaned up so well and actually left the roads and my garage floor cleaner than when they arrived. Some of my neighbors also were watching the crew work, were very impressed and have asked me for information on the company. I most certainly would not hesitate to use this company again. The driveway comes with a 5 year guarantee so we will see what happens over this period of time.

Our experience with Alpine Asphalt was great. We were able to contact them, and get an estimate very quickly, even though it was early in the season. Paul worked around our schedule--and kept us well informed of when they would be coming out to complete the work. They completed all of the work described above, and did an excellent job. My husband was very impressed with how clean they were around the edges--no black on the adjoining concrete sidewalk or garage edge. This is the best job we have ever had done on the driveway, and we will definitely use Alpine again in the future.

UPDATE AS OF 9.13.13 Paul called several times before the end of the season to schedule a redo of the driveway but at this time there was much activity in the neighborhood due to the hail storm in August. Because of the driveway configurations where I live, that often involved trucks and cars backing in my driveway so this was not a good time for the redo and Paul promised to take care of this in the spring if there is still a problem. *UPDATE AS OF 7.23.13* Poor quality re-do: see photo. Driveway was damaged by a neighbor's tow truck, so Paul re-sealcoated and re-billed me. After waiting more than three days - long past the quoted time - I finally parked in my garage and discovered tire tracks from doing so. These tracks accumulated over the next day's driving. I kept in touch with Paul after the tracks appeared and he said that the tracks would just go away and that I should just continue to drive on it. He told me to keep driving on it for the next 30 days - that the marks were happening becuase "my road is dirty" (this is a normal suburban road - and water did not remove the tracks), and if the problem persisted that he would return to repair the damages. Review will be updated after the 30 days. *Original Review* He had great service. First they prepared the driveway by clean-trimming the edges, sweeping, and at no charge filled a small hole at my request. Paul was very pleasant and seemed concerned about quality work. He even mailed a follow-up thank you postcard.

Alpine Asphalt had good pricing and completed the project in a short amount of time. I am impressed with how quickly they were able to remove the existing driveway and install the new one. They took care of pulling the permit from the city for us and they have a five year guarantee on their work. I highly recommend them. They are highly professional and easy to work with.

Brian and his crew did a very nice job of both replacing and improving the grade of my asphalt driveway. I got 5 bids for this project from Angie's list. Although Alpine was not the low bid, they had a 5-year guarantee and they also impressed me as having understood the problem with the current slope/grade of the driveway that I wanted them to remedy. They promised to perform the work within 3 weeks of the signed contract and they did. The crew was pleasant, professional and efficient. They spent extra time working with me to correct the grade problem and used their equipment to slope the edges of the yard where it abuts each side of the driveway. This will make it much easier for me to plant new grass next to the lowered driveway. I was completely satisfied with their work. I was also happy that I used Angie's List to go through the process of getting 5 bids because there was a significant range in the pricing. It was worth the small bit of extra time that it took.

They did an excellent job. Our research indicated that they used a good asphalt product with the 3 inch thickness we were looking for. The driveway looks great and one of their best selling points was that they were able to do it all at one time over about a six hour time frame. Both the owner and crew were very friendly and professional.

Contacted initially via email, they came out in a few days and determined what we needed and provided a quote. The quote was very competitive. They contacted us prior to the scheduled date for the work to confirm. They arrived on time with a complete crew and all the equipment they needed. A few hours later we had a new driveway. They were courteous and professional in their work. The driveway looks great.

I contacted Alpine Asphalt about a driveway replacement and they sent me an estimate over email after driving by to look at my driveway. They were scheduling about 3-4 weeks out and scheduled the work about four weeks after we accepted the estimate. At times they were a little hard to reach via email or phone but I was never in any urgent rush to make contact so I didn't mind the response time. When it came time to replace the driveway it was done super fast and well done. The workers were very professional and answered the few questions I had. I'm enjoying my new driveway this winter and would definitely recommend.

We selected Alpine because they offered a 5 year warranty vs. a 2 year warranty from the next closest competing bid. The Alpine bid was also $40 less than the next competetive bid. That competing bid offered a 2 year warranty. When we contacted to Alpine to accept the bid they were scheduling work 5-6 weeks out and that they would call within several days to firm up the date. Alpine actually called the morning of the 23rd to say they had an opening that afternoon if it would work for us. Alpine understood such short notice might not be convenient to us and we were not bound to have the work done that day. It did work out for us. All went well. A sprinkler head very close to the paved area was damaged. Alpine took responsibility for the repair of the sprinkler head without question. We are very pleased with the work and found Alpine to be pleasant and professional in our phone and email communications.

Alpine did a fantastic job and was so thorough and professional. I got a much lower bid but decided to go with Alpine because when I asked why they were charging more, they could tell me all the the careful preparation and good quality materials they use. It seems like a smaller company who can be trusted to do a good job.

We have had driveways sealcoated a number of times over the years. Alpine's seacoating is the best. We even had one company a couple of years ago tell us we needed 2 coats and the result wasn't as good as Apline's 1 coat. Received multiple bids before awarding Alpine the job and their pricing was very competitive.

Very precisely and conscientiously done. Reasonable price, beautiful job. The crew boss said if the rain that's predicted tomorrow washes any of the sealant off, they'll come back and reapply it.

The team was punctual, very efficient and did a very nice job. They also worked with the grading to ensure long life of our driveway. They are great!

Prompt and professional response for a quote, VERY competitive pricing, lowest bid of three quotes. We were in the north Minneapolis tornado and wanted to give our business to someone local. I haven't had much experience with contractors, so maybe this is par-for-the-course, my only minor complaint is at the time of the quote, we were told "about 2 weeks out" for the work to be completed. It was more like 6 weeks. They may have been super-busy with tornado jobs in the area. Once they arrived, it was AMAZING! A friendly and professional crew did the whole job in less than 3 hours. I was greatly impressed with the details, a beveled edge around the garden space and the grading so rain water would drain to the alley. All in all an A+ experience, and would recommend Alpine Asphalt to friends and family.

Outstanding. The driveway was better than I expected. Removal of the vegetation prior to sealing the cracks was greatly appreciated (unlike our experience with previous sealcoating companies). Highly recommended.

I called them and left a message describing the work to be done. In a few days they returned the call. I gave them the address and my email , and within a few days I had a written estimate. I had another estimate for the job. The two were with a few hundred dollars of each other. Alpine was the cheaper, and had a longer guarantee, we we selected them. Once we accepted the proposal, they called to schedule a date. At that time they were scheduling about three weeks in advance. That time did not work well for us, so we asked them to delay another two weeks. They had no problem with that, They showed up right on schedule and had the entire job done before 1:00. We are entirely satisfied with the work and several of our neighbors have made positive comments. Two items that caused mild concern. They are not the easiest people to get a hold of. They DO return phone messages, but not always the same day. The second was that I had nothing but phone contact up until the day the job was done. I would have been a bit more comfortable if I would have known when the estimate was going to be done so I could talk personally with them. However, I do want to emphasize that the finished job was very well done and we are very happy with the result.

They were very specific and their estimate was straight forward. They showed up on time and got the job done in less than 4 hours. I was happy with them.
