went fine; they brought their contraption in with all needed hoses, etc. and basically vacuumed out the air ducts... I would give them an A, but they tried to sell me stuff I didn't need by pointing out non-issues on my furnace to try to get me to buy extras...I'm almost sure they are told they have to do this - their company may not make much on this service if they don't sell some other stuff to bump up the costs, so I don't blame it on the guys who did the work(and for a change it was not possible to bite because I had been hit up by medical bills and there's no getting blood out of a rock) the results were good; my wife's allergies were quite a bit better afterward....

The service technician kept wanting me to buy additional services. I felt like he was more interested in selling me something than performing the service.

Great! He gave me suggestions to improve the insulation of my home and cleaned the chimney quickly and on time.

23 minutes after the technician was scheduled to arrive (1700hrs), I called. My call went immediately to voicemail? I assume because they were closed for the day. I live in Hugo and work in Minneapolis: a one-hour commute during normal drive times is standard. So coming home early for an appointment means adjusting meetings, being unavailable for coworkers, etc. In & of itself, this is not a deal-breaker, but?even though I'd told them we're in a townhouse with a 30' roof?they sent a tech with too short a ladder. He advised me to reschedule and ask for a named technician with the equipment needed. So I was absent from work for no actual gain. Combined with the disruption to my colleagues, this was very frustrating. **However**, the next day, the replacement technician( sub-contracted) showed up, did the work quickly, and was very professional. He reaffirmed my faith in this provider as a good service! I would advise customers to get the most detailed communication possible before committing to a service date. Once they're onsite (verify the subcontractor is insured), they are very thorough and professional.

Excellent service. Recommended sanitizing after a couple of dead mice were found during vent cleaning.

Although Twin Cities Furnace was unable to help us with our service request, they maintained the same positive professionalism we've experienced in the past. We'd call them out again for the services they provide.

Ben arrived right on time and was courteous and friendly and did a great job. I would highly recommend this company.

The rep, Dave, was on time. He called prior to arrival with the time he'd arrive and he was here as expected. He explained the process, then went about cleaning the vent.

From the moment the appointment started the customer experience was great. The company rep was very knowledgable and helpful. This person provided recommendations for my situation and took care of everything very efficiently. I have recommended this company to other family members and friends. I recommend this company and will certainly use them again for any future needs.

The technician did a poor job of cleaning out the firebox. He completed the job much quicker than sweeps I've had done in the past. These facts leave me to wonder how thorough the sweep and inspection were.

Everything went fine. The job was finished very quickly. 4 weeks later I found a LOT of lint where the dryer meets the vent. Not sure if that was just loosened, or new lint or if he just missed it.

Tech did a very nice job. Will use them again.

They showed up, did the work, left, and never once needed me for anything. After my request, I received a picture of the completed crown. It looks as though everything was done as described. Simple and easy to work with this company.

I purchased the services directly on Angie's list and was contacted within minutes to make an appointment (even though the transaction occurred around 8:30PM). The appointment was only two days out and I was given a 2 hour arrival window...the technician called as promised 30 minutes prior to arrival. Upon arrival several pieces of equipment were unloaded and carefully carted down to my mechanical room. As this was my first experience with duct cleaning I had a few questions which were addressed by the technician. Before starting the procedure he showed me a small device with "tentacles" which he called the predator which he said he could attach to the end of probe being inserted into the ducts and (for an additional $99) do a more "thorough job, especially since this was the first time the ducts were being cleaned'. I was a little annoyed that this option wasn't mentioned when I made the appointment, even more annoyed that the cost was higher than the base service, and left wondering what a "not so thorough" cleaning of my ducts would mean (I declined the added service). The technician moved quickly from room to room and was done in about an hour. Unfortunately I have no way to assess whether there was much debris removed from my ducts, but I'm sure they're cleaner than before. Quite frankly my rating reflects the uncertainty about the thoroughness of the service I received and the attempt for a last minute "upsell".

The technician Ben showed up, raised his voice, was surly, demeaning, refused to admit there was even the possibility that his scheduler and company had screwed up about the air vent / air duct cleaning fiasco, and basically acted like I was an idiot instead of a hard-working homeowner who'd cleared a day and put money into this, and who had been nothing but respectful when making these appointments and asking further questions ahead of time. It's not my fault their scheduler is telling opposite information from what they do or what needs to be done - she's the one checking with them directly, not the customer. (She'd also told me to get an Acoil cleaning estimate from him - which he said was impossible since I don't have central air - and that cleaning the blower wheel of the furnace was "included" - I kept all my messages and have them for proof that they promised all this. He was so argumentative, unprofessional and demeaning to me that finally I just said there's still the dyer vent cleaning I ordered, there's the dryer, I'm going upstairs because I was sick and tired of having him raise his voice, talk over me, and treat me like an idiot. I had already told him my time was wasted too, not just his! He acted like the victim, instead of an employee with a company who had made several big mistakes in a row. He wanted to blame me instead of professionally accept some sort of responsibility and keep things workable. Two seconds after I walk upstairs Ben comes barreling out of the basement, says he's not going to do any work, I can write whatever review I want, and leaves!!!! HE REFUSED TO DO ANY WORK, not even the dryer vent cleaning that was bought and paid for and that he had the tools and advance notice to do! I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. If I don't get a WRITTEN apology from that company and a full refund immediately for both items, I am taking Better Business Bureau. The company not only contracted for work they couldn't provide, they contracted for work they COULD provide and then refused to do so because the technician was being unprofessional and having a hissy fit. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Everything went very smoothly. I was advised that the venting was working well. Very little lint had accumulated in the two years since the most recent cleaning. I was advised that another cleaning would not be needed for 3-4 years.

Everything was done promptly and there were no surprises re price. The two workers did an excellent job protecting the roof and they did an excellent job cleaning up. I was very satisfied and very pleased with their work.

Very down to earth provider who was prompt, efficient, courteous, and honest. We had just finished a kitchen remodeling project that included tear down to the studs. So he had his work cut out for him. I noticed the difference right away.

We have been in the house 15 years and had never cleaned the ducts. So, it was probably past due. The technician was very professional. I did not stand around and watch what he did because I do not know anything about duct cleaning. I plan to call them again in 15 years. (If I am still in this house when I am 89).

The person who cleaned the chimney and fire box arrived on time. He was very pleasant. He had experience. Everything went well until he took a handful of soot he had in his hand and laid it temporarily directly on our brick hearth (without asking for a bag or piece of plastic to put it on first). He attempted to clean it up afterward by vacuuming it and scrubbing it but it left some dark marks that took additional effort to remove after he left. Apart from this easily correctable oversight, I felt good about the rest of the job he performed.

He arrived on time, went right to work and was very professional. He also answered all of our questions and explained exactly what ge was going to do. We are very satisfied.

Twin Cities Furnace provided great and prompt service. I purchased a deal on Angie's List for a chimney cleaning for $69. They called immediately to schedule a time, and were able to come out that week. Nick was prompt, friendly, professional, and did a very clean job. He went outside to look at our chimney, as well, and gave us advice about how to stoke our fires in the winter so that the chimney would draw better. All in all, a great experience!

Timely service and very honest. I've used Twin Cities to clean my air ducts previously and they always do great work. Definitely recommend them and will continue to use them in the future. A+

I called and scheduled a regular chimney sweep for my household fireplace (and found they were running a chimney sweeping special!). No issues with scheduling or call. Chimney sweep Dave called about mid-day on the day of my scheduled appointment to report he had some flexibility and could arrive earlier than 2 hour time window scheduled. I found this agreeable and he arrived 2 hours before time! Very professional and courteous. Discussed bricking in firebox and cap on chimney (both in good working order). Brought equipment and cover to keep area around fireplace clean and covered. Removed shoes at door. Dave also answered a few questions about future chimney maintenance for me. Overall, excellent service, prompt appointment, efficient cleaning of chimney. Would absolutely use again in the future.
