+ -1 moreI was very pleased with the service. Al responded quickly after I left a phone message; he was able to come out the next day. He made the repairs to my satisfaction and was nice, polite and professional.
Description of Work: Dishwasher would fill with water, but would not wash the dishes. Al replaced the pump and also replaced a broken latch on the front of the dishwasher.

+ -1 moreAl Ligons returned my call promptly. He was on time and polite. When a first visit did not eliminate the problem he returned promptly, although not the same day. I was not so happy having to wait a week for the part and the final total was very nearly the cost of a new dishwasher. He also fixed a valve that started to leak while he was working. So he did good work, but it cost a lot- but there was a lot of work to do. I wouldn't buy a Frigidaire dishwasher again. It is not a quality appliance- that is not Al's fault.
Description of Work: When Al Ligons came to fix the dishwasher, which is only 2 years old, he found a screw that had come loose (from when it was installed) and had caught in the pump which was jamming the water flow. He removed the screw, put the dishwasher back together, and turned it on. It seemed to be working when he left. Unfortunately within a few minutes it quit. When Al came back and checked further, he found the motor had been ruined by the screw. He had no part. He ordered it and it came the next week. This time it stayed fixed.

He confirmed that the igniter needed replacement and he changed it, explaining to me how everything worked in the process. He was very friendly and did a neat job. The final bill was slightly under his original estimate.
Description of Work: My kitchen range oven wouldn't light and I needn't a home service call to fix it.

This is the first time I have used Absolutely Guaranteed and I will definitely call on him for future repairs. Al even gave me a slight discount off the price he quoted over the phone.
Description of Work: Al repaired my GE Profile convection oven. I was having intermittent issues with the oven and getting error codes on the display. I called Al and discussed the repair options with him, he got a price quote for me and ordered parts with my okay. He came out when he said he would be here and made the necessary repairs. He replaced both the control panel and the main electronic control board.

+ -1 moreMr. Ligons was on time for both visits, let me know in advance what costs would be, and got my door fixed! His second visit to actually do the repair (after getting a part) was just a few days after the first visit, so the work was done in a timely manner. Mr. Ligons answered all my questions, and laid the two repair options out clearly. I highly recommend him!
Description of Work: Mr. Ligons made two visits to our home to repair a refrigerator door. It wasn't closing tightly, and was sagging. He evaluated the problem, and gave me a choice of two solutions, one more expensive but perhaps more permanent. I chose the less expensive alternative since the fridge is 25 years old! The door now works fine, no longer sags, and is sealed tightly.

+ -1 moreVery happy with service. Only thing that wasn't perfect was he said he'd be here between 12-2 and called at quarter to 2 to say he was on the way. Didn't quite make it by 2. But I'd definitely call again for any of my appliances. Diagnosed the problem in a snap and didn't have a belt in his van, so called to see if he could pick one up. Came back right away with the part and double checked that everything was working fine. Very fast and friendly. Price was great.
Description of Work: Replaced the tumbler belt on our older GE dryer.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with Al. He pretty much had to completely dismantle my dryer to get to the rollers. He was friendly and professional. It's been 3 weeks since he serviced our dryer, and it's as quiet as when we purchased it 12 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.
Description of Work: Our clothes dryer was making a terrible high pitched noise. Al had to remove 2 covers, the belt, and the drum to get to the rollers, and oiled them up. I was amazed that he was able to do all this in about an hour.

Description of Work: My gas dryer was not heating. Al replaced the part immediately and the dryer functions normally now. He may have been in a rush, as he squeezed me in, or because I had everything pulled out and vent hose disconnected before he arrived. I would liked to have the dryer vent hose reconnected.

+ -1 moreFabulous experience! I phoned Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair on Friday afternoon. A repair appointment was made for Monday morning between 9-11. Al phoned me Monday morning to let me know he was on the way and he arrived on time. My oven was fixed and the front glass panel replaced. The work was done quickly and professionally. Al told me to let him know if the oven locked up again. I would hire Al again without hesitation!

He could have told us we had a major problem and put in an expensive part, and we wouldn't have known the difference, but he didn't. Also, he was on time and even called when he was on the way. He is a real gem!
Description of Work: Our dishwasher was not cleaning well because detergent wasn't dissolving and hardened in the cup. Luckily, it was something simple. Al cleaned our spray arms and filter, and it's as good as new! Al also checked our dryer because it hasn't been drying well.

Description of Work: The gas lighting element in the drier quit working on a Saturday. We called several companies, and the only one to answer first thing on Monday morning before 8:00 am was Absolutely Guaranteed. They offered to come by that day, but neither my husband nor I could accommodate them because of our work schedules. They then came by the following day when my husband could be here. They were within the 2 hour time scheduled, called ahead, and completed the work within 30 minutes.
