Good Stuff Moving

Description of Work: I contacted Good Stuff and took the time to send them a very detailed description of the move, including dates, addresses, dimensions and quantity of all items. I got a standard response which simply reiterated the information on their web site. I responded and asked if they were available on the date I requested and could send me an estimate. They responded to call their office on Monday morning. The business should not offer online quotes if they require all customer to call them. I wasted a lot of time sending the initial inquiry, and decided to go with another provider.

Description of Work: One of the guys was getting a little ornery and they could have been a little quicker.

Description of Work: Good Stuff Moving, came out and looked over our situation and gave usa reasonable estimate to move our home's contents to our new home in Eagan, MN. They were on time and completely responsive and professional. It took less truck volume than estimated, but the extra personnel made it go quickly and for less total money than we were quoted!

Description of Work: They showed up on time. Were considerate about some tight time frames we had on closing on the sale of our existing house and on the new house. Very competent and professional.

Description of Work: They were fabulous. The movers arrived on time and were very curtious and congnizant of the time constraint. They were very open to wrapping everything. I had also requested that all my stuff was new and they took extra care in double packing everything. I was very impressed with their service and will surely use them without a blink of an eye later.

Description of Work: No service was preformed as I asked Matt to leave my home. He had come to give an estimate so we walked through my home and he asked me to point out the items we were bringing on our end of May. He also wanted me to guess, time and time again, what size box I thought I would be putting items into. Although I've never had a mover ask me this before (this isn't my first moving rodeo) I guessed the best I could, albeit slightly annoyed. In our conversation I also told him that my daughter was moving out, and pointed out the furniture we would not be moving with us....sofa, love seat, triple dresser, desk, hutch, bookcase, nightstand and a bench. I also told him we were downsizing from our 2500st ft town home into a 1700sq ft town home. I couldn't take everything even if I wanted to! What happened? He gave me the quote and was $400 higher than the next highest quote. I asked him if there was a way to lower the price. He did give me some ideas and then said, " No offense, but I added the furniture you said you weren't taking into the quote.... In my 5 years of moving I have found that people bring more than they think they are going to". I clarified his statement by saying, " you included the furniture that I told you I wasn't taking into the estimate?". He said, "yes, some of it", and proceeded to tell me yet again how much he knew about moving . If he wasn't going to listen to what I said, I am not sure why he wasted a hour of my time by asking me questions he was going to disregard the answers to anyway. I am a business owner and would want to know if my employees had such an obnoxious attitude .When I called Brent to let him know how Matt handled our meeting, he was defensive, condensending, rude and didn't seem to much care about what I was saying. I wound up hiring the same movers I had move us into this home 2 years ago, at a much lower price.

Description of Work: Prior to move day, I described the amount to move and they arranged for a truck and crew to come at 10am. I also picked up used boxes at their office for a deposit $2 per box, so when move day came, everything was packed and ready to go. When they arrived, on time, they looked at what we had to move. They knew a second truck and another crew was needed. It was arranged and the second truck arrived an hour later. As a result, we had the whole household moved by 4pm. I was very happy with everything. A week later we returned the boxes and received our full deposit. I have used Good Stuff Moving twice now and will use them again if I need moving service.

Description of Work: The men were adequate to the job. Nothing was broken or scratched, and they worked in a timely way. Their attitude seemed rather crabby and unfriendly, which made a difference to me.

Description of Work: I wish I could give A+'s to rate this company. They moved a houseful of stuff in less than 3 hours. They were professional and friendly and did an awesome job. I had overslept the morning of my move and they even helped pack the things I had left and didn't charge extra. They gave me the time to sort boxes where I wanted them and even moved something from the garage back to the house when I changed my mind. I was pleasantly surprised with the price and this paid for 3 movers! You will not be disappointed!

Description of Work: I contacted Good Stuff Moving to move me for a second time in 7 months. Brent set up a quote day for today, and the move was to be for Thursday the 5th.. Last time I was moved in May, 2011 by Good Stuff it was a pretty good experience but Brent charged me for more than the original quote because it took his team longer to complete. This morning at 6:30 am, just two days before he was supposed to move me, he called and bailed on me, without explanation. I pressed him for an explanation at noon and he claimed that his team said that we weren't "a good match." He also claimed that he left a message for me last week. I just double-checked my messages and he did call me on Friday, which is when we set up the quote time for today. He did not call again to cancel until THE VERY DAY WE HAD SCHEDULED FOR THE QUOTE. I paid him in full last time. I even paid him the overage, without delay. Not only did he do me wrong in May, he left me in an emergency situation today. BY ALL MEANS DO NOT WORK WITH THIS TEAM. THEY'LL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY WITHOUT BATTING AN EYE. I'm now scrambling to find an emergency replacement mover, and I'm also trying to run my business and get ready for the move myself. What a horrible experience!

Description of Work: Just called for an estimate the message on their phone said they would respond in 10 minutes during business hours. I called late in the day but during business hours but did not get a call back until the next day. I suggested they change their message.

Description of Work: He gave me a quote of $1800 for his moving services. He told me that I wouldn't be able to find someone to do the job for $1200. I actually paid a moving company $1050 for my entire move (moved from one house to another). I think he called me three to four times - seemed a bit excessive since the last time he called was the just a few days before my ove. I would definitely check around with other movers when getting quotes. They have called me three times since I posted this report to remedy the situation. ****Please stop calling me - I don't want to discuss this situation further - it was only an estimate****

Description of Work: Estimate was accurate. The truck arrived on time. The job was done quickly, efficiently, and with no issues.
