Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair

Our washer, an older Sears Kenmore, started making an awful clunking noise whenever it went into the spin cycle. Al was able to come out the next day, promising to arrive between 10 am and noon. He called a half hour ahead, and actually arrived early, which was great. He partially filled the washer to hear the noise, which didn't happen without clothes in it, but when he set it to drain, immediately knew the belt was slipping because it didn't start draining immediately. He moved the washer away from the wall, found a nut on the floor, and quickly identified that it had come from the bolt holding one side of the motor bracket. He replaced the nut, inspected and tightened the belt, tested the washer with clothes in it, everything was good. He was done and gone by 10:15! We were charged the minimum housecall, $85, and didn't need any parts.

Al Ligons was able to come out the next day after my call and was very personable. Because I had mentioned that the machine was about one year old, he wanted me to double check the purchase date and asked to review the dishwasher warranty before starting repairs. He determined it was no longer under warranty repaired my dishwasher. Because I told him it was about 1 years old, he wanted me to double-check the purchase date and asked to see the guarantee before beginning work. We determined it was no longer under warranty, and he opened up the inside and cleaned out the debris. He explained what he was doing as he went along and offered to show me how to get to the spot to clean it out in case it became clogged again. After he made the repair, he checked the various operating cycles of the dishwasher to make sure everything was working well. I would definitely use him again and was very satisfied with this experience.

Very well. Al was understanding about a mistake on my part that caused him to have to come out a second time, called ahead both times, arrived on time, arrived with the parts needed, did the work and was an interesting conversationalist. The price was exactly as quoted.

Al arrived on time, calling ahead as promised. He was able to complete the repair in a day, working hard to fit me in around his other calls that day so that we could have a working washer. He gave an estimate and even though the job took longer than he might have anticipated, he stuck with his estimate. Excellent, reliable service.

Al was great. Another company came out and was unable to repair the dryer, and they came up with silly excuses and still charged us $60.00 for nothing. Al came out, immediately knew what was wrong and quickly fixed it. He was punctual, courteous and most of all a true professional repair technician. Al took the time to explain everything he did and he also gave good advice on how to make the dryer more efficient. All in all a very good experience.

Agitator in washer stopped working. Al came over quickly to look at it, researched warranty info, ordered parts, did repair the next day with parts covered under warranty. Al did a great job and was pleasant to have around.

I called Al and described the problem and he was very polite and gave me an estimate over the phone and was able to set up a time to come out and service the dishwasher the following day. Al called before he showed up and actually arrived early. He assessed the problem and was able to get the dishwasher back up and running in less than 1/2 an hour. He also checked for any other problems and cleaned up after he was finished. The final bill was the same as the estimate, no surprises. I will definitely call Al if I have any future appliance problems.

I called in the morning and was given a 2 hour time frame in which he would come in the early afternoon. He called about mid day and fine tuned his arrival time, so I was able to go out and get some errands done before he came. He came on time. The repair was done quickly and he left no mess. This is the second time I have called him and both times the work has been completely satisfactory.

Al was able to work on the oven the following day after I called. He arrived within the time window he had estimated, calling me beforehand to narrow the window. He examined the oven and let me know what was wrong and how he would fix it. I asked him if I could observe, to learn more about my 1930's appliance and he agreed and graciously answered all my questions.

I called to set up an appointment to have my dishwasher repaired. He was on time and very personable. He did an excellent job, and I would call him again for any repair I might need.

Al was fantastic. Knowledgeable, polite, and courteous. Al checked several areas before replacing any parts as he was genuinely interested in fixing only what was broken and keeping total costs down. Problem ended up being a slightly frozen water line which he cleaned out and then reattached in a location that would help avoid freezing in the future. I am very glad I called Al and would unhesitatingly give him my highest recommendation for appliance related repair work.

Al was very prompt and pleasant to deal with. While we thought we would need a new garbage disposal, Al saw that we just had a penny jammed in it. He had to work hard to get it out but did so and saved us a ton. He saw that our "burned out" microwave light was actually caused by a loose circuit board wire, and he fixed that too. We found Al through Angie's List and highly recommend him.

I would use him again. He was in and out, he knew how to get parts. He was very good!

Al came over within 1/2 hour. It was a fluke that he happened to be right by my house. He told me to make sure I didn't make people think it will happen that quick again!! He checked the circuits, breakers, and the back of the refrigerator. He pulled the refrigerator out and let me vacuum while he had it out and then he put it back without damaging my floor. The fridge is working now.

Al came to our home the day after I spoke to him, he worked with us on the time-frame as we couldn't be home earlier than 3:30. I did not remember the make of our fridge as we just moved in and I called him from work. He asked many questions about the problem and seemed very knowledgeable. When he said that he may have to order parts. I asked if that meant he would charge for two visits, and he said no. He did need to get parts, so was coming the following day to finish the job before the weekend. Al called and was stuck in traffic, so he came on Monday. Our fridge is fixed and it was done quickly. Al was very personable on the phone and what he charged seemed fair.

Al was able to make it here the day after I called. He called ahead of time to say he would be here a bit late due to the weather. He was very professional and had several suggestions. He also fixed the door of the dishwasher which had been broken for years!

I called Al and told him the problem. He said that it might be as simple as a fuse, or it could be more complicated and may actually not be worth the money to look at. He told me to check out microwave prices and get back to him if I thought it was worth it. I had him come and check it out, thinking that if it was a fuse I was money ahead. Unfortunately, it was more than a fuse. I've used Absolutely Guaranteed before - Al is thorough, professional, easy to talk to, always thinking about how to make something cost less for the customer.

This was the 2nd time I have had them and they are great. He is very friendly. He is trustworthy and honest.

Al was very friendly on the phone. He called my work phone (as I asked him to) about 15 minutes before showing up, giving me the opportunity to miss a minimum of work. He appeared promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem. He didn't have the necessary part in his van, but he made a call to a local parts supplier. The part was in stock at the supplier, so he left to get it. He returned promptly, replaced the part, and the oven works again. It was a very positive experience from start to finish.

I was very pleased. I was about to buy a new stove based on the misdiagnoses of American Appliance. They told me the timer had failed and it was unavailable. I found one through the Internet, but it still didn't work so I decided to get another opinion. Al found the real problem and fixed it.

Al was available more quickly than any other repair service to come and fix our oven. He was very neat, polite, helpful and suggested two options; one of unknown duration and less expensive and one very expensive. He did not push either option and left the decision up to us.
