I called and scheduled the work for a couple days out. Roy called saying he was on the way. My wife let Roy in to see the dryer and he proceeded to perform the dryer vent cleaning service from the vent on the exterior of the house. Roy performed the work in about 15 minutes. I arrived home to find about 4 times the dryer lint debris on the mulch than there was before. I didn't think Roy would be able to get all of the lint picked up from the mulch because some had frozen into place, but I though the process would have included laying down a tarp to catch the majority of the lint debris that flies out with the process. I called Roy and he explained that the lint would just blow away and that birds would make a nest out of some of it. I expressed my concern that mice might use it for nesting. He apologized for the mess but said that is how he always performs this work. I then called Lisa to ask her if this is common practice and she said she would have to call me back after consulting with a technician. I told Lisa I had taken a photo and was about to write my angle's list review, so she requested I send her the photo which i did. She reiterated she would have to call me back after speaking to a technician to learn if this result was normal. She called back and said she had talked to Roy and that he said that moisture would break down the lint. She offered to have Roy come back to clean up the debris, but I told her I had already performed the clean-up myself. I told Lisa I would write an Angie's list review. I noticed that the number I called Lisa at was different than the number she called me back from. She explained that she was not at the W. 7th St. address listed on the invoice and website, since everyone works from home.

It went perfectly. They arrived slightly early, worked carefully, and left things clean.

These guys were awesome. When nobody else was willing to go up on the roof, they did. They were honest, professional and effective. They discovered that the roofer had left a screen under the vent - which the last vent cleaning company neglected to mention 6 months ago. Not only is this a fire hazard, but it should have been glaringly obvious. I will be using this company for this particular service (which is provided by a lot of shady fly-by-night organizations) every year. Great value and very impressed by the technician (Ben) that showed up. Great work!

Our dryer can be complicated to clean because it is a stacked washer dryer and the dryer has a very, very long vent. It was a good thing that I called them, as the vent was getting quite full of lint and it took awhile given the length of the venting run from the dryer to the outside. They were able to get it all clean and the dryer seems to be drying better. I will call them again next year to make sure I have a clean vent.

It went really fast - I honestly am not sure if that's because the chimney was really clean or because they did a "rush job" as we had just purchased the house and had the cleaning done as a precaution as opposed to a known need of a problem with the chimney. So I think they did a great job?!

No problems at all. Service provider arrived early (after confirming it'd be ok), cleaned and inspected metal flu in Chimney and gave me some recommendations on wood to burn.

Although the technician was young, he was very knowledgeable.

Ben came out and was professional helpful and informative. He took the time to explain what he would be doing and even gave me a few homeowner tips on keeping our furnace running smoothly in the future - type of air filters to use and how to troubleshoot minor furnace problems online. I would recommend them.

We could not have been more pleased. Did not rush though the job, and gave us lot's of money saving tips we could try. We would highly recommend them!

It went well, though not exactly as I expected. The technician was great, and he cleaned and did a visual inspection of two fireplaces. One of the fireplaces was cleaned and ready to go. The other was more of a problem. The damper was rusted shut, and when it was opened a cascade of debris fell into the fireplace. This was all cleaned up very well. Using a flashlight, the tech noted that the fireplace had crumbling brick and mortar, and would need to be relined. This will likely be a big repair job, costing several thousand dollars. I did not realize that this deal was just for a visual inspection, and that the tech would not go up on the roof for a more thorough diagnosis of the problem. I don't fault the company for that - it was my mistake. But in this case, the tech was not able to do a more thorough inspection and cost estimate for repair, and we will need to hire a chimney sweep to come out and do that. I would not hesitate to use the company for a basic cleaning in the future, but if you suspect a bigger issue, you should consult a more full service chimney sweep. I called a mortar company to get a cost estimate for repair, and they asked me a number of questions about the inspection (did the tech go on the roof, did they use a camera, etc) that indicated that we didn't get a thorough enough inspection to proceed with an estimate.

It really couldn't have gone better. Nick was not only very helpful and thorough, but extremely polite and easy to talk to!

Nick was great. He arrived on time and walked me through the whole process he was going to do to clean our duct work. I prepared him that I didn't believe the duct lines had ever been cleaned and that there had been alot of remodeling done to our house in the last few years. Once he prepared the lines for cleaning, he agreed they were dirty and offered the option to brush the main and rewritten lines after the high pressure vacuuming of the lines and vents. He also said I may want to consider a furnace cleaning as it is full of sheet rock dust. He informed me of the extra charges and told me to think about it while he cleaned the lines. Knowing how much work had been done to the house I didn't need time to think about it, but it was great that he didn't pressure me into making a decision, that may not have worked for my family and our budget. I'm so happy that I had Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning come out. I can already tell the difference in the quality of air in our home and the fact that I no longer need to diary every other day is a great thing too.

Not at the fault of the provider, but there is more than meets the eye when it comes to doing this which I was not aware of when scheduling the service. I feel it was worthwhile but the original quote does just cover basic service and not additional rooms and other elements of your HVAC system. Just be sure to ask a lot of questions up front if you are on a budget for this. Great service and I feel it was worth doing but I wished I had asked more questions at the outset to get a better sense for the total cost.

It turns out that my chimney was cleaned before. The provider clean the remaining dirt.

The portion of the duct I needed to have cleaned was not accessible. The contractor worked with me to clean out the duct. It took longer than the contractor expected but we got it done.

It went well. He swept out the fireplace and up into the chimney. He verified that the damper opened and closed.

Ben called me when he was on his way to the house, as I was promised he would do. He showed up, right on time, and went straight to work. He did say that the chimney was in need of cleaning, which was no surprise since it had been a couple of years -- and probably 50 fires -- since the last cleaning. While he was cleaning, he did mention that a chimney cap would be recommended because there were signs of early water damage to the interior of the chimney. There was no pressure to have him install the chimney cap, but he did say that, if I chose to do it myself, it should be done ASAP since more water coming down into the chimney would only do more damage to it. I agreed to have him install the chimney cap. He didn't have one in his vehicle, but, after a call to a co-worker who was in the area, he did find that he could pick one up from that co-worker and come back to install it right away. Overall, I would say that I was extremely pleased with the work done... and the experience of having Ben as the technician. He was thorough, professional, and detail-oriented.This company gets my highest rating. Good Job!
