Good Stuff Moving

They arrived a bit before scheduled and were very efficient getting everything loaded. The crew of 3 seemed to work well since 2 could work on a piece of furniture while the other was handling boxes, etc. The unloaded part of the truck before breaking for a quick lunch the finished unloading by mid afternoon. 1700 sqft house.

After yesterday I will never move heavy furniture again. These 2 young men from Good stuff were fast, friendly and on time. I can't say enough about these two young men. If you saw all the stuff they moved in about 3.5 hours you would be very impressed. It was the best $430 ever spent. I know that the management team from Good Stuff will read this assessment, I wish I could remember there names but I think you need to give these 2 guys a nice raise or at least a paid day off. Excellent. Prompt, quick, careful, and efficient.

The movers were very ogranized and did a great job. They brought the wardrobes in first so I could pack up my closet while the started loading the truck. They did a good job of wrapping up my living room, dining room, and bedroom set to make sure there wasn't anything broken. When we made it to the new location, they made sure to ask me where I wanted my items before they set them down. They didn't begin charging me until they arrived and stopped when they left. Another company that I received a quote from wanted to charge me from when they left their facility to the time they returned and they wanted to charge me because I had stairs. Good stuff moving didn't do any of that. They called me the night before to confirm and they showed up on time.

The team was very professional, they arrived on time and worked steadily. The Team leader checked with me at key points (prior to drive to the house, lunch, etc) and made sure we were in agreement on the amount of time they had spent up to that point. The entire job came in slightly under the original estimate (5.5 hours instead of 6), and that included time they spent trying to fit my old king size mattress and bed into a space they ultimately would not fit into. While it is easy to give a company high marks when everything goes well, Good Stuff Movers earned my rating by going above and beyond for handling a problem: my IKEA dining room table broke a leg in transit. I spoke with Paul, one of the company owners, and he gave me the option of either taking a discount on the whole move or letting their repair person fix it. I opted for the second choice, and Paul agreed that if the repair was not "100% correct", he would write me a check for another table. I admit I was skeptical about how good the fix would be, and I was prepared to agrue for a check; but when the table arrived I could not tell which leg had been repaired, it was truly 100% correct. They exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend them to anyone in the Twin Cities.

Everything went great. They worked fast, efficient and professionally. We would definitely use Good Stuff Moving again and have already recommended them to two relatives that will be moving soon.

I had a wonderful experience with Good Stuff Moving. They provided an estimate and came in a little lower than that when all was done. They were prompt, professional and worked efficiently to get the job done. They moved me from a 2 bedroom town home to another town home about 30 miles away in about 7 hours (including driving time). I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is looking for quality movers and I would gladly use them again myself.

They were careful and conscientious. They were punctual as well.

Major downsizing move from suburban home to older south Minneapolis home. We were packed and boxes organized. The guys showed up on time with two trucks. They did an efficient job in loading as well as taking beds apart. They brought wardrobe boxes for our closets which we filled as the crew worked on other parts of the house. At the new house which required creativity in getting our furniture into the home they succeeded. I am a happy customer.

They never called so it went poorly.

I contacted Good Stuff Moving through their website and received both an email response and a call the next day. Brent explained their billing methodology which was flat rate for the drive time plus actual man hours times hourly rate for the load and unload. I received a verbal quote based on my list of items to be moved which was followed with an emailed quote. The emailed quote included a link to a FAQ section on Good Stuff's website. This section provided quite a few helpful tips for preparation. To save on cost we dis-assembled our bedroom sets, placed carpet protecting film, and boxed everything ourselves. We also placed carpet protecting film in the new house, assembled furniture, and unpacked boxes ourselves. We had a great crew: Kipper and Matt worked efficiently and had a positive attitude. They worked through difficulties related to moving large items around stair landings. They were conscientious and wrapped our furniture carefully as well as used protective covers for wall corners, stair railings, etc. The load and unload time was a bit higher than estimated but there were items we did not include on the list -- bottom line we were very satisfied with what we paid and with the "hourly rate" method there were no surprises. I highly recommend Good Stuff Moving!

We loved the use of the heave-duty-boxes they delivered before hand and how easy it was all to arrange. Having an in-home estimate was great, as a 3-mad team came prepared with enough pads and wrap to take care of everything as much of our furniture is very heavy and hand-made originals. I also appreciated how careful the guys were in protect the new flooring and newly shampooed flooring I had installed in the new home with pads and plastics. This is was most stressless and efficient move I have ever made, and defienty recomend using this crew.

Their estimated hours were about 50% higher than competitor. I called in advance to make sure the charge will be based on the actual moving time, not the estimated one. So I still chose the company - the decision was heavily influenced by the positive rating on this list. I was terribly wrong! The final bill came in almost identical to estimates ($1401 instead of $1400), which was made to happen by: 1) "managed" moving time that came just 30 minutes faster than estimate, 2) increased dumping fee from $125 to $200 (I did increase the volume of materials to be dumped. But most of them were eligible for free pick up in my old house, and I was told that the increased charge of those would be "minimal".), and 3) overcharge in packing materials with a "flat" fee of $120 despite my bring many packing boxes the night before. (During estimation I was told the charged would be based on the actual use of packing materials.) All in all, I learned my lesson here. And I would NOT recommend this company for future business.

I had different movers for the loading and unloading (different days). I had to have them store my things on the truck for 2 days due to closing issues. There was a very reasonable daily charge considering this puts the truck out of use for 2 days. They all did a great job. Excellent job all around. The total cost was less then quoted. I would definitely hire them again (hope I don't need to for a long, long, time..... : ) .

We couldn't be happier! From first contact to the end of the job every step could be used in a text book for How to do it Right. I sent in my initial request by web. They gave me a bid. After taking another look at what my wife and I were trying to move I called them and said I would take them up on their offer to look at the prospect in person. Our contact walked through with me, explained how they did things and what steps they would take to help and protect. We were moving rookies and his advice was accurate, respectful, supportive and encouraging. The crew showed up on time were outgoing and friendly, and totally amazing! They worked briskly and efficiently for 7 & 1/2 hours. At the end of the day they were STILL trotting down the truck ramp, boxes in hand. In every aspect I can think of this group earned their money and my respect. We never felt shoved aside and were treated with warmth and inclusion. Everyone worked exceptionally well as a team and the organization's culture is healthy. I may move again just for the pleasure of dealing with them! They went out of their way to make things smooth.

We had a few issues when their crew tried to get a large sofa up a staircase. They are taking care of the issue and have done their best to make sure we are 100% satisfied. Because of their effort to take care of our complaint and provide excellent customer service, we would use them again.

Brent and his team do a 1st class job - I was very impressed with their whole process. Before you move your own items, call Brent and get a quote from him. I was pleasantly surprised with their prices and their service was even better. Nice work Good Stuff!!

The crew arrived on time and started work immediately. They loaded a rental truck for a drive from Minnesota to Florida. All items were carefully packed on the truck. They worked efficiently and completed loading the truck in less time than anticipated. After a 1600 mile drive all items arrived in the same condition as when it was packed. Excellent work.

I really liked the staff who answered the phone and who called to remind us of the scheduled move. They really seemed to have their act together. The person who came to do the estimate was also very capable and friendly. The day of the move went as planned. They came at the specified time and put down plastic runners over the carpet. They were very responsive to our needs - paying close attention to what was delicate and allowing us time to clean items before putting them back together. They were careful in moving things. They made minimal marks on the walls in our new home on the stairwell going upstairs (which is a tight corner), but nothing that a Magic Eraser can't fix. I did notice that they walked on the carpet with their shoes on in our old home, but when I mentioned that I really didn't want them to do that in our new home, they were careful not to (they put down plastic or removed shoes if they could). We paid less than the estimate because we ended up moving the garage stuff ourselves. They were done very quickly - the whole process was done in about 4 hours. I recommend them if you are looking for professionalism at a fair price and would use them again in a future move.

The owner was prompt and courteous when called for an estimate. The movers were punctual, professional and friendly. The company seems to be well organized as far as customer service is concerned. Overall, an excellent experience. Would highly recommend to others.

The move went very well. Goodstuff provided clear information on their levels of service, packing materials (boxes and tape gun were free if returned to Goodstuff after the move) and confirmed appointment times a couple of days prior to the move. Goodstuff movers arrived on time and understood that the belongings were to be sepeated for moving to the two new residences. From their arrival in Amery to departure in Golden Valley (a distance of 70 miles) the move took less than 8 hours. The household goods that were to be moved to River Falls Wisconsin were left in the truck and taken to River FAlls the next day. The move took place on a rainy day. The movers covered their boots, rolled protective runners over the floor and covered the furniture in order to keep everything clean and un damaged. In sum, Goodstuff and their employees were smart, efficient and easy to work with and the move cost less than Goodstuff had estimated. I've recommended them to anyone who would listen.

This is the second time I used Good Stuff Moving and I was just as happy the second time. I would strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Good stuff moving did a great job moving us. I arranged to have one truck and two guys for about six hours. I thought that was enough since I had moved six months earlier. However, this move was for two people and household rather than one. When the crew arrived they toured the house to see what was required. They quickly determined their truck was too small and they needed more help to complete the job. They called their manager who then talked to me. I agreed they were right and authorized the extra help. The cavalry arrived an hour later. It was a good thing they brought in the extra help. They all worked hard and finished the job in the late afternoon. I can't say enough about these guys. They treated everything very carefully, they were very courteous and right on time. This was the second time I used good stuff moving and will use them again if needed. They could not have done anything better. The cost was right for the service provided.

I live in an old house with small hallways and rooms. The movers were available before the scheduled window of time so they called and asked if would be convenient to arrive early. I happily agreed and they were here within minutes. I showed them what needed to be moved within my home and they went to work. First they moved the existing sofa from the living room to the front porch. Next they moved the sofa from the attic (3rd floor), carrying and manipulating it down the narrow, steep attic stairs, around the 2nd floor landing, down the stairs to an intermediate landing, turning again and down to the 1st floor living room. I had removed the attic staircase railings before they arrived to give them as much space as possible. They placed the sofa, then brought down the ottoman. Because they hadn't used all of the 1 hour minimum I had them continue to move other pieces in the house. Next they moved a set of shelves within a bedroom, moved a drawing table from that room to the attic, brought a storage piece from the attic to the bedroom, and removed an air conditioner from the window, storing it in the closet. They also replaced the railings leading to the attic for me. They asked to make sure there was nothing else I wanted done. They were careful, experienced, polite, and professional; nothing was damaged. I'd hire them again in a minute.
