Good Stuff Moving

Our experience with Good Stuff Movers was great. Scheduling was quick and easy and the individual on the phone was very friendly. The movers arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the entire move. They were very personable and professional. They worked closely with us to arrange furniture the way we wanted it and were extremely helpful. Great care was taken with our furniture and no damage was done to anything. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them as a company.

It went awesome! The movers were friendly and helpful. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. The cost was the cheapest we could find for a long distance move. We had packed all of our stuff before hand though. It only took them 1 hr to move us out and 2 hr to move us in. The total came to under $3000. Other companies were ballparking the long distance move to be around $4000 and would not be able to deliver it next day. Good stuff was able to deliver it next day which is why we chose them.

The movers arrived on time and got right to work. I gave them a quick tour of what needed to be moved and they got busy. They even loaned me tools (we had packed ours and hadn't thought to leave out an allen wrench) so I could break down our crib while they kept loading the truck (and therefore didn't have to pay $$ for a crib breakdown, which I could do myself). They were polite and courteous as well, being patient with our three year old who kept drifting into their way.

I got an in-person estimate, and it was within $50 of accuracy! Matt was the estimator, and he gave me an estimate on both the whole house and just the furniture, so I could decide what I needed. We ended up with two teams of two movers, and a 26-foot truck with a smaller budget truck. This turned out to be just right. The movers showed up on the early end of their arrival window and set right to work. They were not intimidated about my room full of boxes of books, my giant couch down a set of stairs, or the king sized bedframe. They made a plan, set up rugs to minimize tracking dirt in and out, and set to work. I sat on the porch and watched in admiration and awe as they managed all the books and furniture and boxes marked fragile. Halfway through the loading, I was so impressed by their truck loading that I went out to take a picture of it. They had the whole house loaded up in just over two hours. When we got to the new place, they even had a ramp that went up the one stair to the house so they could unload everything more efficiently. Everything got sorted into the right rooms, and when they finished, they asked if there was any furniture I wanted moved to a different position, but they had placed most of it right where I would have, so they only had to move a couple things. By fifteen minutes before their estimated finish time, they were done, and each one took the time to shake my hand and thank me personally. Polite, hard-working, and a world better than the last "movers" I had.

The guy from Good Stuff was very punctual and professional. In fact, I thought he did an excellent job explaining everything in the quote and got all the relevant information from me. The only problem was that they came in a couple hundred dollars over a competitor. In the end, they were offering the same service as another company, just for more money. The cost was the only reason we opted not to use Good Stuff. Unfortunately, we also did not get into a bidding war, seeing as how we were in a severe time crunch. Thus, Good stuff may have come down to match or beat the other quote if given the chance, but we'll never know.

When I called to set a moving date I was told they had a cancellation & could move us that day. Even though I wasn't completely prepared we decided to go ahead. Tyler H, Tyler P & Justin arrived when expected & were very courteous, professional & patient (considering I was winging some of the move). They did a fantastic job! When I commented on how fast they moved - Tyler said they weren't there to waste my money. Very impressive attitude! I would most definetly reccommend them & hire them again (if I ever move again!!)

Crew arrived on time with a great truck. Was able to load via side and back and the three guys did a bang up job. Would highly recommend in the future. Overall, the move took only 4 hours or so and they did a great job protecting anything valuable.

I had used Good Stuff Moving 4 years ago, and knew they were awesome. I was now moving long distance, and originally gave the contract to another company. Last minutes, things were not going well. Good Stuff to the rescue. On the Friday before Memorial Day, Brent was able to schedule the upcoming Wed to pick up everything and move it to NH. The price was fair, the service amazing. In Minneapolis, the showed exactly at 8am as promised - and in two hours they were loaded. The employees are all about courtesy and service. They were extremely careful with everything, and extremely polite. Paul, the driver was great. They new I would be arriving in NH on the 30th, they were also here the 30th, and I received the call on Friday night (as promised) to say they would be here on Sat morning at 8am. At 8am, Paul and two other gentlemen had me unloaded in no time, everything was exactly in the room as labeled, and they were all friendly, courteous, and hard working. I should have just given GSM the contract up front, but Brent and his team came through when I was in need. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the employees.

This is the second time I've used Good Stuff Moving and they are now the only company that I will use. I've had movers that I didn't even feel comfortable being in the house with. This team was clean, friendly, professional, and super helpful. They arrived on time and one of the team members that was on our job last year remembered me and our stuff. They are willing to go the extra mile, they are problem solvers and they are very polite. They also moved quickly and never made us feel like they were wasting time. I will always recommend them to my friends.

They were wonderful to work with. They were very flexible. We had several parts to our move. They were efficient in packing. All of our items arrived just fine. They were very good to work with. I highly recommend them. They were excellent. I'll give A's on everything.

Th move could not have gone better. The guys were right on time and took care of everything as discussed when we setup the move. The local move made this easy to manage, but I would not hesitate to use Good Stuff for a move of any distance.

I called these guys and talked to Brent last month for details and cost around a move. He was cordial and chipper. Forward to Wednesday afternoon. I called and asked for options around my closing schedules...I sold mine, and then bought one both close same day. He was an absolute pr*ck!! He offered no suggestions, acted like I was a total tool for asking and seemed like he was mad I called? He basically said "this is a small company we can't do that. Go elsewhere". I will. If GS Movers offered to move my stuff free I'd still not use them. Brent...in today's service industry people expect to be treated with respect. Not sure what's up w you or the company but something has to change.

It was one of the best moving experiences ever! And I have moved across state lines 6 times in my life. Good Stuff Moving was one of several companies I contacted, but one of only two that bid my move. From initial contact to final delivery, this was really a top rated experience. Unlike large haulers, Good Stuff Moving is a locally based company, and they have their own moving team. This makes coordinating all aspects of the move much more in their control. As well, my belongings are loaded to my own truck, as opposed to a shared truck. Both move types have pros and cons, and of course a dedicated truck results in a slightly higher cost. However, in my case that was roughly $600 to $800 and well worth the added cost. Once confirmed, they take a deposit, and at 7 days prior to your move date, it becomes non-refundable because they are committing a team to pack and a driver with truck to move me. On the date of the actual move, the team arrived ON TIME and IN UNIFORM! I think that was a first. Uniform simply meaning each employee was wearing a shirt with the company name. In my case, Minnesota team consisted of Matt P., Chris A., Justin P. and Michael J. Estimated time was 3.5 hours, and they were done in under 3. Of the team, only Matt would be on the arriving end in NJ. Upon delivery, again, Matt was on time for the arrival in New Jersey. In the case of many moves across state lines, a different crew may be assigned to unload. Since Good Stuff Moving is a local Minnesota company, they coordinate with local movers to assist the driver. While this experience was good, the local Minnesota team certainly shined by comparison! A native resident of New Jersey, I was aware the experience by region would vary. Matt himself remained after the NJ crew departed, and finished setup of the entertainment center and other items. While I have not yet unpacked every box, they appear to have been handled properly. With the exception of some broken plastic wheels (i.e. a portable filing cabinet and another item), everything unloaded is in great condition. If you have moved across state lines before, a key difference with a locally based mover is of course the team, as well as the transportation method. Another key difference is each item was not tagged. I assume this is based on the fact all my belongings were in 1 truck, but if this is critical to your moving needs, it's something you would want to inquire about. I am very happy and pleased I selected Good Stuff Moving and would recommend and use their services again. The entire moving team mentioned above, as well as Brent and Matt at the local office were of great assistance and made this a great moving experience.

Having used Good Stuff previously, I called Brent right away when I found out our move date. While I also called two other moving companies for estimates, Good Stuff came back with the lowest estimate. Even if they hadn't, I would have used them based on our prior experience with them. All staff members, from owners to estimators, to movers are quality people and know what they are doing when it comes to moving. A few guys helped me pack the remaining items in our home the day before - they were careful, conscientious, and quick - it didn't take them nearly the time they anticipated to get everything done. 6 men and three trucks, all arrived at their pre-arranged locations the following day and began loading up the trucks right away. Once all were loaded they made their way to our new home and within about two hours, the house was full of boxes, the trucks were empty and they were on their way. We suffered no damage to any furniture, they were sure to put down carpet covers to protect the floors in the winter mess we had that day and we quickly got reimbursed for all the Good Stuff furniture blankets we had kept from our previous move to protect furniture in the storage units. Top notch service and great pricing. We have now used Good Stuff twice in recent years and would highly recommend. While we hope we will not be needing their services for a long time now, you won't be disappointed. They are prompt, informative, helpful, courteous and reasonably priced.

I needed movers at the last minute. Called on 4/18/14 and asked if it was possible for a move in the next couple days. I was told he would call back after he checked it out for service. Called back promptly. Set up the move for 4/22/14. Was told they would come on 4/22/14 between 10-2pm. They would call when on the way. Called at 1:15. Were here by 1:45. I would not be at the other end when the furniture was delivered so I called ahead and told that the delivery was on the way. Two very courteous young men. Got right to the job. No waste of time. Loved how they plastic wrapped all the pieces that had drawers. Was handled great at the other end. I will be using them again. I am selling and I am down sizing so like the bedroom set different furniture will be moved to different addresses. I feel confident in using Good Stuff Moving. Paid with credit card. Charge ($276.00) was minimum charge for 2 hrs. I do recommend them!!!!

My entire experience with Good Stuff Moving was positive. I spoke with Brent twice to get things booked - he was very flexible with their availability and was able to accommodate the timing that worked well for me. He was also very upfront with their pricing - a set hourly rate from the minute they pulled into my driveway in the morning to the minute they left after unloading +$25 fuel surcharge. In the end, pricing was exactly what he told me it would be - no surprises which I always appreciate. Eric and Terry were the movers who helped me today. Both were professional, friendly, and very capable. They moved slowly enough with everything that I felt confident they valued getting my things transported safely - they moved quickly enough with everything that I did not ever feel they were moving slower than they should - a perfect pace. They were diligent in wrapping things up and great at getting heavy things in and out of tight spots without any damage to the item or to the doorways. I appreciated that in a couple instances they suggested things to help protect my house - as an example, before setting a piano down on the wood floors in my new house as I asked them to do, they suggested I get coasters to protect the floors and waited to set the piano down until I could get some cardboard down as a temporary protector of the floor. They get everything I needed moved in a great amount of time and it all ended up exactly where I wanted - and did it all with a friendly demeanor - what more could you want from a moving company? I would definitely hire Good Stuff Moving again - positive experience from start to finish.

It went awesome. Great communication in advance. Guys were right on time, great friendly, really creative in their loading to make it efficient, and worked insanely hard - I can't believe how fast they got it done! And they remained nice throughout - you couldn't have blamed them for being annoyed with a homeowner that kept getting in their way, but they weren't at all. Though I hope I never have to move again, I'll happily refer these guys to anyone else I know that is moving.

I had very little lead time with my move. They were willing to fit me in so I could move when I needed to. They arrived on time and moved everything in a very efficient manner. They placed everything where I asked them to. They were courteous and polite. I would definitely have them move me again!

I called and spoke with Paul about my moving needs and got an estimate. I liked what I saw on Angie's List as far as reviews and ratings so I decided to call back to book my move at the end of this month. This time Brent answered rattling off to me all his titles at the company. I told him I had called before and wanted to confirm the date of my move. I, then, mentioned I had a piano in storage when he stopped me and said "we don't do pianos". When I said that Paul told me they did, he said "well, then you need to talk to Paul", which I found to be odd. Wasn't HE the owner, founder, CEO, etc., etc. After awhile he returned annoyed and barked at me to tell him what I needed. I told him "don't be mad at ME" because I didn't do anything and he shot back "WOULD YOU LIKE TO USE SOMEONE ELSE?" Being under so much stress and pressure for several months with everything, and now this "attitude" from Brent... I started to sob. Although he attempted to apologize, the worst part is, he then hung up! WOW!!! Hope you treat your employees better than a would have been customer!

Two crews worked on two different dates. Carl and Jeremy were great when the furniture was moved away from the walls. The crew that "undid" that work were great, too. Sorry they didn't put their names on the statement. All were friendly, accommodating, and effective.

I wondered how a moving company could have so many good reviews-- now I know! They were absolutely fantastic to work with, from the start right to the finish. Professional every step of the way, kept their commitments, did a super professional job, and treated our house like it was theirs. Service was top-notch and they worked FAST! I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks guys!

Matt and his crew were punctual, friendly and professional. The move went very smoothly and I appreciate it, because moving is hard! I will get about $136 back after I bring back the boxes. Good movers, broke nothing but went for an extra long lunch, then at the end wanted to charge me the extra 45 minutes and ended up adjusting for 30 minutes over. Boss had to call them and get a move on it when I called him. Management was great and helpful thruout the move
