When the owner came out to give an estimate, he was very professional and explained what was going on clearly and effectively. He called back with a bid in a fairly reasonable amount of time. My only problem was it did take a couple of weeks to schedule a time when he could come out and do the work because he was very busy. Otherwise, the job was done quickly and efficiently.

It went very well. I remember some communication being an issue. Once Bill, the owner, was on site he was excellent. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up. The stucco did not match the way we would have liked, but I'm not sure that's the company's fault. I think they covered things very well.

I thought he was a nice guy to work with. He was an honest person and did a good job. He was very responsive in terms of answering my questions, and he would call right back if I left him a message.

Relatively, promptly returned phone calls & arrived punctually. They were not willing to quote us on REPAIRING the stucco; they would only bid on removing all the stucco and redashing the whole section instead. We felt it was overkill considering the gaps around the new windows that need redashing were less than one inch wide.

The job went well, McClellan was competitive price wise with two other bids. Bill McClellans experience and matter of fact manner impressed me. The job started in the spring with sandblasting. This was even messier that we thought it would be (take note!) but had to be done. The repair and re-dash happened later as we were building a garage that was not complete. As delays continued on the garage (our issue) McClellan was flexible & decided to do the house anyway. Although our yard was not pristine the workers were good about masking the trim on the home and covering the ground. The workers were energetic, polite & cordial and explained what the work. We consulted on the color which took some time to get right but this was no problem for them. We were a bit suprised by some of the finish (i.e. roughness not color) on the window sills, etc so I recommend this as an area to discuss if you are considering this type of work. McClellan then came back and did a great job on the garage.

The job went very well. The quality is great and the color is just what I expected. They were great to work with too.

They were very slow to return phone calls over the summer. They did return the calls eventually.

Bill and crew were fantastic. Bill provided a timely and accurate bid, and kept in contact with me regarding scheduling of the work. He and his crew showed up on time and completed the entire project in two days. The house looks great, the crew was efficient and helpful, and Bill was on site, which I appreciated. I wish all contractors were this service-oriented; we are extremely happy with the results of the re-dash! I would definitely recommend Bill and crew.

They were very organized. They did a very good job and very easy to work with. They always consulted with how we wanted things done.

McClellan references raved about their work and they were on the mark. The prep work and first two coats (scratch and brown) were done quickly. The waiting period for the brown coat to dry was perfect since it allowed me to work in some additional work before Scott and Benny came out to do the rock star job on the top coat. Excellent job. We were working with a contractor and the quote for work/job was very high so we checked out Angie's list and found Bill's company. He returned all calls and e mails ASAP. He was very flexible and accommodating, as we were living out of town at the time and could only meet on limited dates/times. Our overall project (interior of house) expanded and lasted longer than we had expected so our project with Bill stretched over a two year period; sandblast one year and apply stucco more than a year later. This was NO problem with him and he remained very patient, understanding and helpful. When it came time to choose color, he even went to the house we had wanted to match and custom made a color for us. I would highly recommend Bill and would use him again if ever needed. We have been working on the house for over two years and he has been one of the most pleasant, professional and helpful people we have had the pleasure of working with. He finished yesterday and the house looks amazing!

Bill was prompt in returning my call and provided an estimate approximately 3 days later. Bill was not the least expensive bid I received, but it was competitive and included the necessary repairs to the adjoining brickwork. Bill did warn me that 1) the existing stucco was very old and would be difficult to match the color perfectly and 2) masonry repair was not his specialty. Bill said he would start the job about 3 weeks out. After 4 weeks I called and Bill apologized and explained that he was behind schedule due to weather. Bill started late the following week and finished early the next week. The masonry repairs were good and the stucco repairs were excellent. As the stucco cures, the color continues more closely match the original stucco.

The experience was excellent. The price quote was quick and in person. They were thorough and cleaned up after the work was complete. They really worked on the color matching. I would recommend McClellan to anyone. I had a competitor give me a quote and he was not nearly as knowledgeable or professional and his price was much higher.

Very good experience. Especially impressive service considering this was such a small job. Bill McClellan himself came out to look at the chimney. Very cordial and professional. I thought it would need bona-fide stucco repair, but Bill said caulk would do the trick. He promised to come back promptly to do the work, and then followed through as promised. Matched the caulk to the stucco color. It looks quite good for a patch. The price is a little high, but he warned me that his firm was better suited to larger jobs. I went with him because after talking with him, I knew he would do it right, and even though it's a small job, it was critically important to protect the integrity of the house against rain and snow. ***NOTE: McClellan Exteriors (not McClellan Stucco) is actually the company name on the invoice.

Once I requested an estimate I would expect them to take the initiative to get back to me rather than my having to call them. I got the feeling that they really did not want the job so they didn't get back to me.

Bill was very prompt in returning my call. He was kind enough to stop out on a weekend when he was in the area to look at our job and discuss our options. Bill's work was excellent; the patch work matches perfectly with the existing stucco. He and his assistant were courteous and neat. His price was comparable, a bit higher than some others, but worth it knowing that the job would be done well. I would highly recommend McClellan Stucco!

I took three bids to get this work done. Bill was just a bit lower then the other two. But, what won him the bid was the fact he was willing to rearrange his schedule to get my work done in two weeks. I flip properties and needed this work done ASAP. The other bids would not work with me. After Bill did the work, I was very impressed with the job. The paint blended very well with the rest of the stucco. And, the clean up was excellent. They were always on time and very professional. I would highly recommend Bill and his crew.

Bill McClellan came out, looked at the damaged stucco, ad told me how I could repair it myself! I appreciated his honesty. He was personable to deal with, too.

The representative responded to my phone call within two days. He scheduled to visit the next day and arrived promptly at the appointed time. Our feeling was that the representative was not all that clear about how to bid the job nor all that interested in bidding it, even though he said that he was. We never received a quote. Rating of C is an average of A for up-front and F for back end.

The bid was rather high so I'm going to get some others.

Bill was fantastic! I called him on Tuesday, and he came by that day. He came out on Thursday and did the work. It was very professionally done and looks terrific!

I was very pleased with my experience with McClellan Stucco. Bill provided excellent counsel ahead of time and even honored an estimate from last fall. The work was completed quickly and the crew did very nice work. I was also pleased that they cleaned up all debris, etc. My only very minor complaint was that I was not notified ahead of time of the exact day that the crew would begin work -- however, it was just a quick job, so it wasn't a problem. I would highly recommend McClellan.

THEY WERE EXCELLENT. THEY WERE VERY EASY TO GET A HOLD OF. THEY RETURNED CALLS PROMPTLY. IF ANYTHING CAME UP, THEY WOULD CALL AND INFORM US. THEY CAME WITH A VERY LARGE CREW. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET IT DONE IN THREE DAYS, ONE APPLICATION PER DAY. THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK ABOUT SIX WEEKS. THERE IS A CURING BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS.

Bill and his crew did a fantastic job! Our stucco looks great. He was very responsive to phone calls, and even spent a bunch of time helping manage my expectations of the ''color'' that it would eventually be. (We even drove around my St. Paul neighborhood, and I said, "THAT'S the color gray that I want." He would tell me, "That's PAINTED stucco, and your's is not going to ever be that dark of a gray unless you paint it, which somewhat defeats the purpose of a maintenance free stucco!" He was fantastic, the guys were all super nice, and they cleaned up our yard pretty well! (A few nails here and there.)

THE PILLAR LOOKS GREAT AND THE WALL IS OKAY BUT A LITTLE WAVY. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND LEFT THE AREA CLEAN.
