Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair

I was extremely pleased. This was my first time using a recommendation from Angie's list and I have to say I was impressed. Al was extremely professional and knows his stuff. He explained every step he was doing and kept me apprised. He was neat and efficient. I will definetly use his company for any appliance work I have.

I was impressed that he answered the phone when I called rather than having an answering machine. Since the refrigerator had stopped working over the weekend, I was very happy that he was able to come out that same morning to look at it. It didn't take him long to discover the problem. While it is hard to have to pay for the service call when we were going to have to pay for a new refrigerator/freezer, I understand it's necessity.

Our dryer stopped working suddenly. We called Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair and they actually answered the phone (the other companies we called took us straight to voice mail.) They gave us a two hour appointment window the next day. Al showed up in the middle of the two hour window he'd specified on the phone. He identified the problem quickly (failed door sensor) and installed a new sensor. The work was quick and professional.

He is very prompt and professional. He goes out of his way to accommodate what you're looking for. I've used him many many times and have never been disappointed.

Diagnosed washing machine malfunction - the motor died and is no longer available to replace. I appreciated that he explained up front on the phone before coming over that if it is the motor I will need to purchase a new machine and did I still want him to diagnose. I decided to take the $ risk and have it diagnosed to see if repair was possible.

We called Al based on the reviews on Angie's list. He was able to come out the next day during our preferred time of day. He gave a 2-hour window, which was convenient, and showed up on time. He quickly determined the problem (we didn't know what was wrong with the washer) and made the fix. Although we hadn't asked him about it in advance, we had him take a look at our garbage disposal, which had also stopped working. It was just blocked, so he quickly fixed that for us and tacked on $5 to our bill. We'd definitely use him again! Great service!

I called and within 24 hours, he was here and diagnosed the problem as the lid control. It was fixed in less than half an hour at a very reasonable price. He was professional and clearly knows his business. I cannot recommend him enough-very pleased

He replaced the toggle and because I was interested, explained how it worked, (I had tried to fix it myself by checking a filter). He was fast and friendly and professional. When I mentioned the bleech draining out the bottom, but told him I didn't really want to pay to fix something I was fine doing mannally, he said no problem. He pulled off the front of the washer (hello drum!), allowed me to clean it out, reattached the kinked hose (which was bent toward the floor), checked out other stuff too. Since then the hose has detatched again, but now I know how to fix it myself (duct tape is my friend). I would highly recommend Al and I will use him again for appliance repair.

Second time we've called Al at Absolutely Guaranteed after a great initial experience. Our 15+ year-old 1/2 hp Emerson E80 garbage disposal was getting very noisy. When I called Al to set an appointment, he said it'd probably be either a simple fix (something stuck) or something bad (a system that old likely is better replaced). He was able to come within a day of my call. He thoroughly examined the disposal and recommended a replacement, which he said he could get within 3 days. We set up a second appointment on that Friday. He installed a 1/2 hp Kitchenaid quickly and efficiently.

Al was very easy to get a hold of and was able to set up an appointment right away. He was right within the time frame given, and even called when he was about 20 minutes away. He was cheerful and engaging and professional. He took time to explain to me and show me what had happened and where to clean the dust from the vents. I have 2 young children that were fascinated, and he even took the time to let them get down on the floor and look under the fridge with his flashlight to see the dust. After quoting me the price, he had the part with him and was able to replace it quickly and was done within an hour. He was knowledgeable about his job and the manufacturer of the part he was installing. He asked me what I wanted to do wtih the old motor and I said leave it on the table, he took the time to grab a napkin and set it on the napkin first. Very thoughtful. Would DEFINATELY recommend and DEFINATELY hire again.

He came when he said he would come, solved the problem, checked for proper operation. Very professional and polite. This is the second time we have used his services and are well pleased.

Excellent. Very competent. Reasonable. Easy to work with. Very very knowledgeable. Al correctly diagnosed that the dishwasher was fine mechanically but that we had a water softener issue. I have found my permanent appliance repair person!!

On 1-31-2010 my dryer stopped working in the middle of a cycle. I looked through Angies' List for an appliance repair service and found Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance. I called Al on Monday morning and we arranged a service call for Tuesday morning between 9:00am and 11:00am. Al called a few minuted before his arrival to let me know he was on his way. When Al arrived he quickly determined that the dryer vent was partially blocked and had caused the dryer to overheat, which caused the Thermal Fuse to blow. Al, replaced the Thermal Fuse (which he had on his truck) and also repaired the venting issue which caused the problem in the first place. Al was very professional and quite knowledgeable abut the issue at hand. He was also a pleasant person.

Overall, it went great. He arrived on time for both repair visits. He was friendly and professional. He didn't waste time and was very tidy. The only problem I have had is that I told him the new temperature regulator he installed in the oven is not registering what it claims it is based on my thermometer but he does not seem interested in testing the oven again to see if there is a problem with it.

Absolutely Guaranteed service was excellent in all aspects. I called three repair companies and Absolutely Guaranteed was the only one that would come out the day I called (the other two companies were two or three days out in scheduling). Al (the owner) gave a "worst-case estimate" plus two other scenarios over the phone based on my description of the problem, so I had a ballpark figure of the costs. Al came within the two-hour block of time he said he would (calling 10 minutes before actual arrival). He discovered the problem quickly and fixed it. Al also cleaned out a clogged filter within the chassis of the dryer (an overflow area from the dryer filter). And he noticed my washer was out of level, so he quickly fixed that too! Absolutely Guaranteed is prompt, professional and worth every penny. I would definitely use the company again.

I arranged a time with Al that worked for both of us. He called about 10 minutes before he arrived. He was prompt and then took his time to ensure he diagnosed the problem and fixed it by replacing a single part. He tested the dryer to ensure it worked properly prior to leaving. He was courteous, efficient, and professional. I will call him if I need an appliance repaired and I highly recommend this company.

This is the first time I have used Al Ligons/Absolutely Guaranteed Appliance Repair and I was very happy with them. I left a message for Al on Easter Sunday and he called back the same day while driving back from a trip. He asked me try several tests to better determine the problem and said that he would be out the following day with a timer and other parts that might be the problem. Al was very good at diagnosing the problem and did excellent work. I plan to continue using them for other appliance repair needs in the future.

A week prior to closing on our townhouse, our ice maker stopped making ice. We tried to fix it ourselves and replaced the motor and everything to no avail. Desperate to get it fixed before closing, I called Absolutely Guaranteed and he was able to come out in two days for a diagnosis of the issue. He assured me that it was very likely that once he diagnosed the issue, he could have parts the day after. Not only was he able to diagnose the issue, but was able to fix it on the spot, to my huge relief!

CALLED ON SEPT 24 AND AL SAID HE COULD COME OUT THE NEXT DAY BETWEEN 11:00 AND 1:00. HE CAME AT 1:30 AL WAS A VERY NICE MAN, AND DID VERY GOOD WORK. WILL HIRE AGAIN.

Our refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling. Al came and determined it was a burned out connection on the motherboard which powered the compressor. He was able to repair the connection for a much more reasonable price rather than having to replace the motherboard. The refrigerator is working great again. He was a really nice guy and a pleasure to work with.

My machine was making a funny noise and it wouldn't start. He came out within a couple of days and was very personable.
