Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair

It went very well. I have used this company before. Al is friendly, professional, and experienced so he knows what he is doing. He is very efficient and pleasant to work with. When you call, you might have to wait a day for a response, but he will always get back to you. So if you need an emergency repair ASAP, this might not be for you.

Traded voicemails regarding refrigerator repair, but after leaving my make and model information I never got a call back. I'll try a more responsive company.

I called Al yesterday to fix our 8-year-old gas GE oven, which was not heating on the 'bake' setting (I could use the stove top & broiler, but not the bake feature). I left a message late morning, and he called back late afternoon. We set up an appt for today; I was happy he could come out so quickly. He was friendly, considerate (took off his shoes even though I told him he didn't have to), knowledgeable (he's been doing this 30+ years), punctual, and seemed honest. From my description on the phone, he diagnosed the problem and was correct. He arrived on time, having given me a 1.5 hour window. He called from his previous job before he came over. It only took about 15 minutes total for him to fix the problem. The price seemed really fair to me, and he had great 'people' skills to boot. I will definitely call Al again if I am in need of an appliance repair.

I left a message on Monday morning after our dryer started having issues on Sunday. My called rolled into and I never received a call back. I ended calling another contractor to come out.

Al was great to work with from start to finish. He works alone and often doesn't answer his phone, but will call back later the same day. He has been doing appliance repair for over 30 years and seems to know the ins and outs of everything. He has been doing it so long that he really knows the machines and told me how he has fixed things that younger/inexperienced repairmen couldn't. He was very efficient and spared no time getting to work and solving my problem. I will be keeping his info and will not hesitate to contact him in the future.

I phoned and spoke with Al, the owner. Our oven had stopped working and he said that it was likely in need of a new igniter. If that proved to be the cause the cost would be about $150. We set up an appointment for the next day and Al came and repaired the oven. His phone diagnosis was correct and the repair cost $145. We feel very fortunate to have found this knowledgeable and skillful individual and his business.

Al was great. Gave me a call back within an hour of calling at 7am on a Monday morning. Went above and beyond to accommodate my situation and availability. Called ahead on the day of the appointment to make sure we were home and expecting him. Arrived on time, performed the service within an hour. Actual price of the repair was slightly less than the quote. Would use Al again.

I chose Absolutely Guaranteed based on other comments on Angie's list. My wife was at the appointment when Al showed up. My wife stated he was the nicest guy and was very informative. The cost to repair was significantly high due to the type of work that needed to be done. Therefore, we didn't have it repaired. However, the service call was reasonably priced and we will use this company for future appliance repairs. Thanks Al.

Al has done a few repairs for me and has always done a great job. When my water softener broke, I immediately called him. He called me back within the hour even though it was late in the day and let me know that I would have to get a plumber to fix it. I wish Al could do all my repairs. He is nice and fairly priced and doesn't give me the heebie jeebies like a lot of work men I have had come to my house.

Yes, I did need to call a few times to get Al (3 times total, I believe, but hey, give him a break: he is a one man shop. so he doesn't have a receptionist sitting there waiting for calls to come in -- he is out working on peoples machines! He did get back to me in a day. And in my case, I had had the problem for little a while. It wasn't an "emergency") He asked some very specific questions on the phone, so he could do his research prior to coming -- this way, he came in prepared and was able to get right to work and had it fixed in a very short time. The price was excellent (the final cost with parts was less than just the entry service call price at other places). It was fixed on the first visit and I haven't had any issues since. I was very pleased and would call him again.

Fridge broke on the weekend. Called them at 8am Monday morning and left message. Call returned within 15 minutes by the owner, Al. Refrigerator cooling fan diagnosed and repaired by Monday at 5pm. friendly, informative, reasonable. nuf said.

Al came on time, on short notice, troubleshot our range/oven and changed out the ignitor within a couple of hours. He was very friendly and professional. Fantastic job!! I recommend them without reservation!

I was having problems with my dishwasher so I called to have them come out and take a look. No one answered, but I left a detailed message. Never heard back.

I checked Angie's List on Sunday evening, 4/10/11, for garbage disposal repair and found glowing reports of this company. Accordingly I left a message on their answering machine concerning a need for such service and requested a call back during normal business hours. To my surprise I did not hear from them Monday morning so called again on Monday afternoon, 4/11/11 leaving a similar message. Again, I didn not get any call back that day nor Tuesday, 4/12/11. On Wednesday, 4/13/11, I opted to give them one more chance and called in the morning between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. By noon I still hadn't heard from them - and yes, my cell phone does have a working answering component in case I miss calls - so decided to write this report. It is a mystery to me but, for whatever reason, they no longer deserve "king of the hill" status; their services is abysmal.

We called twice and never received a return phone call. Then we called the appliance parts number and didn't receive a call back.

I called due to the great reviews, and I was happy to have a similarly positive experience. My call was answered promptly and Al was able to come out in a time that worked with my work schedule. He was professional, timely, friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived right on time and troubleshooted the problem. I was lucky that no parts were needed since sometimes, obscure parts need to be ordered, which would require a follow-up visit. Al fixed the problem and did a quality check to ensure the dishwasher was back in working order. I would definitely recommend this company and I plan to use the company again as my aging appliances continue to need a little TLC.

Refrigerator/Freezer quit working overnight. The owner came out the same day and actually fixed the part as opposed to replacing it. He had researched it ahead of time and figured out that a portion of the motherboard had burned out.. a $200 part. I have to admit, I was skeptical and probably would have told him to replace the part had I been at home when he came ( my husband was here). I can report that three weeks later it is still working.

We were very pleased with Al's service. We were afraid we would have to buy a new frig, but Al was able to repair it.

Our washer and dryer are upstairs under a counter top with VERY little room to move. Al was luckily able to move the washer out enough to squeeze in between to connect the vent. Al was highly professional and showed me the problem and how he repaired it. I highly recommend him!

This is the second time that Al has serviced our washing machine (he replaced the timer in 2007). We are very fortunate to have found this guy. He does all of his own work and has over 30 years of experience. He called before coming out according to the time window that he told us. He worked quickly and chatted with us most of the time he was working. Our washing machine is in a closet off of the kitchen. The linoleum floor is very soft and mars easily. We supplied a piece of cardboard, and Al was very careful to keep the machine on that when he pulled out the washer to work on it. Al had estimated the cost to be $125 when I called so he was right on this estimate considering that we bought hoses (for $16) in addition to the original work planned, and he took time to install the hoses and lubricate whatever it was that was causing the problem with the tub noise. Al is a very friendly guy and seems to really know his stuff. We will definitely call him for our next appliance repair.

Al is as honest and reliable as they come. I called to report a dryer that wouldn't start. Al came out promptly to look at it and it turns out that there was nothing wrong with the dryer, the plastic handle to the dryer had cracked and wasn't turning the knob. He fixed the current handle so I could use it in the meantime, ordered a new handle and charged me minimally for the visit, so the largest cost was my pride (and even then, Al was very gracious and understanding). Even followed up when he placed the order for the new handle to let me know when it would arrive. I can't say enough about the great experience -- there was an opportunity for a service man to take advantage of the situation and he went above and beyond to do an exceptional job where other repair servicemen might've charged upwards of $150 just for the visit.

Al is top notch. He talked me out of repairing my washer in favor of new one (cheaper in the long run) and also offered insight as to good, better, best models available. I will use Al for any appliance repair need I have.

Dryer burner would not remain on. Al diagnosed problem and replaced valves. He also examined the original belt and said it was not worn or damaged so no need to replace. Al explained what was broken and how he would fix it, gave hints on maintaining dryer operation and answered other appliance related questions. Great work and great service.

Al's awesome. The cost of the job was very reasonable, he was prompt, and I enjoyed his explanations of what he was doing. I feel like I learned a lot about my stove and oven!
