Great installer was very professional

Overall it was a mixed bag with this project. We had an Angie's List Big Deal for a portion of the price. The owner, Joe Molde, told me the Big Deal brought the cost to where he was just breaking even on this project. The first time I set an appointment with him for an estimate, he did not show up. I called him and we reschedule. He admitted he forgot about the appointment. By the time we scheduled the work it was months later. I was expecting Joe to show up for the job, but someone else did. The office assistant didn't mention who would show up at our house. That would have been nice to know. Also, the guy was almost 2 hours late. When the appointment time came and went, we called the office but no one answered. We left a message and received a text from the office assistant with the owners number. We called him and left a message and never heard back. We didn't think anyone would show, but then someone did. He did a good job, but didn't have a permit. We needed the work to be done for a bedroom and were on a timeline due to expecting another child so we went ahead with the work anyway even though we felt a little uneasy. The window turned out okay. The next contractor said it was about an inch and a half short and the inspector might say something. The worker also did not have a screen for the window. When I asked about it he said he'd take $20 off and I could get one at Home Depot, which I did. He did not provide an invoice or receipt. When I called the owner to say his worker showed up and ask for an invoice, he called me back and said he would send one. I never, to this day, received an invoice from this company. They lack professionalism, punctuality, and customer service skills. We will never use them again and we don't recommend them to anyone.

Did a good job for a good price. Took his employee a few hours to do the work, but I had to call a few times to get him to come to my house. The delay was probably the result of a small job.

When purchasing the "Angie's List Deal" I was not aware the price offered did not cover completion of the entire project. Perhaps this was noted somewhere in the ad, but if it was I missed it. This makes me reluctant to purchase any future Deals. The price covered in the Deal was for completion of approximately 1/2 of the project of installing an egress window. In order to complete the project we learned at the time of Joe's first estimate visit we would have to pay an additional $500 to get the window installed. Joe stated the cost for installation of an egress window is $1000, and the Deal was for $250 off the first $500 toward purchase of that service. Joe performed great work, but he was extremely difficult to reach. It took several emails & calls before he would respond. Once we were able to reach him and agree on a date to meet, things went much better. The work was completed promptly, completely and on time. He offered suggestions to improve the drainage around the window, which probably has solved the problem - Spring rains will let us know for certain. I feel I can definitely recommend Joe's quality of work once the project is agreed upon, but you have to be persistent reach him to get the job set up.

Spoke with Joe on the phone to put in drain tile and egress window. He offered a reasonable price and with good reviews on here at the time went with him. They came out and put the egress window in first then a few days later the drain tile. Joe did a lot of complaining because my basement was harder to break up then normal. It took him a few days and a lot of hard work to get it done. He did damage a few stairs in the process and my driveway on way out. Overall I like the job they did for the price.

His crew showed up on time performed the work extremely fast! It turns out that they did not replace the drain tile as agreed to, but instead they just drilled new weep holes in the wall. They claimed to have corrected the pitch on the existing drain tile. There wasn't much I could do about it by then they had already poured the cement. I had concerns about one corner where they stopped the drain tile, but I was told it would not be an issue. Within a month we had heavy rain and that corner flooded. I called Joe Molde and after several conversations and emailing him pictures of the flooding, he agreed to come out and fix the problem. On the day they were supposed to come out they were a no show. I tried calling all his listed business numbers for weeks and was unable to reach him. And he has never responded to any of my email or voice mails. I eventually did all the work myself.

Mr Mode told me he would still honor the Angie's coupon after expiration. Great news! I'm going to wait until it warms up again in the spring. Thank you, Joe!

Outstanding work! I was really impressed especially for the price. These guys were much lower than other businesses I tried. They were all very professional and great to work with. The quality of workmanship was great too. I needed the work done immediately and they were able to finish everything within a few days from my call. I would highly recommend them.

I called for an estimate and was given one over the phone. It was also provided in writing per my request. I proceeded with the work as they were reasonably priced and could get the work done the soonest. I originally wanted an Anderson double casement window, but I agreed to a Marvin double casement window in order to get the work done sooner. They showed up about 3 weeks later than originally agreed upon (the time it would have taken to get the Anderson window). The guy who did the majority of the work did a great job, but on the last day he left all of his tools and scrap materials in my yard. I had to clean it up. If I hadn't it would have rained on their tools. 2 days later the owner shows up to collect the tools and payment. He gave me a big speil about his secretary and how he had to fire her. I was caught off guard by him showing up and not contacting me first. I ended up paying him before I verified the work had passed inspection. I also realized that I ended up getting 2 single casement windows, rather than 1 double casement window. This was not noticeable from the inside, but was apparent, when I jumped down into the outside hole. I also found out the next day he never pulled the permit and I have was never able to reach him again. He did not returned emails or phone calls. I cut my losses, obtained my own permit and moved on. Overall the installers did a great job, but I believe I was overcharged for the work I agreed to have done. The cost of a double casement window is significantly higher than 2 single casement windows. Plus they never paid for a permit. The owner is very unprofessional and would not hire or refer him.

Joe was response and his bid was very competitive. While the work wasn't performed at the time, I plan on using him to install the window in the spring.

They came in and did the job and mentioned they did not offer warranties but assured me I had no worries. They got a permit for the job but it wasn't completed until April 20th. A couple weeks ago we had a lot of rain and had a huge leak in the basement. We called them and voiced our concern with the secretary. He was supposed to come out the next day and he was a no call no show. When we called back he gave us an excuse about their internet was down. He ended up coming out the following day and said that he could fix the job. They offered to come out on that Friday and the crew was a no call no show again. I called back on the following Tuesday. In the mean time the permit inspector came out and the work that was done failed inspection. I still have not heard back from them on when they can come out.

I was very pleased with Joe's pricing and his work. He was flexible working with us on or slightly unique design needs and did not jack up his pricing unreasonably to meet these special needs. He did run into a challenge with delays with his window supplier (not is fault). But he kept me up to date as he worked through that challenge. Once he was able to start work, he and his crew worked quickly and meticulously to install the window and the well very professionally. The results are above our expectations. I would recommend him to anyone needing an egress window.

Joe and his team were smart, fast and responsive. I was completely satisfied.

Joe gave me an estimate over the phone based on the square footage of our basement which I already had from another basement contractor's written estimate. The price he quoted me was nearly $2000 less than his closest competitor. What impressed me was his honesty - he listed the exact cost of materials and labor and what his profit would be on the job. He gave me a start date approx a month from the phone call and his crew arrived on the day at the time he stated they would. His crew prepped the basement with plastic and covered the carpet. They also demo'd and removed a broken basement shower and removed the toilet for us for an additional $100 which we had agreed upon previously. Start to finish it took his crew 2 days for our 98 ft basement. They were very accommodating and were happy to allow me to take pictures of the progress including measuring the slope from the high point to the low point of the sump to ensure water would move quickly through the system Stating "we stand by our work." On the morning of day 3 Joe came by and cleaned up all the excess material outside on the street and patched a spot on the concrete block that I did not find aesthetically pleasing. (yes I am that picky) I would definitely hire Joe again, and plan to when it comes time to install our basement egress windows. I would also recommend him to others. Overall GREAT value for the $$$$.

Joe was prompt, on time clean proffesional and very imformative throughout the whole process. Work was done quickly, all dirt was removed from the property, sidewalks were cleaned and swept and no garbage was left at the house. The window looks great and the I would recommend Joe and his service to anyone that needs egress work done. He can do many styles of wells from cedar steps and planters to just the plain metal insert. A+++++ work and experience.
