Good Stuff Moving

On time, fast, and efficient. Would use them again if I need to move. Highly recommend to others.

The two fellows that moved us were very punctual and polite. They started right in, and clearly were not dragging their feet. They were also very careful with everything. They came with plastic wrap for item with drawers and the mattress. Unfortunately it took longer than expected as we failed to indicate when booking the job that an elevator would be involved. That being said, the price was still very reasonable, and they did the move fairly quickly, considering what they were up against. Brent - who I assume runs the show - is also incredibly friendly! I just booked another job with him, and he proactively offered their new, lower rate. He made their schedule work with mine even though I was flexible, and when he was done he thanked me for the business. What a great guy, and what a great local operation that definitely deserves to be supported.

We had a storage unit full of furniture and boxes to move into an apartment. We had to decide what moved and what stayed. Sometimes we changed our mind but these 2 guys just did as we asked and never "copped an attitude". Once the truck was ready they followed us to the apartment building and started right in. They were very courteous to the residents they encountered while waiting for an unoccupied elevator. The guys never took a break and they completed the move earlier than I expected. So I asked if they could stay with us a bit longer, one of them called the boss and he oked them for another hour. That hour helped us so much. We were able to contract for a smaller storage unit within feet of our big one. The guys moved everything over and neatly arranged it. That saved us time and money. It was worth paying them to do that.

They showed up on time, and began working right away. I went through the house with them showing them what needed to be moved and I believe they remembered almost everything I told them. They wrapped and loaded all furniture pieces fairly quickly and didn't bump or scratch anything. After a short lunch stop they arrived at the new house and set up and unloaded. They asked me where I wanted everything and did a good job placing it. The whole move took 6 hours which I paid them for plus gave them a tip.

Very professional and courteous. The 3 employees were helpful and never complained about 2 flights of stairs. We had everything in boxes by the time they arrived and as a result, the move took about 2 hours less than they estimated. Extremely pleased with the level of service.

The two mowers were very professional, courteous, and careful. They were a half hour early, so they called to informed me and waited in the driveway until I arrived. They listened to and followed instructions about disassembling the cabinet set and were very careful in handling them. They had to carry it up a flight a stairs from the basement. At the other residence, they assembled the cabinet set and it looks great!

The experience went great. They were just very professional. They did a great job packing and moving things without damaging it. They were pretty quick too.

When they found out that we had too much for one truck, they brought in another with no problem. They SOLVED the problem, not created one.

The fellas arrived on time, padded all the furniture and moved it to the new house all within about three hours. No issues or problems. Thanks guys

I did all my own packing, and had taken apart beds etc to be as ready as possible prior to the move date. Estimation and packing up went well, except that I had to carry 10 glass doors and table tops in my car because they did not fit in the van. 3 strong men showed up and worked hard. At the delivery 2 days later, only 2 of the men were there and they were anxious to get back home. They were exhausted, and I felt sorry for them. After they left several things were not done, door that had been taken off hinges was not replaced, and boxes for upstairs were left downstairs.Overall I was pleased despite their comments that I needed to have a rummage sale!

The two Good Stuff movers, Matt and Kipper, arrived at my apartment at approximately 8:00 a.m. and began assessing what was to be moved. They then began wrapping and moving furniture into the moving truck. They took apart my queen size bed and moved it. They took special attention to carefully wrap my curio cabinet which was all glass, with extra padding and shrink wrap. They moved the previously packed boxes of items and all of the furniture into the moving truck. When we arrived at my townhome they asked me to tell them where each item was to be placed, including all boxes and furniture. They also set up my queen size bed for me.They were both very helpful and curteous and worked very hard. As I was very stressed over the moving event, I especially appreciated their helpfulness and curteous manner.

Very detailed info provided over the phone prior to the move. Movers (2) arrived on time & were very polite, well dressed & professional. They had a genuine interest in moving everything in a timely manner, but also with care. They worked fast, but not at a frantic pace. The result was an efficient move at a comfortable pace. I have moved numerous times in the past with mixed results. I would highly recommed Good Stuff for any move & will call them first in the future. Excellent overall experience.

I was their second job of the day, so an exact time couldn't be set. They called me, giving me a 30 minute warning, which was near the beginning of the time window they had quoted. As I pulled up at the seller's home, the Good Stuff truck was also arriving. Parker and John were fantastic. Even though it was hot & humid, and they had already done a move, they got right to work and didn't stop until it was all done. The furniture was draped in quilts and then shrink-wrapped. They were pleasant and friendly but didn't stand around and chat. The whole move was done in no time. They unwrapped all the pieces and put them where I wanted. The charge was right on the phone estimate. Parker and John were fantastic. Parker seemed to be the foreman; John was eager to do what was asked of him. I also really liked that when I spoke w/ one of the owners ahead of time, he told me his first priority was that none of his employees be injured. I liked that a company would put its employees' safety first!! I had no problems at all and will use them again if I have the need. Great experience!

These guys were great. Punctual and came in under the estimate I was given because they got done quicker. I could not have asked for a better experience. My family and friends were very thankful as well since they didn't have to help and won't have to in the future either. I refer these guys any chance I get and will hire again the next time I move as well.

The quote process was smooth. The representative was confident and friendly. They took care of everything and charged me a flat rate. When we reached Chicago there was a carnival and it was crowded, but they never complained. They were very nice and made me relax. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Excellent work. They arrived at 8:02 for an 8AM move. Professionally packed and disassembled large pieces of furniture. Loaded truck from third floor apartment without an elevator. Some of the pieces were extremely heavy. Drove to other side of town, unloaded, set up and reassembled pieces. Done by 10:30AM. No damage to anything. Worth every penny. Will not even bother to get estimates from anyone else next time.

Everything went well. I called on a Monday and they were able to do the move already the following morning. The crew called prior to arriving, was punctual, and took good care of the things they were moving and the area of the move. They were professional and respectful. Pricing was as described. The only, very minor, negative was that I never received an email confirmation of the scheduled move. Perhaps this was due to the short lead time.

I contacted the company to get a quote over the phone nearly a month before I needed their services. At that time, they were the highest-rated and cheapest service I found. They suggested (and I accepted) a three-man crew which would save time overall but be a little bit more per hour. I have never used a moving company before and thought it would be a time (and back) saver. There were no issues in scheduling the appointment and I was given a one-hour window (7:30-8:30) in which they would arrive on moving day. The crew arrived around 7:25 and let me show them what had to be moved. All three of them were very kind and personable. There were a few small children in the neighborhood that were intrigued by their truck and they took time to talk to them for a minute or so. Once they understood what had to be moved, they discussed their plan and got to work. After about 2 hours, I noticed their energy had faded and the crew began slowing down (walking slowly back to the house, chatting without moving things). I understand it was a warm day and it's a lot of work but I didn't like it when I was paying by the hour and they seemed to be taking their time. Once the large items were packed and secured, they took a half hour for lunch (which I was not charged for) then delivered everything to the new house. However, they did BREAK an old formica dining table that had been in my wife's family for 50-60 years. When they noticed it was broken, they informed us, showed the damage, but did not offer any solution besides calling the office on Monday. They moved it to the basement and continued working, again somewhat slowly, until they finished. When I contacted the company regarding my problems with their speed and broken table, the owner was very understanding and responsive. He offered to have an antique repair person attempt to fix the table (at their cost) and refunded a small portion of our service fee. Before speaking with him, I was fairly unhappy with the overall experience. However, after their response to my concerns, I feel this company is reasonable and tries to make their customers happy.

We did not choose them because it was a toss-up between them and another company but they gave us a good on-site quote - seemed thorough and professional with reasonable pricing.

We called for an estimate and their prices were comparable to other companies. We scheduled the move only a few days before. They were prompt, courteous and did an excellent job. We paid for two movers but got three. One of them was still in training so we were not charged for him. I would highly recommend them.

We talked while packing the things. They were great. They did a good job. I will score them A's across the board.

Good Stuff moving arrived on time, worked extremely hard, were friendly and made the day easy for us. The final tab was right on the estimate. Good stuff sent 4 stong men and 2 trucks for 8 hours. Other movers bid 2 men and 1 truck for 10 hours. They could not have done it. We couldn't be happier with Good Stuff.

I will never use another moving company (because there are some bad ones out there) Don't Hesitate!! These guys are the Best!! They will treat you and your furniture with the upmost respect. Good Stuff was unbelievable. I had already arranged with them to move me, but I experienced a family loss and needed to move two days earlier on a day when it snowed. With only ONE DAY of notice, they moved my move date to accommodate my loss. No discussion, no argument, they just did it. Then the guys came and they were wonderful. The move went so fast they were done before I had a chance to even realize it. Not only that but the crew was super-professional, funny and a real pleasure to deal with. All of my stuff was taken care of, and the house and floors were protected on a snowy day. At the end of the day not one single thing was lost, dented or scratched -- the move was unbelievably fast -- and the crew was a complete pleasure. I cannot thank them enough for making the move the best part of my week.

They answered my original call the same day and someone came over within a week to give me an estimate. They decided to use 2 trucks and 4 movers in order to expedite the move and to avoid piling furniture on top of furniture. The move was just a block away, so my husband and I had done all of the packing and moving of small items. Good Stuff moved all the furniture, large pieces, such as mirrors and rugs and larger boxes that we had packed. They cleaned out the basement and garage, too. The move into the home was a challenge for some of the larger pieces, but they somehow managed to get them through old, narrow doors and down a staircase with less than an inch to spare. The crew of 4 could not have been more professional. And they were courteous and friendly, The estimate was almost spot on. We would recommend them to anyone for a complete move or just to move a few pieces.
