We had an excellent experience with Good Stuff Moving. My girlfriend and I were moving from two separate apartments to a house, and wanted to do the move simultaneously. Good stuff suggested we use two two-man trucks to do the move, and that plan worked well. Both crews arrived on time jumped into action. They were professional, careful with our posessions, careful not to damage the apartments we were moving out of, and especially carefull not to damage the house we were moving into. Overall they were very efficient and completed the job faster than we had expected. I would definately use them again.

we packed ourselves and we hired good stuff to move us. initial estimate for pack and move came in way too high so we decided to go with only move at a lower price. the team showed a half hour late (they did call us to let us know) but were extremely professional, quick and careful with our things. Nothing broken. we'd definitely consider them for our next move. great service and never worried about our things.

I have kept everything ready to move ahead of time. Everything went well, they were on-time, professional, listen and understood what i was looking for. I would recommend anyone looking for moving. 1. End of the day, they could have saved money rather than cost me extra money with their decision to move from longest side of the building, rather than my recommendation to move from shortest side of the building. 2. I have requested estimate for 2 hrs, but owner provided paper with estimated of 3-4hrs. which made them look Awesome. I thought it was over exaggerated to estimated. But, Overall guys who came to move did good job.

Employees were excellent, professional, on time, efficient, and ever so careful of every item. Set boxes and furniture down as if they were made of glass. Moved things several times when I changed my mind where things should go. All were pleasant and polite and did not waste any time doing what needed to be done. From estimate to delivery the job and bid were right on.

These guys were WONDERFUL! Before I even moved I was very apprehensive and Brent calmed me down, answered all of my questions very patiently and put up with my anxiety with a lot of patience and understanding. Then the guys showed up right when they said they would, they were very professional, loaded up all my stuff with no fooling around or stalling. They drove my stuff to Milwaukee and because I was delayed, they arrived before I did. Instead of waiting around, they got permission from the building manager and began unloading. The unloading went really fast and the whole process took a lot less time than I had estimated. They were wonderful and worked really hard for me. The price was less than I estimated and also very reasonable. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again if I can (I don't know if they will come to Wisconsin). Thanks, guys!

Terrific! On time, worked quickly and well. I noticed several days later than a board on a dresser was damaged, no questions asked, they just connected me with a repair guy who came out and fixed it beautifully (I'd use him again too). Third time using Good Stuff, even if someone else is cheaper, they are worth it.

I will apologize for taking so long to complete the review....My wife called 3 moving companies looking for bids. When she spoke with good stuff it was apparent she was speaking to a company that was good at what they do, and was personable and friendly. Good stuff's estimator (I apologize I do not recall his name) came out to our old house and discussed how they handle a move. We walked through the house and the Representative estimated how many boxes we needed per room and discussed cost saving techniques for moving day as we went thru the house. Based on his estimate he figured we would need 2 trucks and 6 workers. The other company's my wife called either stated they were booked when we wanted to move, (we appreciated the honesty) and the second company was vague on how much it would cost and did not seem like he was overly interested in coming out for a bid telling my wife an hourly cost on moving day. (my wife was not impressed) We booked Good Stuff and had them deliver boxes. We packed everything and were ready on the day of the move. The first Good Stuff truck showed up about 15 minutes early on moving day and was ready to work! We explained our packing madness and off they went. Due to the morning light rain, tarps were put down minimizing any mess. We went to the closing on the new house and returned a couple hours later. They were very close to closing the trucks to head to the new house. We were in our house almost 20 years and there were a lot of boxes for them to move! Since these guys were working so hard and it was fairly muggy out when the rain stopped, we supplied the guys with water and sports drinks. We never located an empty bottle outside of the recycling bin. When we got to the new house we had Pizza delivered for lunch as a thank you. After a 15 minute break and 2 pizzas later, the crew went back to work. All I needed to do was tell them where to put boxes. Throughout the entire process the crew had fun and kept up a great working pace. It was obvious the guys liked what they were doing and who they were working with. Clean up at both houses was minimal due to their putting tarps down and the sticky plastic on the stairs in the new house. One of the boxes I packed and taped gave out and a bowl was broken. It was immediately brought to my attention (apologetically) and the guy explained what happened. Seeing it was my fault I thanked him for speaking up right away and I took care of the broken bowl. Integrity is a nice plus! Fast forward a month, I delivered all the unpacked boxes back to Good Stuff and again was met with super personable people and service. Good stuff completed in about 7 hours what would have taken me and several friends the better part of a weekend to do. I was appreciative of the service and personality of the crew that completed the work. I will strongly encourage everyone I know who will be moving to call Good Stuff and save the hassles and let the Pro's make it easier! In the grand scheme of things, the expense of renting a truck, paying mileage and feeding friends makes the cost of Good Stuff very reasonable. Now add in the fact that Pro's are gonna use just as much care as your friends, and get the job done in minimal time, and the lack of so much moving stress, they are priceless!
Description of Work: Good Stuff bid our move, then delivered boxes and gave us ideas on how to pack and save on expenses on moving day. On Moving day we had 2 trucks and 6 workers. Good Stuff moved all our boxes, dismantled some furniture and put it back together at the new house placing everything where we wanted it.

These guys were professional, efficient, and friendly. Furthermore, they all seemed to truly enjoy their work, and listening to them have fun with each other and joke around made me feel a lot more comfortable with the whole crazy process. When the unexpected happened (because it always does in a move), the Good Stuff guys were willing to help out. They jumped a dead battery, they helped unstick a snowbound car, and they called in a second truck to get everything out. Anything to get the job done and keep us from losing our minds. Everything was carefully packaged, placed exactly where we wanted it, and the only thing we lost in the process was a really ugly flower pot that I meant to toss anyway. (And the guy who broke it personally apologized about a dozen times.) I honestly can't thank them enough for everything they did. We've since started recommending them to all our friends, and they've all reported back that their experiences were similarly positive. If you have to move, you have to let Good Stuff help you. They truly made the process of moving far easier than I'd ever anticipated. They were worth every single penny (and then some).
Description of Work: Good Stuff moved everything we (a family of seven) own from one house to another. This included four floors and a garage, doing some of the boxing up (because packing took us longer than expected), disassembling and reassembling lots of furniture, and maneuvering through a city neighborhood that meant the moving truck had to park almost a full city block away. It also happened to be one of those intensely cold winter days, but they were completely undaunted.

Paul and his team did a great job. I couldn't be happier with the move. They were polite, professional and very careful with all of our belongings. They packed the truck perfectly. Paul drove the truck to Florida and arranged for a crew to meet him to unload the furniture. If I were to move again, I would not hesitate to use them. They are what ever mover should aspire to be!

- were recommended by the storage pod company (I've informed them of my experience to give them a word of caution). - very nice, very punctual, 2 person crew. Got it done within estimated time so no extra charges for additional time - Insisted on bringing their moving truck (an extra charge) saying it was policy in case they needed supplies. - We did use supply of their plastic wrap that they put around one or two pieces of furniture. Other supplies I had (blankets/pads). -Here are the problems: 1. miscommunication - I thought I explained it - that it was half the furniture now and the second half would go in later after staging/sale. About an hour in and halfway done, I looked inside the pod and asked about why it was being packed as it was - good packing, very tight but way at the rear of unit with huge amount of space open. When I clarified that only half that I'd pointed out was going in, the mover in the truck began rearranging to spread it out in the hour time that was left plus finish packing 2. ONLY ONE TIE DOWN USED, and not used well. Had been recommended by pod people, that I communicated, that tie downs should go across the width of the pod at regular intervals so that when pod loaded and unloaded by pulling (at about 45 degree lift angle) onto the flat bed, that contents inside pod wouldn't shift all the way to the door, possibly tumbling. The tie was put ONLY around 3 floor lamps that were added last, only against the wall. NO TIE DOWN across packed boxes/furniture. RESULT: I've been to the pod to get some camping gear out, and we couldn't open the door the first trip because so much had shifted against door. Trip #2: the pod company had a worker plus owner standby until we could get the door open, then their worker repacked the goods closest to door. Camping gear could not be found due to so much shifting (it was supposed to have been about the last stuff in and on top for planned access). CONCERNS: I can't see the condition of much of what's in there due to shifting, but a heavy roll top desk is tilted forward at about 60 degrees and leaning on front edge of itself (the front with the drawers), holding back everything behind it and being kept from falling on its front/face by what's in front of it. I feel for the people who will be unpacking that "logjam".
Description of Work: packed a storage pod (pod from another company) with about half of household goods prior to home staging/placing house on market

These guys were very professional and friendly. They had two trucks and 4 big guys to help move very heavy pieces of furniture out of two different one bedroom apartments. They showed up exactly on time and began working immediately. They made the whole experience look effortless. Nothing was damaged in the process and they placed all the pieces where we told them to put them. Then they stayed and moved things for us as needed. We had one large, heavy armoire which would not fit into an attic bedroom, so they removed the doors and got it inside and placed the doors back into position. Also, one of those apartments was on a third floor walkup - no elevator - about 7 flights of stairs to the truck. No one complained, no one gave attitude, the guys smiled, joked and even sang a little bit as they moved. It was a very good experience. I had major surgery and couldn't lift anything so these guys and this company saved me!! I will definitely use them again, and I have already recommended them to some friends who are moving. A++ company in our minds!

Called for an estimate to move from Bloomington, MN to Colorado Springs, CO. Got an estimate and when I went to pay for the deposit, they suddenly told me they couldn't do the job! Now I have to find another mover. Be careful dealing with this company: there are too many people saying different things. If you work with them, pick one person and only deal with them! a) I spoke to Good Stuff Moving (starting on 7/17/14) a total of 7 times on the phone, via email, and with an in home estimate (up to today 7/29/14). b) I started working with Brent (an owner) on 7/18 (via him returning my call from 7/17), who then sent out Matt (estimator) on 7/23. Matt emailed me a quote (7/24), I responded to Matt (7/24), but Brent responded (7/24). Keep in mind that I'm legally disabled and am moving several states away, so we started our moving company search well ahead of time. So, the whole time Brent and Matt kept telling me that they could pack us up on 8/15, store our goods, and then unpack on 8/28 without any problems multiple times. Matt's estimate said to discuss the bid, and then call him back when we were ready to schedule (as we would need to pay them the $2,000 down payment). c) I called Matt today to tell him that we're hiring them for our move (7/29) and make the down payment, but got the company voicemail. Paul (another owner) called me back today (7/29) who was still alright with the dates, but when I told him that we were downsizing and perhaps would only need 1 truck instead of 2 trucks, his mood suddenly changed. He said that I "caught him off guard" about maybe not using 2 trucks because he had already told several of his men that they would be in Colorado (and gone for a week) so going to one truck would hurt his employees. Since I had not spoken to him before, I asked what he was talking about as Matt (who we spend an enormous amount of time with at the in home estimate) knew full well what the details were (as this was a move based upon medical necessity and we were downsizing from a 2 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment and would be getting rid of a lot of stuff). Paul was now suddenly concerned that the cost to move us would be less, and that threw him off so much that he wanted to call me back to "rework the estimate" when I reminded him of storing our items - so he didn't have to have his employees getting on the road right away because we had already told this to Brent, Matt, and there was 13 days from the time they packed us up to the delivery date - which Brent and Matt said allowed them time to work with. Paul was relieved and said he "didn't notice" the storage. I was going to pay him $2,000 with my credit card right then and there when he said that the deposit might be less (as he would figure the cost for 1 truck instead of 2 - but still gave me the option to use 2 if needed), he was busy and needed to dispatch some crews so he would call me back before the end of the day to take my payment. About 5 minutes later Paul called to say that they couldn't do the entire job - suddenly they were overbooked (from the time Brent emailed me saying they could make our dates work until the time I went to the bank and deposited the $2,000 that I redeemed from Savings Bonds). d) I told Paul straight up that I thought he was cancelling on us because we might only need 1 truck instead of 2. He said they overbooked - well why did I talk with Paul for 21 minutes and 26 seconds just earlier about the dates of delivery, number of trucks, how long his employees would be on the road about a move that we've been planning with them since 7/18 (when I agreed to a verbal quote from Brent) when they were overbooked. In fact, Paul called me after my voicemail to him (and on the voicemail I told him the dates, the price, and I was calling to pay them). So how does a company go from telling me multiple times that the dates were OK and about to collect payment to five minutes later they could not even do the job? It seems to me less money to be made. e) I checked my phone log: seven calls to/from Good Stuff. All these were with either Brent or Matt. f) Written in email was the dates were fine with Matt, and confirmed with Brent. g) Only when Paul got involved did things go astray. NOTE: Bent called me back to apologize. I told everything to Brent twice (once when I first spoke to him, then he wanted to hear it again today). I also told everything to Matt. I also told everything to Paul. BOTTOM LINE: There are 3 people who were involved planning this move (and yet now I have to find another company ASAP but I want to warn other people about this company while it's still fresh in my mind - plus I'm very upset): Brent, Matt, and Paul (all from Good Stuff). All share the same phone number, email, and ability to take over at any moment - that's the problem! I thought I was working with Brent, only to be given to Matt. I thought I was then dealing with Matt, only to have Brent email me. I then left a voicemail for Matt (since he sent the estimate) only to have Paul call me back. After Paul cancelled everything on me and I was mad, then Brent called again (but made me repeat the whole story again - what I waste of time). I cannot believe that these guys are ranked so high on Angie's List - perhaps local (one day) moves would be OK but if you're looking for storage and going to another state please be careful. ONE MORE THING: Matt told me that they would rent more trucks (of necessary) as well as more people. Not true, both Paul and Brent (the owners) told me that they needed their trucks to move a different person to Colorado. That's right: they totally blew me off and signed up someone else! They "didn't realize" that more than one person might be interested in moving to Colorado, so they never followed up with me! Instead, they let me think we were all set. Don't trust these guys unless you are working with only one person and have it in something other than email or verbally. That is, get a contract (which they didn't even offer to me).
Description of Work: Called for an estimate to move from Bloomington, MN to Colorado Springs, CO. Good Stuff Moving provided excellent service from the initial contact through the move. I received a prompt response after submitting a move request. The company sent a crew of 3 to handle our move. All team members did an excellent job of securely loading our items at our apartment. They took care to make sure they didn't scuff up any walls as they moved items into our new house. The team was friendly and also worked timely to not escalate the costs of the move. Overall, we were extremely satisified with the team that conducted our move and would recommend Good Stuff Moving to anyone who needed moving services in the future.

Everyone I worked with at Good Stuff, from the estimator to the six man moving crew, was prompt, courteous and professional. The move itself wasn't exactly easy (two different load locations, access to the new house was tricky), but thanks to Matt, Kipper, Mike and the others it went very smoothly. They took good care of all of my belongings; nothing was damaged. They asked how/where I wanted things placed, offered to help set things up, etc. After the majority of furniture and boxes were moved into the the new house they drove a bed and piano to a separate location in Bloomington. I found out while they were moving the piano (up a hill) that they don't typically move pianos, but they did it with smiles on their faces. Well worth the money. Highly recommend!

First off, the crew didn't have on any type of uniform - leading me to believe I was sent sort of a patchwork crew. This is a simple thing, but it was an unprofessional first impression that proved indicative of the entire experience. They put down carpet protection in most areas, but in a few rooms just stopped at the doorway, tracking in dirt that I had to pay to clean for the new homeowners. They also used no protective "bumpers" on corners or door frames, which is a service nearly all good movers provide. I have found this is a good barometer for how serious movers are about service. Furniture was also not reassembled properly in the new home. The crew was nice and polite, but seemed to be in a pretty big hurry to get out of there. In their defense, it was a very cold day in January, but they were paid to do the job. To my estimation, they did it about 75%. (This is the first "unsatisfactory" review I have posted, but felt compelled because I hired the movers based on the glowing reviews here and was disappointed.)

These guys were amazing. They helped me put together supplies before the move and relayed details clearly, including calling the day before service to confirm details. I had a crew of 3 movers and they were all very professional. They showed up on time and my move was done in lightning speed. A+ work! And totally reasonable rates. Recommend them highly!

Absolutely awesome. These guys showed up on time, they were very friendly and professional. They had 8 men for almost 7 hours to move all of our stuff in 3 trucks. They worked at this with no goofing off. They really took care of our belongings and seemed to care about the quality of their work. I would use them again and would highly recommend them
